The night grows darker with every coming minute. There's no denying the fact that you need to get out of the dense, overgrown forest as quick as your legs can take you- but something catches your eye from the thick shrubbery. Something almost... Shiny? It's quite enough to stop you in your tracks.
The glimmering 'thing' appears to wiggle out of the bush, revealing a scornful viscet covered from head to torso with what looks like sharp vines made out of gold?!
"How did that get there?!"
The viscet looks you dead in the eye, opening its jaws as if it were going to say something.
Their eyes drop to the ground and they seat themself before you, looking kind of uncomfortable. He'd raise his eyes to meet yours again, the astonishing gleam of gold around his body almost blinding.
"You want to know what the vines are, I assume?"
You'd nod your head, sitting down in front of him and offering a smile, so that he might relax a little.
"Very well. I will tell you how i came to carry this curse, and why i cannot simply abadon it. You see, my family was cursed a long time ago, and the only escape is to either let my blood line die out, or to carry these vines for as long as i live until my heir is old enough to carry them him or herself. [wip]
-Cursed to carry life force of his fam's blood line
-accepted challenge after seeing how much others struggled with it
-he's too sweet ok
-surprisingly light vines, considering they're gold
-rlly nice guy

[center]Erebus is the kind of viscet that holds himself above others, and looks down upon those who he deems in-superior to him. He's quick to assume and extremely judgmental. He often finds himself in troublesome situations because of the way he sees and treats others, and those who know him are sure to keep a low profile while around him to avoid his passive-aggressive insults. He's quite the intimidating viscet, with his large and magnificent horns, and his appearance coupled with his attitude usually deters most from speaking to him or starting a conversation.

(Basic backstory idea so far: he messed with a witch and tricked her to do his bidding.
however the witch saw past his trickery and now is cursed- Now when he lies or deceives others
more vines grow, but when he tells the truth they slowly recede, though they never actually
go away, always at least a small band wraped around his horns unless he can manage to break
the curse. The vines will literally grow until they cover him completely and the thorns cause
injury. he doesn't tell anyone why they grow but most figure it out. he grew up spoiled and
learned to lie and device to get what he wants, so this life lesson is something he struggles
with the vines will slowly receed if he does nothing, but they go away much quicker if he
does good)
"...Help... Me..." the dark viscet barly managed to speak out, the vines around his neck so tight he could harldly breath. He looked up with pleading eyes towards the soft blue viscet, who stared back in horror. he reached a claw-like hand out to the cool blue viscet, trembling in shock. she looked down at the terrifying sight before her, frozen with shock at the sight of it. the black creature. Golden vines that almost glowed twisting this way and that, practically holding it to the ground with its weight.
The black creature, was in fact, another viscet. he was quite young still, an adolescent, still growing. The fear was clear in his eyes. "...Please..." the poor creature looked up to the small female. "im so tired... i cant move."
The bright moon shown overhead, almost adding to the shine of the vines, the crickets of the forests seemed to almost go quiet, listening in anticipation to the confrontation before them. a soft breeze soflty ruffled the fur of the two creatures standing face to face. the silence between them almost seemed louder than any sound could make.
Finally she found her words, "What... what happened?" her voice cracked and her mouth felt dry. A shiver went down her spine as the young viscet shifted and winced under the pain of the thorns around his neck.
"I... It was... she... i dont want to talk about it..." he said, tears hardly held back.
"I... what do i do...?" she said, unsure as how to help.
"I dont know" he sobed "It hurts so much... Its so heavy..."
neither knew of what to do. the black blanket of night blinded them as to were they were, for that night they were both lost and didnt know how to leave. They both agreed that it was best to wait for morning to navigate their way out of the dark woods. she tried to comfort him with her presence, running off shortly to get water from a nearby stream to clean his wounds and for him to drink. she did her best to comfort him and keep him comfortable. She noticed that there seemed to be less vines than when she found him, but thought it off as a play of her imagination.
So she stayed with him for the night. They introduced each other after a while, the silence between them had to be filled. The blue viscet introduced herself as Neela. The dark viscet told her his name, Basile. He didn't tell her what happened to him that fateful night, he was still shocked about it himself, not sure if what he was living was a dream or a hallucination of his tired mind.
As dawn came the vines slowly receded, wrapping more around the horns on his head than his body. Though he was still heavily covered, Neela managed to navigate out of the woods and take him back to her home. She better treated the wounds that had been caused by the vines to the best of her abilities, she was not much of a nurse.
A relationship grew between them, not like a lovers relationship, no, Neela was much older than the boy, but like a mother son relationship. Even with his stubborn personality Basile would never forget the kindness that was shown to him that night. she helped him adjust to his new curse, and they learned about it together.
