Alaric slowly unfurled himself from a curled-up position and groaned slightly. The library was already reaching stifling temperature due to the fact that it was already summer. He couldn’t take it, he wondered how almost all of his new fellowship members were all that joined in the past month and the newest one that came along as well. His ears flicked slightly as he rose onto his paws and made his way towards the stairwell. From the railing he could see that Azurite and the newest member of the fellowship, Koi were getting along swimmingly, has Etherealki would, even if she was a tidemaker someone who manipulated water to benefit or cause destruction to an aspect of war and domestic life.

Malachite was overlooking his herbs supply, his tail curled around his paws. Counting each of what little supplies he had now, double-checking that nothing went missing, and not a single cat was stealing from his supplies, for there would be hell to pay.

A single measly mouse was added into the stores, and well that was to expect at the moment. For now, they would look through the lands for prey, and hopefully, they would be an of the season’s riches. Jaws parting has he bounded downwards to be with the rest of them, reaching the very last step. He sat down curling his tail beside him, watching the mindless chatter of lower subjects.

“Betcha I can make a wave that overpass any you can make in a single bound!”

“Pfft, that’s cute.”

Koi was finding this one to be amusing at how hard she tried to sound big and tough at trying to impress and intimidate her. The calico listened with all the half intentions of just finding it too funny watching the Azurite try her hardest and probably fail for all she knew.

Alaric was listening for the most part, before he got up and walked over towards the two Etherealki’s, humor was clearly intent in his eyes, and he wasn’t really cheering for anyone. But he did like the sounds of a challenge, so there he went interested in the premise of a challenge.

“oh, a challenge?”

“Your grace!”

“Be at ease, has I been saying a challenge?”

“Just talk amongst your soldiers, your grace,” Koi spoke smoothly watching Alaric carefully, she did not trust this scaled feline has much has the next person, and she was probably correct on that regard. Alaric was mysterious has the sun rays themselves, no one knew much about this cat. Expect that he was the only one who was from the previous former group, that now haunt the walls, and his dreams when they decided to drive him absolutely insane.

“some talk, it sounded serious. What is the prize for this here challenge?” Alaric was making a difference here, he was trying to interact with his fellow members, he had seen what had happened in the past, where the royal family made very little interactions with everyone else, and it didn’t matter what happened, the royal family was slaughtered save himself.

Now even Malachite was interested in this discussion, the Corapralki rose onto his paws moving over towards the discussion of the word challenge. After all, he could make sure neither member drowned from this, besides the fellowship was still too small to have such a serious impact so early in the start.

“um, bragging rights?” Azurite shuffled her paws, uncertain if that was a good enough prize and her ears were slightly lowered in case, she was going to get scoffed at for it.

“Bragging rights sounds good enough for me. After all, who writes your story except for yourself, no?”

Agraz's green eyes bored into the darker green of Inferno's. "You are...certain, this poison is slow acting?"

Inferno nodded. "She'll be aware, possibly aware enough to fight you off, but it will kill her before the sun
rises." Inferno tilted his head, and hummed. "If you give it to her now, of course. If you wait until later
she would not die until sometime tomorrow morning."

Agraz nodded. "Good, fetch a mouse and lace it. I'm going to go check in on Cinder, I expect it to be
ready for Sybil to eat by the time I come back." Inferno bowed. "As you wish, my king."

A small smile fell onto Agraz's face as he padded into his den. It was large, the freedom of the pocket
dimension allowing him to be as elaborate in his den as he liked. There were several empty nests,
his own nest, and a nest currently sporting a wyvern-winged female.

Purring as he padded towards the orange tabby, Agraz stretched his own wings out, and stretched one
over Cinder's back. One of the perks of gaining Spirit powers, was that he could sense life. And a few
nights ago, he'd begun to sense life within Cinder. Oceana also had gained extra life floating around
her, which meant that the blood bond between the Servants and Obreothia would be formed in full
within just a few moons.

"I have some business to take care of tonight." Agraz murmered softly. "I need to speak with Amser,
to ask her to send another knight to us, since Oceana has moved to the nursery, and you've become
Blessed." he purred "Not to mention, you're expecting the heir of our fellowship." He paused, then
added "And, the kits have been weaned. You, are, aware of Sybil's...past, are you not?"

Cinder's purr rumbled up to meet him as he spoke, though she sighed when he had finished talking.
"Alright," she whispered "But hurry back, please."

Agraz smiled. "Of course." He stood to leave, but Cinder paused, sitting up. "Agraz," she said softly.

Agraz hummed, looking at her curiously.

"Don't...do it, in front of the kits." Cinder pleaded. "They're just children, and they don't need to be
scarred for life, even if they're too young to retain the memories. They'll keep the fear, even if they
don't remember why."

Agraz nodded. "I had planned on taking her outside anyways. The official story is to be that I was
asking her for advice on who should train her kits, based on who is available now, when she saw a
berry plant, and it reminded her of the food given to leashed slaves. She couldn't resist eating it,
if she tries to fight me back, I'll say it caused her to go insane, if not, she simply died instantly.
Whichever is the case, I'll have used my fire powers to burn the plant, and due to the late hour,
I buried her myself so as not to disturb her kits."

Cinder nodded, tail flicking softly. "Be safe," she murmured, reaching up to nuzzle Agraz again.

"I will be." Agraz replied, purring deeply.

"Hello Sybil," Agraz purred, setting the mouse on the floor of the nursery. "Have you time to eat and speak?"

Sybil lifted her head, squinting confused red eyes at him, before looking down at her kits.

"They'll be fine for the night," Agraz promised. "You've weaned them, they're growing up, they can handle
sleeping through the night without their mother at their side." he smiled at her, until the white and gray
spotted queen rose, gently licking each of her kits on the head.

Agraz lifted the mouse by its tail, careful to only grip it with his teeth. Nodding his head for Sybil to follow,
Agraz led the way to the crystal that would take them out of camp. Pouring a bit of Spirit magic into the
crystal, Agraz waited for Sybil to pad across into the real world, before following her, sealing the crystal
shut as he did so.

And when he returned, with blood dripping down his pelt. Agraz informed the fellowship that Sybil had gone
insane after eating some mysterious berries. He'd burnt the bush, and buried her body, so that the sickness
would not risk being spread to the entire fellowship.

The kittens would be cared for by Oceana, and Snapdragon promised to help. The kits would grow knowing
not that their mother had gone insane and had attacked Agraz, but simply that she had fallen ill and died.

Agraz couldn't help the smile that fell onto his face as he watched the three young kittens sob into Oceana's
soft belly fur. Don't worry little ones, one day, you'll come to thank me. If Sybil had continued to raise you,
the only things you'd have learned was how to be unworthy. Now, thanks to me, you will grow surrounded by
only the worthy. You will live fine, full lives, no longer chained down by your mother's past.

the territories are in full bloom during the hottest time of the year. prey is bountiful during
this time of the year, and herbs can be found in abundance. kittings will be handled smoothly,
and cats are still around who might be in need of a new home. however, predators are also
fond of the warm weather, and cats who overwork themselves may find themselves suffering
from dehydration and exhaustion.

Prey:
Fraylins- a small mouse like creature with a very long tail with a colorful fan on the tip. (2 servings)
Griers- huge rabbit-like creatures with manes of feathers, ram horns, and long tails. (3 servings)
Tslaises- plural=tslaisi. Long, mink-like creatures that are extremely fluffy and are usually brown or tan in color. (2 servings)
Hleffris- tiny ground birds similar to quails except for their tiny horns. Traditionally practice prey for Tads. (1 serving)
Kippits- tiny, squirrel-like creatures, with no tail and antlers. (1 serving)

Predators:
Harfynns- basically snowy owls with four legs, claws and long feathered tails.
Patras- like a cross between a large cat and a badger, with thick neck fur, no tail, long pointed ears and a long face.
Hawreeks- basically a hawk with two very long tails, and four wings.
Slynxes- like a fox, but they have two or three tails, and extra set of legs, and four eyes.
Jaukers- the ultimate predator. Long tufted ears, huge front arms, lots of fur, talons and no tail. One single, twisted horn coming out of its forehead.

Autumn, Leaffall ❧ The time of wind is here! The air has become chill, and the falling leaves crackle underpaw with a crispness only found in the autumn-time. Prey is starting to hide in their burrows, but last minute foraging leaves still some summer-dwellers out in the open to hunt. Predators, too, are hiding away, a thankful effect of the cooling. However, be careful, as the colder weather leaves the fellowships vulnerable to light illnesses. As the days shorten, kittings will also become riskier. Mothers best stay warm.

The Camp of Ruinfall
The camp is in an old abended town, with four little caves around them that is split via a river in the middle. The biggest of the caves is the Emperor's den, that they share with their family. The second-largest cave is for the senate meetings. On the other side of the water is the cave for the senate cats to sleep. The smallest cave is for the Priests to sleep and store their herbs in. The Officer, Legions and Cadets sleep in the ruins all over the place while the Mothers with her kits and the Ancients are allowed to sleep in the still working houses.

The Training Ground
A small place near the camp where the ground is sand. The soft ground, the small lake next to it and the trees around it make it a perfect place to train the Cadets and teach them everything they need to learn.

The Red Land
The sand in this place is hard and has an orange-red shimmer to it. The trees that are in this area are all dead. This land has just a small part in the Ruinfall territory but goes much farther beyond that.

The dry Mountain
Like the name already gives away this mountain is mostly dry and without any water. A river rises from a cave, but there is nothing else. Just hard stone and some sand from the Red Land. Only animals that can survive a longer period of time without food can live there so no cat has ever travelled through it.

The Needle Forest
A think forest mostly consisting of pine trees. A good hunting place for Celer-Caudas and Magna Colibri’s, but also a place where Dogs Umbra Wolfs and Rubins often roam around.

The Woodland
The woodlands are much lighter than the Needle Forest a perfect hunting place for Feli-Geckos, and Celer-Caudas, but Acidum Ants and Rubins life there too

The lonely Plain
No trees grow here, but many beautiful and colourful flowers. Plumos and Magna Colibri’s can be found here fervently and no predator really live here but cross this land to go somewhere else.

The Copper Hills
Two hills lay here with a tiny valley between them. It’s a quiet, but empty place. Not many animals come here so it’s a perfect place to withdrawal if someone needs to be alone.

Celer-Cauda (1Serving) – mice sized little hairy creature. Is looks similar to a rat with a long naked tail and a pointy face, but has little to no fur, but scales. The little patches of hair are mostly grey to white while the scales range from a darker shade of grey to black.
Dentauolo (2 Serving) – either red or yellow fish with teeth. They are big but flat with small eyes
Magna Colibri ( 2 servings) – A Colibri with more patterns and larger than normal ones.
Plumo (3 Servings) – A chicken-like creature with feathers on the head and its rump. Otherwise, it's naked. The feathers are either white, grey or black. These birds cannot fly and lay very colourful eggs.
Plumo eggs (1 Serving) – Colourful eggs with many patterns

Predator
(from easiest threat to most dangerous)
Acidum Ant – blue or violet coloured ants with a sting that is filled with an acid like poison
Rubins - red dog-like carnivores. They are about as big as cats with sharp teeth pointed faces and long tail.
Dogs – normal dogs mostly some that escaped their owner or were abandoned
Umbra Wolf – Grey or black wolfs, that are taller than normal ones with red glowing eyes and long fangs that stick out of their snout even when it’s closed
Odi Bears – look like normal bears but are much more aggressive and driven to attack and kill whatever comes in their way. The only thing that separates them from normal bears are the little mushrooms that grow over their back
Dragons – come in any size and form.

Coats
The cats of Ruinfall have mostly bright coloured pelts with many patterns. They love to compare to one another. While loving colourers, they also see scars as trophies and like to show them off, sometimes they even decorate themselves with feathers or pelts of prey or predators they defended.

Reputation
Others often think of them as self-centred and full of themselves, because they value beauty and pride so much. They are seen as strange for most of their tradition and mostly avoided from other cat groups.

Marcus had been an unexpected find. He'd run into Mira when they both tried to catch the same deer. The incident had ended up with a frustrated Mira dragging the tom, who was nearly twice her size, into the increasingly-developed camp where Amalric had solemnly pronounced that so long as Marcus caught more prey than he chased away, he'd be welcome. A few days later, the chocolate tabby admitted that he'd been looking for a new home for his family. Amalric had immediately understood what the other tom was asking him: permission to go back and find his family. Whoever remained, at least. Amalric had calmly denied the request and explained that since winter was coming, it would make little sense to go on a journey that would likely lead to heartbreak anyway. Might as well wait until the summer, when everything was going well and no one would go hungry. Amalric had to look away at that point. The pain in Marcus's electric-blue eyes was too much to bear.

Amalric himself had come across Rhea, finding the air elemental passed out on the beach. A siren had been near but she'd been young and the murderous look in Amalric's eyes had persuaded the nervous creature to head back to the safety of the ocean. Rhea had been carried by Amalric and Rowan, who'd tagged along as he'd been doing more often. The tortoiseshell molly came to halfway home, and it took some time before she'd calmed down enough to walk with them. Rhea's mission had been similar to Marcus's. But she had no family to return to.

"Are you sure about this?" hissed Mira to Amalric as the five sat around the campfire some days later. Marcus, as it turned out, had a fire primary. It made keeping them warm much easier.

"Yes," Amalric replied under his breath. "They deserve to know."

Marcus looked up, setting down the deer haunch and licking his chops. He was gigantic for a feline and close to big cat proportions. That mane didn't help appearances either. And he was the only one to prefer his animal form. Forms. "What are you whispering about?" he drawled.

Amalric looked at the chocolate tabby. His mouth opened. Then closed. Then opened. "Ehh-" he stuttered. "Um-I-well-"

"Out with it!"

"I'm a..." Amalric closed his eyes. By the stars, it was so hard to say. To out himself like this. Small comforts that he was already preparing to defend himself with the deer carcasses they had yet to dispose. "I'manecromancer." Rhea's dark skin turned pale with fear. Marcus simply shook out his mane and returned to his dinner. "I...thought it might be best to clear the air now," Amalric mumbled. Rowan lay himself on Amalric's knees, ginger hair tickling his skin. A brief glance down didn't help Amalric discern the boy's expression.

There was silence for a few moments and only the crackle of the fire broke through. Finally, someone spoke. That someone was Marcus. "So?" he asked.

"So!?" sputtered Rhea, suddenly scooting away from them, hands planting on the ground as though preparing to shift back to her feline form. "He's a- a menace, a danger! Irreverent! Heretical!" She spat those words at Amalric and although his face was blank, it hurt his heart. He'd been no stranger to them once upon a time. But Mira...

Marcus's tail and ears flicked in the equivalent of a shrug. "We've-" he swallowed- "got a defender here. Good for him, I say." He smiled, a somewhat gory sight. "I'll be sure to leave my food in better condition now."

Rhea choked and spluttered. The air seemed to still and Amalric tensed. Finally, the cool breeze returned and he relaxed. "There's no 'off,'" Rhea spat, [color=#9badb0]"but I don't want to see you. Necromancer." A moment later, she was a tortoiseshell feline, yellow crystals studding her body. Another few seconds and she was lost to the night.

Amalric realized that he'd been stroking Rowan's hair the entire time and quickly checked on the boy. He was asleep. Typical of the kid. He smiled tenderly and managed not to start when Mira's hand was placed on his. Well, at least Marcus didn't seem to care, right? He'd take his victories where he could.

Mira giggled as Amalric threw water into her face. She stopped it easily and sent it right back at him, enjoying his outraged meow in return. The sirens hadn't been around lately so Amalric had declared a beach day for the two of them. Rowan was left in the care of Marcus, who'd proved to be dependable and just as accepting as he'd been that night some weeks ago.

"Not fair!" called Amalric, surfacing and paddling towards her, star-studded fur winking at her. "I'm not sending crabs after you!"

Mira snorted. "You think reanimated crabs would scare me? I eat them for breakfast. I'll gladly eat the shells if that's what it takes." Amalric's look of pure disgust made her laugh. Loudly. When had she started really enjoying his presence? Was it when he had taken Rowan under his (metaphorical) wing without a second thought? Was it when he had insisted she try his stew, a new recipe that he'd invented himself? Was it when they started getting irritated at the occasional storm that interrupted their nightly ritual of eating by the campfire?

"Heyr lroork!" Amalric exclaimed, voice muffled by something he carried, "er srand-deller!"

Mira brightened and glided over, letting the water carry her to him. Was it when Rowan had told her one lazy morning that Amalric reminded him of dad? Maybe it was the way his eyes brightened at a spot of color or how gentle he was with something as inconsequential as the bones of their prey. He was never on guard when they were alone and Mira's heart ached when she saw how his face went from expressive to expressionless around Marcus and especially around Rhea, whenever those two had the misfortune to cross paths.

Amalric spat out the sand-dollar and Mira kept it bobbing in place. "Thought you'd like it," explained Amalric without really explaining anything. "It's so smooth," he marveled.

Mira nodded, whisker twitching in amused agreement. "Water has a tendency to do that. Wears things down until..." She waved a paw, seawater flying from her fur with the motion. "Waterfalls carve out canyons. The ocean creates sand. Even rain will wear down stone if given enough time."

"Like how you've worn me down," said Amalric softly, eyes fixed to the sand-dollar. "Softened me around the edges. Shaped me to...become better."

If the wars had roughed them up, taken away their innocence and instilled them with a set of prejudices and fears, then maybe this archipelago was healing them, the isolation allowing them to find whatever remained of their old selves and carve it into something better.

Mira loved Amalric and it was plain as day that he loved her. The wars had taken them away from their homes but it had allowed them to find each other. And as conflicted as Mira felt about it, she wanted to make the best of the situation. So she let the waters carry her to him. She nuzzled his cheek, hoping to convey all the feelings, strong and strange as they were. After a moment, he relaxed and began to purr.

"How deep is that puddle?"

"I bet that Elizabeth would sink into it."

"Honestly, I think you're right. How 'bout you try first? I want to see the difference."

"Sure, but I don't have rain shoes."

"I mean, we can try again tomo--oh my god. That barely reached your calf!"

"Your turn! You got me wet so it's only fair."

"Ookaayy..."

"Jesus that's deep. And you're not even in the middle of it!"

"Heh. I can dry it off easy enough."

"Why didn't you offer to do that for me??"

"Muahaha. Okay oh my god look at that look at that!! IT'S ALMOST INTO MY BOOT JESUS CHRIST!"

"You're short."

"Tell me something I didn't know. Brrr."

"I seriously hope that we won't have to do P.E. in this weather."

"If it's not raining, you know that they'll make us come out here."

"But I don't want to lie down on the wet ground."

"Elizabeth. You're complaining?!?"

"Yup."

POV: Flagranti
Flagranti stood outside of the nursery feeling overwhelmed with his emotions. He anxiously waited as his mate had his kits, he felt excited to meet them but was afraid that they might not all make it. “Flagranti you can come in now” Captiosus called from inside. The herbalist slowly padded out as Flagranti bursted in, leaving the two to the kits. “Three daughters and a son” Dulcis mewed looking down at her belly which had four tiny kits squirming around helplessly. “I- I love them” He replied as a warm feeling fell over him. “That one’s very fierce” Dulcis laughed as one of her kits fought its way through her three sibling. “Fierce” Flagranti murmured, “that’s it! we should call her fierce!” Dulcis smiled looking back down at the kit “That an excellent idea. Hello little Ferox”. Eventually Satis came in “Are you ready for their showing to the fellowship?” She asked poking her head in. Dulcis nodded and grabbed one by the scruff signalling for Flagranti to grab one too. They sat the kits down just outside before grabbing the other two. Satis leaped up onto the top of the leaders den which they used as a place to hold meetings. “All members of this fellowship before me, join me for a meeting!” She yowled. Once all the cats where in front of her she began. Flagranti sat with pride as he watched his mate join their leader, “Flagranti? You come too” Satis called. He felt embarrassed but padded up, leaving his kits alone.

As she congratulated them he kept looking back at his kits scared that a bird might take them but he was relived to see Captiosus bring them forward one at a time. Satis grabbed Ferox by the scruff and held her up above the crowd, “Ferox! Element: nature!” Dulcis and Flagranti called. The ceremony continued until all the kits had been shown.
