What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

Rainpelt + need to experiment = caving mutato I debated on posting this or not since it's very different from stuff I normally do, but I'm hoping ya'll like it ^^"

I usually use a lot of "cool" spectrum colors like blue, green and purple. This time I told myself I could only use warm colors (minus the eye ^^)

Reason for his name
I chose the name Lumen because it is Latin for 'the light'. I see this Mutato's drawings to be showing a metaphor about life. Life can be dark and scary at times, and also lonely and cold, like a cave, but eventually you will see a light at the end of the tunnel that brings hope, and you can reach happiness. I named this Mutato Lumen because although he might look frightened, he is glowing with spirit and the light.

Wendell

Reason for choosing the name
Wendell means "wanderer" or "one who travels in or through a place without a defined direction", "one who goes astray".

A cave illustrates this perfectly, I think, which is why I went with the name.
It'd be easy to go astray within a cave. There's just so many things within them to be discovered, many things that we probably haven't even found yet, still stuck beneath a rock or deeper in where we can't go or have yet to go.

Reason for Name: I adore caves and the first one I ever experienced is called "Meramec Caverns"; I find mutatos adorable and this is the first one I am getting involved with.

+Name of the Mutato- Hmm, I think I'll name this little guy "Cameroon"

++Reason for choosing the name- I chose this name because that's the name of a cave (Not commonly known, though) and I thought the name really did match this Mutato for some reason, because it does sound like a cave or something when I say it. I think it really fits it.
