pet question PLEASE HELP!

hello so i have this pet

Adopt virtual pets at Chicken Smoothie!

and my wishlist saying he is from 2010 but his year is 2016, is this a glitch?

It's not a glitch, every year on December 18 you can adopt three released rare pets, that dog is originally from 2010 but was given to someone on December 18.
