Autumn has sparked! The leaves are turning orange, and the winds are tearing them from their branches. During autumn, births begin to increase in difficulty gradually. Food availability will drop; animals are beginning to move on and migrate as the food they eat dies. Villagers are harder to find and its much easier to obtain sickness.

➫ Sillarel, praying to her ancestors, requests a shaman. Her request is taken up, and the next morning the village finds a powered human the next morning.

➫ Sillarel goes hunting whilst Leith watches and finds x1 acouchi and x1 heron.

➫ Sillarel and Leith find a few items on patrol!
➳ They found x2 blankets and x1 compass

➫ Sillarel and Leith were going on a casual scouting trip when they suddenly hear a noise. A gorgon approaches them, sturdily built, watching them quietly before asking if the duo had a place to stay.

➫ Sillarel and Leith go gather outside- and while Leith complains, they find a few smaller items.

➫ Cataleya and Lorelie go off to hunt! They find x1 rabbit and x1 moose.

➫ Odin, Marley and Jay go and gather some things!
➳ They find x1 cherry seed, x2 apples, and x1 mushroom.

➫ Jay plants the watermelon seed!
➳ Unfortunately, the seed sprouted and wilted a few days later. The temperature seems to get colder.
➫ Marley plants the corn seed!
➳ Like Jay, the corn seed wilted days after planting. Try again next year?

➫ Ahtissari and Quinn spot a new member in the distance! They appear to be hunting. Quinn, curious, goes forth to see its an angel! After it misses its target (unfortunately), it spots them. Then, they introduce themself as a hunter, looking for a home. Is your village ready for another inhabitant?
➳ Their traits are ST - I8 / HS - LW / HC - 9 / EC - F8 / X / angel.

➫ Celeste, Jace, Reyna, and Ezra's scouting patrol didn't go all too seamlessly. After rustling a few branches, a completely wild fire-lizard fair flew around the party.
➳ While Celeste and Jace ran away perfectly fine and unharmed..the other two didn't have such luck. In the panic, Reyna, while fleeing from the fair, sprained her arm after hitting it on a tree and needs shamans totaling to 6+ kp to heal her, or rest for two posts. However, Ezra tripped onto two unsteady small logs, causing one to fall onto her right leg and effectively sprain it, close to breakage. Ezra needs a shaman pair totaling at least 7 KP to heal her and has to take 3 posts of rest.

➫ Cypris fails to gain any KP!

➫ Karmine gives birth to triplets!

➳ The second, unfortunately, didn't make it past the first night.

Border patrol
While the patrol rests for a while for lunch, a confused human walks in on them and almost walks over Corina, who had laid down for a nap. After some discussion and profuse apologies, it seems they would be interested in joining Ataraxy! They are a scout, and their traits are:

Hunting patrol
The hunting patrol is lucky with the place they decide to hunt in! They stumble upon a herd of deer and manage to hunt down x3 deer and x1 chicken.

Gathering patrol
The gathering patrol comes back with x1 lettuce, as well as x1 pumpkin seed

Scouting patrol
On the scouting patrol, the group sees signs that unknown people have been around. After following the tracks for a while, they are ambushed by bandits! Since the group was already alert, they manage to defend themselves well, but Kaiden is still throw off balance by one of the attackers, and gets a minor cut on her arm. Soon after, the group sends the bandits running for their lives. Kaiden will need x1 post of rest to make sure her injury doesn't get worse.

Scouting patrols
As Jar and Box begin making their way back home near the end of their patrol, the sky suddenly darkens and the wind starts to blow strongly. The two hurry, but are still outside when the rain starts pouring down. The visibility is very low, and at one point, Jar slips up and almost falls into the nearby river- Molasses reacts very fast and manages to swipe her back to safe land before anything happens! The rest of the way back is wet, but mostly uneventful.

Kryz and Geo's scouting patrol goes fine, until they stumble upon a group of prowling panters- most likely a group of siblings on the hunt. They immediately feel threatened by the two scouts, and attack without a moment's hesitation. Kryz is almost mauled by one, but Efeesz charges in and hits the panther away. However, behind the two, Geo is in deadly danger as she is cornered by three panthers. Efeesz is faster than anyone else, and, seeing no other option, places herself between the panthers and Geo. Under Geo and Kryz's horrified eyes, the panthers tear at Efeesz's wings and torso, and, by the time they manage to react and fight the panthers away by sheer force of anger, it's clear that Efeesz is very seriously injured.
The scouts manage to bring Efeesz back home, but Eribaeg knows he does not have the knowledge necessary to heal her (16+ KP required). Efeesz is permanently injured and will be unable to patrol from now on, forcing her into early retirement. She needs 4 posts of rest. If she is not able to get correct medical attention in that time, she will die.

Border patrols
Breyze stumbles upon what seems to have been an old camp, and scavenges x1 iron sword, x1 herb, x1 iron and x1 sand from there! At one point in the patrol however, Febreeze gets distracted by a shiny insect and flies off! Breyze will need to lure him back next post by offering 10 servings of any meat.

Solnar and Usaeth's patrol starts out very well, with the firelizards leading them to an old mining site, and they manage to get x2 twine, x1 copper ore, x1 iron ore, x1 iron ore and x1 stone! However, it seems the ground is not quite as stable as they had expected, and Usaeth twists her ankle when stepping on an unsteady stone, which rolls under her foot! She will need Eribaeg's attention or two posts of rest.

While near the borders of BRW territory, the patrol spots a singular person walking alone. The group goes to talk to them, and it turns out they are a scout, interested in joining BRW. Their traits are:

Waxinnan's patrol is happily going about their business when odd noises catch their attention- the neighing of a horse and the chattering of a fire-lizard. Approaching the sounds, they spot a firelizard perched on a horse's back, apparently talking to it. Both animals are tame, and would be willing to go back to BRW with the patrol.

Farming
The blueberry and redfruit seeds are both planted successfully, and will bloom in 2 posts! maybe you'll get some purpleplants

Training and testing
All testers, save for Gevol and Lemmima (who were both testing Tannercraft), succeed in their testing!
Ester and Tiennen both learn a skill in their respective trades!
Dallumi and Samantha both successfully learn dragon riding from their mentors!
Sedah, however, is extremely worn out from teaching Samantha while pregnant, when she should definitely have been resting. Due to this, there is a higher chance she or the child will have complications during birth.

Caliban and Spot have 6 adorable... puppies?... Those puppies look a little slythery to be normal puppies.. Congrats, you've got a litter of wyverns! Maybe Spot spends too much time around dragons and has become permeated by their dragon-ness. Wyverns have both the powers of a skilled dog and a skilled dragon. They require a handler, can live to be 13 years, and can breed with dogs or other wyverns to create dogs.

Dapple and Ashe have 2 fluffy puppies! So much fluff.

Territory:
The territory is tropical, situated in a forest. Rains occur often, pouring for a few minutes before abruptly stopping again. The climate is humid and usually quite warm. The change in seasons is barely noticeable, apart from a slight shift in temperature and slightly increased or decreased rainfall.

The exact location of the hive will be decided after the arrival of the Monarch.

Common Species:
All members are Insprites, insect-sized humans with insect features. (They essentially function as Insectipods.) They are about 3 cm tall on average at adulthood. I'd like to roll the species of the Insprites myself, if it's okay!

Mechanics:

• All Insprites have a human lifespan and mature at the same rate as humans.
• Sex is not limited in the same way insects are. (ie Honeybee workers do not have to be AFAB)
• They are born in eggs, but hatch into Larvae within a month at most.
• Itsy bitsy versions of the various powered animals exist in this world as well.
• While they are called Insprites, they can be partially any bug, not just insects. (E.g. spiders, scorpions, centipedes)
• All Insprites are omnivorous like humans.
• Instead of visiting Ancestors, the Monarch, Viceroys, or Cicadas will find the new member by chance in their territory.
• Children born from two Insprites of different insect species can take on either Insprite's species.

Traditions:

• The members of the Manifold Hive are not permitted to hunt one another, and may be exiled if they do. There is sufficient food for everyone.
• Likewise, no one should discriminate against another for their species.
• The Manifold Hive as a whole refer to themselves as a hive. They refer to one another as hivemates.
• The Manifold Hive has no special naming system.
• The Manifold Hive does not have beliefs.

Ranks: (These are the names of the ranks, not the species of the Insprites that can work in these ranks! Each rank name has the plural form in a bracket.)

• Monarch (Monarchs), the leader of the hive and the one with the most deciding power. There is usually 1 at a time. (Head Chief replacement)
• Viceroy (Viceroys) are second-in-commands, named after the viceroy butterfly-appearing similar to the monarch butterfly but without the poison. They advise the Monarch and assist in making decisions. There are at least 2 Viceroys at a time.
• Cicada (Cicadas) are the healers. They are in charge of healing injuries and sicknesses among hivemates, both physical and mental. They also participate in large decisions. (Shaman replacement)
• Head Bombardier (Head Bombardiers) and Bombardier (Bombardiers) are responsible for defending the hive from enemies and predators. Head Bombardiers also report back to the Monarch or Viceroys regarding happenings. There is usually 1 Head Bombardier at a time, and any amount of Bombardiers. (War chief/Warriors replacement)
• Head Stickbug (Head Stickbugs) and Stickbug (Stickbugs) are responsible for patrolling outside of the hive's territory. Head Stickbugs also report back to the Monarch or Viceroys regarding happenings. There is usually 1 Head Stickbug at a time, and any amount of Stickbugs. (Scout chief/Scouts replacement)
• Head Dragonfly (Head Dragonflies) and Dragonfly (Dragonflies) are responsible for hunting for the tribe, usually bugs but sometimes larger animals. There is usually 1 Head Dragonfly at a time, and any amount of Dragonflies. (Hunter chief/Hunters replacement)
• Head Leafcutter (Head Leafcutters) and Leafcutter (Leafcutters) are responsible for gathering vegetables and fruits, and maybe making a farm in the future. There is usually 1 Head Leafcutter at a time, and any amount of Leafcutters. (Gatherer chief/Gatherers replacement)
• Grasshopper (Grasshoppers) are in the process of learning how to do their specifically chosen job. They are each assigned a Cicada, Bombardier, Stickbug, Dragonfly, or Leafcutter to mentor them, depending on the job they wanted to go into. They are usually 13 to 18 years old, and need to learn 4 skills before graduating and becoming an official worker (Skills will be listed below). They are usually referred to as "(Profession) Grasshopper". For example, "Cicada Grasshopper". (Apprentices replacement)
• Cricket (Crickets) are still trying out the various types of jobs and trying to decide which one to learn when they become Grasshoppers. They will spend a year helping each Head (and possibly the Cicadas replacing one of the Heads) before deciding on the profession they want to go into as a Grasshopper. They are usually 8 to 12 years old, and must work with at least 4 Heads and/or the Cicadas before becoming Grasshoppers. (Tester replacement)
• Lace Bug (Lace Bugs), sometimes also referred to as Lacey (Laceys), are taking care of at least one Larva. They are excused from their duties until their Larva is grown. (Caregivers replacement)
• Larva (Larvae) are youngsters who are still growing. They need a Lace Bug to look out for them and care for them. They are 7 years old or less. (Children replacement)
• Termite (Termites) are usually the oldest members of the hive, and have retired from their duties due to old age. However, some of them are also Termites due to conditions that render them incapable of performing any duty. They are often consulted for advice in decision-making. (Elders replacement)

• Cicada Grasshopper: Identifying herbs, Identifying illnesses, Healing, Psychology
• Bombardier Grasshopper: Enemy types, Sneaking, Attacking, Dodging
• Stickbug Grasshopper: Sneaking, Enemy types, Observing, Escaping
• Dragonfly Grasshopper: Prey types, Sneaking, Attacking, Transporting
• Leafcutter Grasshopper: Harvesting, Cutting, Transporting, Storing

Non-Mechanic abilities:

• They can communicate with one another telepathically through a hivemind-esque connection. Naturally social insects tend to be better connected to the hivemind.
• The hivemind also allows everyone to know when someone dies.
• Honeybee Insprites have a stinger in their dominant hand's wrist that can be used to attack enemies, injecting lethal venom. However, the bee dies immediately afterwards, often taking their last breath alongside their victim.
• Other stinger-bearing Insprites have the stinger in the same spot, but do not die after a sting. Their venom tend to be paralysing or have non-lethal effects.
• Spider Insprites can spin silk from their belly button.
• Insprites of the various bug species will have their abilities added to a list that will be linked in every post, to make it easier.

It had been too long since Halo Skyrider had seen another angel - or, well, a fallen angel he supposed. He approached the fellow fallen angel carefully, clearing his throat to get their attention.
Halo hadn’t expected them to recognize him, Lux Everdays looked new to him. But when Lux spoke, Halo knew where they knew each other from.
“You’re the angel who was thinking about Artemis being a lesbian.” It wasn’t a question. Lux blushed, his face turning red, clearly embarrassed.
Halo smiled at Lux. He had a feeling they were going to be good friends…

Ram awoke suddenly in the middle of the night and shot right up. “Oh no,” he said almost monotone. “…okay guess it’s time to give birth.”

Marcy freaked out when Ram woke them up, but calmed down a bit after she saw who it was. They had become okayish friends over their time in Fireborn. And then Ram opened his mouth. Now she was screaming, calling for the new herbalist that drooled over their fearless leader Lux. Ram considered telling Lux that Halo was in love with him, but figured he’d let Lux figure it out on his own. A cruel move really, but it had been four years since the collapse of heaven so Ram was really hoping that Lux had gained some social skills.
