About the Vitreus:
They come from the furthest depths of their planets core. They live in underground burrows and tunnels, which explains their protruding crystals above their fur. They have long scaly tails, and have scales running on their back hide, and their front forelegs. They have spikes coming from the back of their hind legs for digging and attacking purposes. Their front legs have really curved, almost scooped paws, this is also another attribute for them to dig with.
Vitreus:
Is a planet insanely close to a burning star. The whole planet you can imagine is very hot, maybe even posseses no life, but on the contrary life is abundant here. The plants and creatures that reside here are actually very large, and have learned to adapt to the hot climate. Almost every spieces on the plant "glows". Each creature for one reason or another was gifted the ability to absorb and use light, so during the day the glowing is not visible, but at night it lights up the whole planet. On the inside of the planet, there is several thick layers of crystals, where the Vitreus tend to live and create homes at. It is a lot hotter down in these levels due to the planets core, but the Vitreus have very resilient scales and are able to regulate their bodies tempurature despite the smoldering heat.
About the Vitreus personalities:
Males: the males are the more docile, and sweet of the breed. They actually are the ones who take care of the young while the females are off digging and hunting for food. The males tend to have a smaller body shape but tend to have more crystals from being underground most of their lives.
Females: they are more ferocious and violent. They are the hunters, and are more built up then the males are. The females have sharper beaks for hunting and killing purposes. They normally have very few crystals on their body, but some have been known to grow wings, but that is extremely rare.
About the Vitreus life span:
The Vitreus tend to live up to 75 years of age. The males tend to live longer, because they don't have to face the dangers of hunting and other things. The "pup" stage Is from the moment of birth till about the age of 12. Then the Viteus go through another stage of life as a "young adult" this stage lasts into their late 40's. Then finale they reach "adult hood" which lasts until the end.
About the Vitreus Habits:
The Vitreus tend to stay in what is called "Covens" which range from 3-10 members. They tend to stay in large numbers, And often have more females then males. It's common to see three or four males accompanied by six or seven females, very rarely is it the other way around.
They also all live in the same crystalline burrow, this is for protection, and defending purposes.
It is rare to see loners for Vitreus are very social and stick together.
