Adonis curled up under the great willow tree. Though times were rough, he would never forget the beauty of the world around him. He dug through his knapsack and took out his book. "Nicomachean Ethics Book by Aristotle" Philosophy was a passion of his, something he studied in his free time. It put his mind at ease. Readjusting his position, he opened the book and began. A breeze came by, a flock of birds flew above. Nature had blessed them all, and he would never take that for granted.

what's their favorite thing about spring?:

I believe that every season is here
for each other, siblings in nature
individual in their personalities, changes,
but changing to help each other

I believe that everyone has a season which
speaks to them more than others
that a small part of themselves may
connect with and feel something familiar

My season is spring, a time in which
things change, bloom and grow
I feel myself in this time, and it gives me
hope in that I will change too

That one day a spring will come
when buds unfurl tentative petals,
warm winds kiss my cheek, my body,
and it will finally be a body I own

That this body will reflect me like
I see myself in spring rain puddles
pooling on soft grass, asphalt roads
cool against my restless bare feet

It took many years to find a truth
that I could speak, and knew was my own
then words fell from my tongue as easy
as cherry blossoms from the trees

Still hesitant, cautious in a way
like creatures emerging from burrows
taking slow steps out into a new world
reborn from its cold, winter sleep

Once words are out they cannot
be taken back, only built upon or
apologized for, but these words of mine
I will not ever want back to be hidden

I want the sweet winds to carry my truth
on the gentle spring breeze, roaming
hillsides, forests; let the bees hear, let all
who want to hear me, do so

I measure time by seasons; summers heat,
autumn flurries of red and gold,
winter snow, falling soft on warm tongues
to melt away, and reveal new life

With each spring that comes, I
know that a part of me has changed;
it is a slow process, but worth it
more than anything I have ever done

I feel a kinship with this season, as though
we share a kind of bond; a kind
of friendship, in knowing that
we are transforming in our own ways

It makes me feel like I am not
alone on this journey, this adventure
this life altering change I am undergoing
to make myself look like me

Feel like me, become me
a me that I may love and cherish
as the snow melts away and sun begins
to shine, in the spring, so shall I

what's their favorite thing about spring?:
Quinn's favorite thing about spring is spumoni ice cream! He loves the mixture of pasticcio, cherry, and chocolate ice cream. When he was a kit him and his sister would go out and get spumoni ice cream on the first day of spring to celebrate the new life that came with spring. His sister would always joke with him if the chocolate of the ice cream was vanilla instead that he'd be the color of spumoni and how it made her want to eat him up. Now many years later he doesn't see his sister much but still on that first day of spring they get together and eat spumoni ice cream.

what's their favorite thing about spring?:
Shouko is the prime definition of an extrovert. She thrives being around others and having fun! Even when she needs to be productive at her boring office job she can only focus when working with others. Shouko also loves to have friends over and her house is know as the meet up spot between her and all her friends.
However, the main struggle of being the biggest extrovert is being friends with tons of introverts.
Usually it isn't an issue, but during the winter her introverted friends like to hide themselves in their houses, never to arise. Shouko calls it the "Hibernation of the Introverts", and she can barely survive the loneliness of winter.
But that's why her favorite thing about spring is the awakening of her friends. The cool weather and beautiful nature help her introverted friends come out of hiding and want to socialize. Spring time means lots of adventures and happy times with friends after the depressing loneliness of winter.
