Big Message Coming Up!

So, about trading, it seems like i've gotten a mixed bag of reactions, though most of you think it's a good idea. I'm slightly hesitant to do it, though and here are the reasons why.

1) There's no real rarities.

The only pets that are "worth" more than others are the old lineart pets, but those aren't even worth that much right now. (I suppose if we are to do trading, the old lineart pets would be worth one new lineart pet + a breeding gem, but the value of the old lineart kits will continue to increase). So, if there are no real rarities, then the only reason for trading is swaping, which I suppose could work but rarities is such a fun way to do it. The reason there are no rarities is because I only release one of each smol kit to avoid confusion. I'm still trying to think of ways to incorporate rarities into Smol Kits.

2) People are dishonest.

When people are trading, a person must forfeit a code for their Smol Kit. There is no way I can know if you have "destroyed" it or not. The only way I can know if you're using it is if I see it in your signature or trade rules. This isn't a super big worry of mine, it seems like you guys are honest ovo

3) I'm worried about people getting scammed.

This kind of speaks for itself. Even though there aren't any real rarities, there still is the possibility.

I think you could put something like “trade at your own risk” or make a form where both people agree to trade.
For the upgrades, there could be something like a palette randomizer and an artist would just recolor it using the fill tool(?).

What about for the rarities, there could be a few traits that will sometimes (but not often) show up in designs that you aren't able to get with customs? Or if you can get them with customs they cost a lot of meme glasses? For example, the smol kit in your signature, if you decided bobbed tails or antlers would become an official 'rare' trait, that smol kit would go up in value. Another thing, depending on detail put into each smol kit the value would be different, like a kit with a simple design would have a lower rarity than one with a more intricate design. I don't know, I'm just throwing out a few ideas. I'm excited for the trading to become a thing though, it sounds like it could be really fun
