Because the weather outside is so lovely, lots of cats are going out to enjoy it, and they might just need a new Tribe to settle down in. In a magical world ruled by creatures told of only in myths, one feline seeks a destiny of their own, far away from the wars consuming their homeland and the prejudice against magic-users like them. Necromancer, they were called. Unnatural. Valuable. Perfect for the front lines. They made a long trek across the continent to the coast and onward, to a small island chain secluded from the rest of the world. This island chain was perfect for a new home and the feline was fascinated to discover the crystal-like structures that grew on the islands. They decided to stay there, far away from politics, and promised to help any other felines who might stumble upon them.

As with all other sapient species in this world, the felines of Crystalline Island have an animal form (typically that of an animal resembling a "big cat") and a human form, and a variety of powers typically attuned to the elements. The leaders of the fellowship are all the direct descendants of the founder and are primary necromancers, a rare magic found almost nowhere else. Due to magic augmenting their bodies, the felines are capable of living for approximately 150 years given that they don't fall prey to the dangers on the islands and in the waters.

in a ash filled wasteland, lives a group of cats. they're stealthy and fairly good tricksters, they like to cause chaos and disruptions between other cats. this is the order of silent whispers. notoriously known for their ability to sneak through the shadows, and unexpectedly win battles. many fear the ash covered cats due to their mysterious personalities and the odd silence they have. despite this the cats within the order have no care for anyone but themselves.
their commander was cold and brooding, rarely seen by anyone in the order. this led to some disruptions between cats in the order. but many moons have passed since that time, and their heir has since then risen to power, proving to be much stronger than the previous one.

appearance:
the cats of the order come in various colors and sizes, most of them are dark colored to match the ashy earth of the landscape around them. majority of them have horns, while its rare some even have wings.

traditions:
-acceptance of new blood: when a kit reaches the age of three moons they are brought before the order. the order votes on whether the kit is worthy of becoming a full member of the order. on the rare occasion that a kit is rejected by the order, they are brought outside the wasteland and left to fend for themselves. if they somehow survive and make their way back to the wasteland they are allowed to train, but not with the same respect as the others.
-the night of whispers: when an apprentice is ready to complete their training they must undergo a series of tests that contain everything they should have learned in their training. if they get past the training portion they are brought to the cave of a thousand whispers (where they talk to the spirits) where they receive their blessing to become a soldier.

Requiem of the Denizens, or The Denizens, live on a strange planet named Gonij. It's a planet that's covered in ice and snow for majority of the year, just with some of the seasons being warmer than others to differentiate spring and summer and the like. The sky above is a constant red, just getting lighter and darker to differentiate between night and day. Under the surface it is full of water, and if you are patient enough at the edge of the waters, you can find fish like creatures to eat. However, emerging yourself in it for long enough can easily result in a death since the planet is so cold.

Their planet is quiet far away from the sun equivalent, and the cats here have grown to adapt to this by either having thicker skin, fluffier fur, or a mixture of both. They are known to be ruthless, and are one of the main predators here on Gonij. Their Leader may be a bit ruthless at times, and sends his mages off to fight against some of the cruellest creatures Gonij has to offer, but despite that it is painfully obvious how much he cares for the Denizens underneath it all.

[ Osoor are, quite possibly, the scariest predators to be found on
Gonij. They are large creatures that are white with markings of
various shades of red. They are more or less a mixture of polar
bears and dragons, and are at least 3 times the size of a cat. It is
very dangerous for a Fellowship to come across an Osoor, as they
can easily destroy everything that they've built up. Only the
bravest go up against them. ]
[ Voczu kind of look like large deer, but they are far from the deer
on Earth. Voczu have a mouth full of sharp teeth, and can walk on
their hind legs in order to reach up to high places. Sometimes they
have Joubim perched up in their antlers, and it honestly just makes
them look more intimidating. ]
[ Pukyeek are very large bird like creatures. They are known to swoop
down and take away young kittens in their overly large beaks. They
have little talons, barely big enough to fit a Vassiut in them, and
instead use their oddly large beak for everything. It's shaped almost
like a pelicans. ]
[ Bexxielo are a large, dangerous type of aquatic creature. They are
known for jumping out and attacking cats when they're fishing for
Piurin. They have tentacles that they used to drag the cats down into
the depths, and even if they don't end up drowning them and the cats
get away, the cats usually freeze to death soon after getting out, and
the Bexxielo can walk on land, and will follow after them they
drag their prey back down. ]
[ Cuulge are large, mutated cats. Legends say they were once the
creatures that formed Fellowships here on Gonij, but those days are
long past. Now, the Cuulge live up in the mountains, and occasionally
come down the stalk the snowy plains, and terrorize the Denizens. ]

disguise themselves as rocks, and tend to hide under the snow.

these are not cold-blooded. These creatures run warm, and often live in
pockets under the snow where the warmth of their own breaths keep them
well insulated and cozy. They have a sweet taste to them, and their tails

They are small with long tails, and fur that makes them look like they'd
actually be a serving size of 3. They are a bit large, but since there is so
much fluff to them they're actually just worth 2. ]

tunnels near where the Denizens live where there is good water, and Piurin
are very commonly found in these little pockets of water. They are a soft
red colour, and have large tail fins that are used to put on impressive
displays for potential mates. Unfortunately for them, these very tail fins
make them easy to snag by any cats laying in wait. ]
[ Prakem are a strange looking creature worth 3 serving sizes. They have a
lot of meat on their body under a thick skin, and large fancy looking wings
that are actually worthless. They use them for fancy displays, and to make
themselves seem scarier against predators. However, their heads are lacking
any and all meat. They have blank, expressionless heads, and instead strike
with their tails. Their tail is usually kept shut, but it does open to be
revealed as their true "head". Prakem trick many young apprentices, but all
experienced mages know of their tricks by now, and know to stay as far away
from the tail as possible. ]
[ Joubim are a bird that can be classified as a serving size 3. They are
herbivores, and often approach the Denizens without any sense of fear. While
they're a type of prey, young cats with the ability to fly can be found learning
how to by copying the actions of the Joubi near the camp. ]

even the toughest of humans have soft spots for special creatures. they tend to their needs and give them love. these ancient humans once cared for and loved and protected these odd cats, little merrows. until one day a fool-hearted human tried to use the merrows for their powers. many of the merrows died because of the human's selfishness. to protect the last living few, the leader of these humans released the merrows into different parts of the wild outside of their territory, forcing them apart in order to protect them from others who would abuse their powers again.

the cats of glassmerrow live around the base of a large tree, one so large it even outgrew the clouds. the leader of glassmerrow chose this spot since it so closely resembled the tree they once lived around with their human masters before they were released into the wild. the large tree is mainly surrounded for a forest, and is only a couple hundred paw steps away from a lake. in glassmerrow, the leader is always a female, since its believed they have a stronger hold on their magic than males do. the successor is usually the oldest born female from the current leader's litters, however this may change if the current leader decides otherwise.

↳↳↳ albino fox-like creature with glowing orange eyes and elongated fangs. tilecos can live up to 10 years. female tilecos will live with their family until their 1 years old, then they'll leave to join another pack. their gestation period is 13 months. their litters have a minimum of 4 kits with a maximum of 6 kits. tilecos will hunt down and attack/kill glassmerrow cats. ↳↳↳ hyena-like creature in size, resembles an african wild dog in coloring. they have a skull-like overlay on their face. aneyhs can live up to 26 years. females are the leaders in the group and will choose their mates. if their chosen mate mates with another female, he is executed by the female. they have a gestation period of 3.5 months. their litters have a minimum of 1 cub and have a maximum of 3 cubs. aneyhs will attack and kill glassmerrow cats on sight [ high threat ] [ nature-aligned ]

Whispering Cove

Whispering Cove cats are often very shy and aloof to other cats though are never afraid to battle. They are slender and tall and are are very fast. Due to wetlands in there territory these cats have adapted and can comfortably run in muddy areas. They are usually quite secretive and have only a few close friends, there learn from one and other and will usually never fight with each other. Once every 5 moons a random member is secretly chosen and then closely watched for 5 moons. At the end, if that cat has been good will get ‘Magna’ added to there name which translates to ‘great’ in Latin. That part of there name will only be used formally for example, meeting a new cat or in ceremonies.

Territory:

half of the territory is a birch forest with little undergrowth while the other half is a very windy wetlands. There prey are: Vyoys (Large frog like things) , Cuapoos (winged voles), small-birds, shrews, Darokins (Speedy rabbits with a long body and short ears) and fish.

Ranks: normal

Predators: Zertas (water) (eel-like creatures that have very sharp teeth and swim in shallow waters), Luens (nature) (Rabbit sized hairless rats), Kuwapps (nature) (Black small cat shaped creatures with big fangs and no tail that live in burrows and come out at night)

honestly, she was never the biggest fan of fishing. it had nothing to do with the smell of the creatures of the water ruining her coat; she couldnt care less about those things. and actually she quite enjoyed the taste that the prey from the lake had. her only issue was that when she had to go after a qeader that was hiding at the bottom, buried in the sand ; then she had to dive under the water and completely soak her wings, causing her to lose her ability to fly for about an hour or so before they fully dried. that’s how she ended up where she was currently, laying on a flat rock along the lakes edge, with a brightly colored qeader limp at her paws. “thank you spirits for this prey. it’s life will not be wasted. it will nourish the cats and keep our fellowship strong.” as her eyes blinked open after her prayer, she came face to face with a handsome tom and his brilliant smirk before he leaned forward and pressed his forehead against her own. “still the same as ever, aren’t you Z?” his voice was so different, and yet so familiar at the same time; the last time she saw him, his voice was so soft and smooth that he could pass for a female, but now it was so deep, with a very masculine raspy quality to it that sent shivers down her spine.

quickly slipping to her feet, she shook out her pale pink wings before settling them on her back and leaning forward to gently lick his forehead. “Blue. It’s been what, fifteen moons since I last saw you? where have you been hiding hmm?” the tom let out a low chuckle, shaking his head a bit as he shrugged. “oh you know me, a little bit here and a tad bit over there.” but when the molly gave him a look yhat was slightly amused but also a bit annoyed, he chuckled again. “mainly down at the ocean, if I’m being honest. My guardian spirit took control of an actual swordfish host so we spent a lot of time swimming together. i met some many aquatic species that they would never meet in our freshwater lakes. but after awhile, I began to grow lonely; there were only so many conversations you could have with fish, you know? and then in a dream one night I saw your guardian spirit standing next to my guardian spirit, talking to one another; they both turned in sync and looked at me, and I just knew it was time to come home. so, where is everyone Z? can you introduce me to the new chief, put in a good word for me?” the tortoiseshell couldn’t help the soft laughter that shook her body, a pure rumbling in her throat. “you’ve already met her. chief zinnia; welcome home blue ribbon. I’ve been waiting for you to take your place on my council.”

valkyrie landed on the ground and whirled around, looking up in alarm at the retreating high queen. "wait, why are you leaving me here?" valkyrie mewed loudly, trotting after the red-haired girl. "did i do something wrong?" the dilute tortie raced in front of the human, her black wings flaring out and flapping in alarm.

the human sighed, looking around for a moment before kneeling down in front of the young she-cat, scratching her behind her ears. she began to spoke. even though valkyrie couldn't understand what she was saying, she knew the human was distressed. valkyrie wilted slightly and leaned into her owner's touch. a lot of her companions had died in the last few months, but she still had had her owner there to care for her. a little over a week ago, the leader of the humans had began to take the merrow cats out on their own and not returning with them. valkyrie guessed that this was what she had been doing.

valkyrie's pressed back against her head and her wings wilted in sadness as her high queen rose to her feet again, looking down at the odd cat one last time before turning and heading back towards what had once been valkyrie's home. she knew she would miss the sound of her pawsteps across the wooden docks as she raced to greet the ships that carried the humans across large bodies of water. she knew she would miss lounging next to large bonfires as the humans ate and sang and danced.

valkyrie retreated to the base of the large tree, curling up amongst its roots. most of all, she would miss being curled up between her high queen's kits.

❀ Spring ❀ | Ahh, the fresh breeze only carries hints of warmth, and the Fellowships no longer have to suffer the ill effects of Winter. Spring has brought renewal upon the lands, and bountiful prey. With sickness finally fizzling out, spirits are high as the days only get warmer and warmer.
