Capellas are creatures who make up for their innate laziness by being highly sensitive to their environments and extremely adaptable.
Their defining feature are the tympanica on their body, which is similar to the ears of a frog or the human eardrum. These are used to detect the sounds and vibrations from their environment.
Several subspecies of Capella are known to exist, but currently only one is well known, the Savanna Capella, named for its resemblance to the hyena.
Little is known of the other subspecies, but over time more information is sure to come to light ;~)
Audio Variable: A song or soundbite introduced to a Capella egg during development in order to influence their appearance.
Tympanica: A membrane that absorbs sound and is connected to the general nervous system of a Capella. The shape of the tympanica is consistent within subspecies of Capella except in extreme cases of mutation. Deformed tympanica are always defective, meaning the Capella is unable to change its appearance after hatching.
