I am looking to adopt...
Kennel number: P134
Name: Tulia
Gender: Female
Breed: Wolf
Family: Khalon (brother)
Personality:Tulia is a naturally quite wolf. She doesn't really see the point in talking to her hard-headed brother, and the rest of the pack who don't take her seriously. When she does speak, she's usually very soft-spoken and isn't heard unless the wolf she's talking to was actually speaking to her in the first place. Her quiet nature is often mistaken for being uninterested or not opinionated about an issue.
She has a lot of problems within her pack mainly due to her brother, Khalon's, position as the alpha while she sits on one of the lowest rungs of the hierarchical ladder. Her brother values physical and mental strength that her quiet nature does not enable her to show off. The rest of the pack follows Khalon's lead, wanting to gain favor with him, and they often look down on her as a disgrace to their pack's strength. It doesn't help that she values hunting over fighting and can't hold her own in a battle.
Khalon privately tries to reassure her that he cares for her and that she doesn't need to take their pack's taunts, but his behavior towards her in the presence of the rest of their pack convinces her otherwise. She wants to call him out on his flaky behavior towards her, but she usually finds herself unable to speak up to his critical, harsh words reinforcing their packmates' condescending view of her. Instead, she just holds in the resentment and frustration for him and the others.
Despite all the verbal abuse she tends to get from her packmates, Tulia is naturally trusting of those who haven't wronged her. She always holds the hope that not all wolves are like those that harass her. There are times that she considers forgiving her packmates for their actions towards her when they apologize to her, but it always comes back to bite her later. It no surprise that over the years, there are fewer and fewer in her pack that she's willing to forgive, and she's started to hold onto grudges that she used to never dream of holding. Her most serious aggressors have lost the chance for her forgiveness, but her love hate relationship with Khalon makes him a weakness to her growing contempt.
Tulia is also very obedient even if she disagrees with what she's being told. Part of this was forced into her through her continuous demotion from relatively high status when the old alphas were around to omega status now that her brother is in control. The other influence of her obedience is her tendency to avoid conflicts. Seeing as she's not good at fighting and living in a pack full of wolves who value strength, obedience was the best strategy she could come up with to keep the others from starting all-out fights with her.

Kennel number: P139
Name: Khalon
Gender: Male
Breed: Wolf
Family: Tulia (sister)
Personality:Khalon is rather brutish in nature with strength being his number one priority. Weakness irritates him because showing weakness means showing that the pack is weak. Valuing strength so heavily puts him at odds with his more peaceful sister, and he can't help but make an example of her in front of the pack to be sure they don't become lax in their combat skills. He can tell his actions hurt Tulia, but being soft with her would go against his critical attitude towards his pack. On another level, he wants to make his sister tougher so that she doesn't need to be made the example. He can't accept that she won't change.
Speaking of being critical, Khalon is very critical of all the wolves in his pack. He wants nothing less than perfection from them and can be rather harsh when someone messes up. His own physical abilities keep the rest of his pack from questioning his criticism and leadership, and many of his packmates accept his criticism as advice on how to make themselves stronger. He wants his pack to be the most powerful pack in the area, and anyone who gets in the way of that goal can expect to get an earful from him, especially if his temper gets the better of him.
Khalon is a firm believer in "the end justifies the means". He would easily sacrifice one of his pack members if the entire pack benefits. This is one reason he's so quick to disregard Tulia's feelings when he uses her as an example for the other pack members. His ideals come from watching his parents when they were the leaders of the pack. Compassion didn't seem to get them anywhere, and the pack was constantly harassed by the other packs around their borders. Khalon knew he needed to take control to make the pack strong enough to fight the opposing packs, which meant usurping his parents from rule. His end justifies the means mentality allowed him to both take over and exile his parents from the pack.
Despite his harsh exterior, there is a part of Khalon that feels remorse for his actions. He locks it away as a weakness he doesn't want to deal with and moves forward. He also tends to physically lash out at anyone who makes him think of his guilt and denies the guilt exists. He feels it's in his pack's best interest to move forward and make them the strongest they can be rather than thinking of his feelings.

I've been wanting to go for these two since they were donated. They looked like they could go together as brother and sister, but I had no ideas at the time and refrained from posting a form. Unfortunately, I just couldn't leave them alone and reluctantly posted a form without knowing what to do with them.
It was only today that I figured out what I wanted to do with them. The problem had been that I wanted to make them really close, siblings. Thankfully, Tulia set me straight. As I was looking at her picture, I realized that they were not loving siblings. She wanted to tell me that they were not close at all. The "quotes" I posted came to me as I was becoming more aware of Tulia's voice. She wanted to me know how much she dislike Khalon, while Khalon snapped out in defense.
I have yet to tease the entire story out of these two, but I already feel like I understand them.
What will you do for them? They will get a spot on my character site as I work with them and figure out their story. I will definitely color them in free linearts when able, and I'll hopefully have the time to draw them later.
