weather, prey is scarce. Just before Pinecone suggest that they return home, a rabbit leaps out of a bush
and scurries right past them prompting the two sharpclaws to give chase. Their joint efforts pay off and
they come back to camp with +1 rabbit.

LAST MOON:
When Rogerfang and Nettlepath found the black tom, they were relieved. He was sitting on the border of StemClan territory, green eyes glowing. "Hello." he mewed.

"Hello, stranger. " Rogerfang rumbled. "What brings you here? " The black tom smirked. "I heard the blizzard damaged a group living around her." he mewed. "I thought I could help rebuild."

Rogerfang shared a glance with Nettlepath. "One moment, please. " Rogerfang told the loner. He led his trainee away from him. "What do you think? " he hissed.

"Who, me?"Nettlepath asked, surprised. "Yes you! " Rogerfang growled back. "Be my voice of reason. "

The trainee though for a moment. "I think...I think it would be nice to have a new cat but I wouldn't accept him. If the word of our unfortune has got to rogues, he could be trying to sabatoge the clan. So, no, just leave him." Rogerfang nodded gruffly. "Alright. " he said. "I understand your point. But StemClan will die if this keeps going on....and we need warriors or lookouts, desperately. "

"Fine, let your voice of reason go unheard." Rogerfang snorted at his trainee then turned to the tom. "Follow me. " He called. "I'll lead you to camp. "

THIS MOON:
StemClan had grown accustomed to Noble, the black rogue. He was hardy through Leafbare, and didn't hesitate to believe in StarClan, though he always acted in charge. What The four survivors didn't see was the real Noble the tom hid beneath, and when they did, it was too late.

Noble and Icenose had returned from a fruitless hunting patrol when Noble leaped onto the leader's ledge. Icenose hesitated before saying something. "Noble, that ledge is for leaders. Please, get down from there." Noble just grinned. "Make me." he said.

Rogerfang emerged from the Lookout's den to see Icenose and Noble locked in a staring contest. "What's going on? " he grumbled.

"Mr. Oh-so-powerful thinks he can act and be a leader by being on the ledge! I believe he wants to be Noblestar, our leader!"

Rogerfang looked at Noble. "Is this true? " he asked. Noble gave a swift nod, and sat down. "And it's all in my power. Though I will not take on that silly suffix, - star." the tom's eyes seemed to glow. "So bring your sorry little trainees out here and I have a speech to give." Something in his gaze let Rogerfang know he was in real danger, and the hostile, gruff, tom, followed orders for once.

Once Flarepath and Nettlepath were gathered beneath the ledge as well, Noble started his speech. "This....Clan, does not sit under leadership, nor the right beliefs." Rogerfang opened his mouth to argue, but Noble continued on. "BrightClan - " "Whatever. BrightClan and DarkClan are just smaller Afterlifes under the reigning power of Pantheons of gods and goddesses. So powerful, they could blast you to pieces with a flick of their finger, or even give you nine lives. These are your superiors that have blessed me."

Rogerfang couldn't handle it. "You pompous, arrogant, control freak! It's StarClan! You hold no power over us, and cannot claim leadership! "

Noble's face twisted into a disgustingly handsome snarl. "SILENCE, Soldier!"

Rogerfang tried to speak, but found he couldn't. His mouth opened and closed with no sound. "Idiot." growled Noble. He shook his fur out, like getting rid of fleas, and continued.

"As I demonstrated, the power of the Gods is enough to make a cat mute. Rogerfang will have to figure out a way to communicate non-verbally."

Rogerfang's eyes widened. "So," Noble said, smirking, "I suggest you accept me unless you all want to go deaf and blind and mute."

Flarepath's jaw was wide open and his eyes awed. "I accept you." he mewed. Nettlepath stared at him in shock. "Flarepath, ignore him! Flarepath....brother, what are you doing!?"

Noble grinned. "Your brother recognizes power when he sees it." he said. "And on that topic, trainees will do you no good as a rank. I think......Rookies and Cadets. Yes. Rookies for the she-cats, Cadets for the toms." He smirked. "So, Rookienettle, how do you feel now?" Nettlepath blinked. "Your.....your changing my name?"

"Yep." said Noble. "And Flarepath here is Cadetflare, now." Flarepath's eyes glowed. "Thank you, Noble, sir!" "My pleasure." Noble said.

He went on to change ranks. And names. And become the dictator of StemClan. And finally, at the end, Noble grinned at his new subjects and said, "Welcome, my friends, to The Empire of the Gods."

Leafbare- Ugh, Starclan help us! The cold time has returned and seems to be even worse than the start of Leafbare had been last year! The snow fell in a soft and pleasant flurry for a few hours before becoming a heavy snowstorm. Many cats and prey have gone into hiding, so it'll be difficult to find either at this time of Leafbare.

meanwhile, are rarely accepted in highgarden, and patrols are told to chase elders from their territory if found. only those who served
as a knight or a rose for many moons and are respected within highgarden may earn the rank of elder, known as the wilted.

politics and bloodlines play a large role in the life of highgarden. in the event the queen does not produce a female heir before her death,
her attendant may produce a female heir, if one is available, who will then take the role of queen. in the event that neither is available,
the roses engage in a fight for the throne.
forbidden romances are encouraged for the knights and roses, to introduce new blood into highgarden. if a queen, heir, or attendant
is found to have taken a forbidden mate, they will be stripped of their title, and any kits will be disregarded in the future as having any
power.
instead of taking the -star suffix, queens take the name -rose when they come to power in honor of the flowers of highgarden's territory.

highgarden sits in the middle of a mountainous valley. the camp rests in the lowest part of the valley, where the fertile land created a
flowered shelter. the cats make their dens in the roots and trunks of trees. the climate stays towards the mild side, but flooding is common
during the spring, and the cats have to move to higher levels of the valley to stay safe. flash flooding can cause issues for the cats, but
a nearby river provides training for trainees, who learn to swim from a young age.

Ardor purred softly, brushing against the dark tabby flank of Anwir. For many moons now, the dilute calico had been meeting the tom of a rival group in secret. She knew the dangers of betraying her group but she did it anyway, Anwir was the only one who seemed to understand who she really was. "How much longer until I can come join you in your group?" She questioned, looking up into the dark tabby's amber eyes.

His gaze flickered away for a moment before returning his attention to her. "Soon, Ardor," He mewed, giving her ear a quick nip. "I need to return home, I promised Safa that I would help her hunt." Ardor perked up slightly at the mention of the she-cat. Safa had always been friendly to Ardor, even though she really didn't have to, and Ardor always enjoyed her company. Anwir and Safa had been close friends for a long time so Ardor was happy to know that she could be just as close with her mate's friend as they were to each other.

Anwir nuzzled Ardor once more before taking his leave, promising to return another time to see her. Ardor watched after him, her bushy tail swishing happily as she turned and started to head back to her group's camp. She knew that if they found out she had been giving secrets away to Anwir's group that she would be kicked out of the group or even killed. The dilute calico halted suddenly when she noticed a bundled of herbs left on the floor. "Oh, he must've left them." She murmured to herself before picking them up.

The she-cat hurried off in the direction Anwir had gone, a tiny bit excited that she was already able to see him again already. Ardor ducked away behind a few bushes when she noticed a small patrol was coming by, some of them already carrying prey. She narrowed her eyes as she tried to pick out Anwir or even the pale chinchilla shaded and flat faced Safa. Ardor's head tilted slightly when she couldn't catch sight of either of them, wondering why they weren't on the hunting patrol that Anwir said they were going to be on.

Ardor's ears perked up when she heard a soft trilling noise further in the undergrowth, recognizing that the sweet sound belonged to Safa. The dilute calico rose to her paws and moved closer to where the noise was coming from, peering through a gap in the bushes. Anwir was sitting in the middle of a small clearing, purring softly as he rubbed noses with Safa, who's bushy tail was kinked happily over her back. While Ardor hadn't seen Safa in a few weeks, she immediately recognized that her body was different. The she-cat had always been bushy, but that was mainly because of her fur, but now she was round in her middle, a very clear sign that the she-cat was expecting kits.

Anwir brushed his tail over Safa's belly, a fond look on his eyes. Ardor's yellow eyes flashed in disbelief and then in anger. The dilute calico burst out of her hiding spot, spitting in anger and bristling her fur. "What are you doing here?" Anwir asked quickly, a panicked look in his eyes. Safa's dark green eyes widened in shock and fear.

"You forgot the herbs you gathered at our meeting spot," Ardor mewed, her slotted eyes never leaving Safa. "And am I wrong to assume that those are your kits?" Anwir and Safa shared a worried look, unsure of what to say to the hurt she-cat. That look was all the confirmation that Ardor needed. She launched herself at Safa, barreling into the she-cat and raking her claws across her flattened muzzle. Safa let out a short cry that was cut off by Ardor's teeth when they sank into her throat. Once the chinchilla shaded she-cat went still, Ardor turned towards Anwir, hatred in her eyes as she licked her muzzle clean. The dilute calico circled Anwir, flashing her fangs at the tom she had loved. With a rage-filled hiss, the she-cat lashed out-

"And tore his throat open!" Widowscrap cackled, earning several cries from Hawkspark, Magpiespark, Waspspark and Bumblespark. Gucciscrap rolled her blue eyes, whacking the black she-cat on the back of the head.

"That isn't even the scariest story that you could tell." Gucciscrap mewed, licking her paw and drawing it over her ears. That statement caught the attention of the sparks, who all whirled around to face the other gang, their tiny tails perked up in excitement.

"What is it?!" They all shouted.

"I'll have to tell you another time, I have patrols to go on." Gucciscrap mewed, hauling herself to her paws. "Ciao, little ones." She mewed haughtily before strutting off to find her mentor.

Roachtrack and Tunamouth slowly made their way down to the lake's edge, casting nervous glances over their shoulders everytime they heard a Twoleg's voice. The clan hadn't come down to the lake yet but Roachtrack decided that it would probably be a good idea to check out if there was any fish that they could manage to catch. Since it was Leafbare, the Clan cats had very little chance of catching anything because of the lake being frozen over.

Tunamouth paced along the edge of the lake, his green and blue eyes focused intently on the surface. "I think there's a hole in the surface over there." The white tom called to Roachtrack, gesturing towards the hole with his tail. "The ice seems alright, I'll go check it out." The long-haired tom stepped out onto the ice, his paws starting to slip a little bit on the smooth surface. Once he regained his footing, Tunamouth began carefully scooting his away across the ice. Just as he was about to reach the hole he mentioned, a spider web of cracks appeared on the ice beneath him. Before he could react, the ice gave away and Tunamouth fell into the freezing water.

"Tunamouth!" Roachtrack shouted, running along the edge while trying to find a safe way to get to the tom without having to go onto the ice. "Saints, save him!" He prayed. Suddenly, a long-haired ginger and white she-cat shouldered Roachtrack out of the way and hurried onto the ice, a disgusted look on her face as she glared back at Roachtrack.

"Your 'Saints' won't do anything, you idiot." She spat as she made her way to where Tunamouth had disappeared. The she-cat ducked her head into the water, looking around for the tom the best she could, only to come up again when Tunamouth surfaced as well. The white tom was a sputtering mess.

"Serpenttongue, be careful." A voice called from behind Roachtrack. The ringleader turned to see the russian blue she-cat named Meadowstar making her way towards them. Roachtrack remembered meeting the she-cat at the last gathering. "I'm sorry, Serpenttongue can be quite blunt sometimes." She laughed.

Roachtrack snorted, shaking his head. "Well, I'm glad you two showed up. I don't know if I would've been able to get Tunamouth out in time." Meadowstar nodded in agreement before turning to watch her warrior ridicule Tunamouth for being an idiot and going out on the ice.

It was freezing. That was the only thought on Scorchstar's mind as he did his best to hunt. He and Firesong hadn't had a lot of luck this past moon, finding only a squirrel on their last trip. It had been enough to help them... but not enough to satisfy or to make Scorchstar feel that they could last for the rest of Leaf-bare. He didn't want to complain, but geez... it was cold. Not to mention the fact that Scorchstar had been unable to recruit any other cats since Firesong joined. His spirits were starting to sink, and he thought that maybe he wouldn't be able to start his own Clan after all... the only thing keeping him from abandoning his dream of leading his own Clan was Firesong. He wasn't sure he'd still be here if it weren't for the she-cat.

That was the only good thing about Leaf-bare. Firesong spent her nights up in his den, close together and cuddled up against each other to try and keep warm. At first, it made Scorchstar very nervous and on edge about making any move, but after a while he realized that Firesong was truly an amazing cat. They would spend the colder nights, where neither of them could sleep, huddled up in a small pile of leaves and moss, noses tucked into each other's fur, talking softly about their pasts to each other. Even though these nights were bitter, they were some of Scorchstar's favorite. He had never found a cat he connected so well to before. He truly felt like he loved Firesong, and he told her that just a couple sunrises ago. He purred quietly, thinking of it to himself.

It was one of the bitterly cold nights, and neither were able to sleep until the sun started to rise and the temperature got a little warmer. Granted, he had been in a haze of grogginess, but he knew his emotions were true, and he told her that when they both woke up when it was nearly sunhigh. He had just said it before drifting off. He didn't say he loved her in those exact words, but he did say that he wanted to spend the rest of his life by her side. She agreed, purring, and bathed him until he fell asleep. That morning, he had sucked up his nervousness and decided to ask her to be mates. To his great surprise, she agreed, and Scorchstar couldn't have been happier.

The warmth of the next day gave Scorchstar some hope. He decided that Blazingcloud might be his best option, since no cats had been seen in the vicinity. Perhaps Blazingcloud could help Scorchstar find at least one more cat for now... he would feel a lot better about this whole Clan thing, instead of just having Firesong and perhaps, one day, their kin.

So while Firesong and Scorchstar decided to hunt, instead of heading back to camp after hunting, Scorchstar decided to show Firesong the Moonpool and request Blazingcloud to help him out again... after all, he found Firesong for him, and Firesong had been the best cat to ever enter Scorchstar's life...

The Cats of Elderberry Valley

A long time ago, when the humans left this village for the great unknown, they left behind them fierce, well trained cats, who, as the legend goes, had to decided to stay and keep the village protected until their return. However, the humans decided the wide world was a home more befitting; and so the felines claimed the valley as their own.

Generations passes, however, and the cats, formerly orderly, and harmonious with themselves, each other and nature, turned on one another and began what is called 'The War of Whisker', named for the cat - called Whisker for his long whiskers - who supposedly started it. It was an epic battle which shook the valley to it's roots, even disrupting the way of other animals lives. Thus, the cats almost destroyed each other. In fact, they did, pretty much - few were left when the battle was over!

It was tragic for the survivors, but the last fighters, as well s the surviving mothers and kits, were too exhausted to fight. In fact, they were quite prepared to give up. However, though Whisker's foes and Whisker had died, his only son was left. And he sought peace, and to rebuild the former home of The Cats of Elderberry Valley.

Elderberry Valley, or 'ElderberryClan', is a non-traditional clan in the normal sense. It's similar in many ways, such as basic ranks with slightly changed names, as well as ancestors similar to StarClan - they are called 'The Flown' however- as well as a place similar to the Dark forest - called 'The Lost'.

The cats are mostly larger sized felines with wildcat ancestry. Fluffy and shorthair are both equally common. The territory is very cold in winter, however, and so most care have very thick fur.

They live in a valley filled with elderberry plants and a mix of pine and other trees, as well as a distant, pretty birch forest. It has an abandoned, old fashioned town in it, and the main feature is a run down medieval castle. This is the clan's camp.

The clan is very brave and loyal. While they do hunt local animals, they are also willing to help other animals. They like learning and cooperation, especially after moons of war. They hunt primarily squirrels, and also mice and other rodents, and very rarely, birds and hares. However, they are, for the most part, under a treaty with birds - they don't hunt them, and the bird help them by hunting, scouting and bringing messages. Thus, the clan trains and is friends with a few species of birds.

The leader is called Captain, and the deputy, The Organizer. The clan is divided into different ranks based on different jobs needed, and among these is their medicine cat equivalent, called doctors. Apprentices are still called apprentices and queens and kits, simply mothers and kittens. Elders are not a rank; cats do not formally retire, simply keeping their rank, but usually given more and more rest time. There is also a council of five which help he higher ranks make decisions.
