Yep it's a green lion. The yin-yang on its chest is to remind that with every bad, there is good. So even though the lion may seem odd, and bad, and outcast, it isn't. It can still be good and normal. The poor lion was outcast from the pride, but it is still loved by some, and remembered as old and wise. (And yes, I made this up randomly.)
