This reminds me of the Korean movie 'Madangeul Naon Amtak' translating into 'Leafie, A Hen into the Wild'!
I cried sssoooo much in it!

Its about a chicken named Leafy who grows up in a battery farm and pretends to die to escape. She becomes friends with a male duck who has an egg, but gets eaten by a weasel. Leafy looks after the egg, who hatches into a duckling. And you better watch the movie to find out!!
