The tiny kitten had exploded into the clan...literally, a trail of fire dancing at the kitten's feet as he had
followed Winter, Draco, and Wasp back to the rest of the fellowship. Winter had seemed a bit...shocked,
but at the same time proud.

It had taken all of two minutes to learn that the kitten (Oreo) was Winter's son. Apparently, the winged
knight had enjoyed a night with a lone she-cat just before joining the fellowship, and Oreo was the
result. The she-cat had apparently been looking for him (and the rest of the fellowship) for a while,
but she'd gone in the wrong direction to look, it wasn't until now that they were moving through the
woods at Amser's order, headed for their new home, that Oreo had found them.

Now, the only problem was finding Cookie. Oreo's mother, who was probably worried out of her mind
for her son's life.

Winter hadn't seen Cookie in six moons, and he'd joined the servants only four moons ago. The same moon
that Oreo had been born, apparently. He and Cookie had bonded, but they'd separated, agreeing that since
Winter was looking for a large group, while Cookie preferred the life of a loner, it would be better for them to
part ways as friends.

But now though, with the birth of Oreo, Cookie had apparently been looking for him for the past two moons,
now that Oreo was old enough to survive without her milk, should anything happen to them. It made sense then,
as to why Winter hadn't seen any sign of her. The past two moons he had spent going near stir-crazy in the pocket
dimension the Servants had been trapped in.

But still...

He could hardly believe it, he, Winter, had a SON!

Oreo was such a darling little kitten, he had the explosive fiery nature of his mother, but instead of pushing that
energy into protectiveness, he just had the energy. Winter was sure he would direct it into something worthwhile,
after he grew up a bit. Oreo was just a kit for Amser's sake, he was allowed to have some fun!

Though it would be nice if that fun didn't come at moon-high...

Winter shook out his fur.

It wasn't only Oreo he was excited for, Sanvi had promised Oreo (and Winter) that she would pray for Amser to send
Oreo's mother their way. "I can't promise it will work," she had said. "I'm no leader, but it is worth a shot, and it IS
a kitten's mom we're talking about. I'm sure Amser will be agreeable."

Davin appeared in his Queen's den as she settled into her nest. "We have a problem." he said.
"What is it?"
"Aodhagán and Feranna are together. You know how. If she has kits, disposing of her like you said if going to be hard."
The blooming tabby leapt up, a snarl at her lips.
"Does she know? Does he know?"
"No, but this couldn't be more inconvenient."
"We have to end her soon."
"And if she is pregnant? Are you up to killing a mother?" Davin circled her, brushing their flanks together. His thorns pull gently at her flowers, brushing them out.
"Her children are not responsible for her insubordination. I will not end them. If she turns out to be pregnant, we will wait. We will discuss what to do after she has given birth. Now, we must rest and see what happens,"
Queen Maeve sat again, her tail folding over her paws. "Come here.." She requests. Davin smiled and pressed close to her side.
"I love you, my clever Queen."
"I love you, my sly King."

Aurelius sat on the roof of his den, tail tapping the ground as he waited for the Battalion to rise. First was Anemone, bouncing out of the Recruit's den with a gleam in her eyes, followed by Haemon, who exited their den quickly, shooting Aurelius an apologetic glance. Finally, Cassius padded out of the Infirmary, sharp teeth gleaming as he yawned. As the cats took their places in the courtyard, Aurelius shook his head.

"It's 20 ticks after sunrise." He said, disappointment ringing in his words. "Anemone, 4 laps. Haemon, 10 laps, Cassius, 11 laps. Our schedule keeps us alive, and our traditions keep our spirit alive. Not following them is a disgrace to our fallen."

Anemone bowed her head, the petals on her roses drooping slightly. Haemon dipped his head, then resumed his position, sitting up tall with his chin held up. Cassius shrugged and yawned again, copying Haemon's pose sleepily.

"Cassius," Aurelius snapped. "Rule 2."

"All cats must be up and in roll position by sunrise in order to have a productive day. Any cat late causes all cats in their rank to run laps, and the late cat runs 5 more laps than the others."

The dragonfly cat nodded. "Anemone, rule 1."

Anemon's flowers perked, the young molly looking panicked as she struggled to remember the rule. "The Battalion is a team. Rise together, work together, eat together, sleep together. Anyone breaking these rules dishonors the Battalion." She said meekly.

Again, the Commanding Officer nodded. "Haemon, rule 3."

Haemon cleared his throat before reciting, "All higher ranking cats are to be up before all others. They must meet 10 ticks before sunrise, and be ready to lead the day."

Aurelius slammed his paw to the roof. "If you know the rules so well, why are you breaking them? I expect better tomorrow."

"Yes, sir!" The three Battalion cats nodded, Cassius looking as uninterested as ever.

The current season is spring! The leaves are adorned with fresh dew and the sun beams gently onto the earth. Because the weather outside is so lovely, lots of cats are going out to enjoy it, and they might just need a new fellowship to settle down in. Births are going smoothly and the hunters are bringing back more food for the fellowship to enjoy. Go out and catch some butterflies!

↪ Shanie is washed up on shore and Rhea finds her. Rhea thinks that the other looks familiar and decides to take her home. When they get there, Mira and Rowan are overwhelmed by reuniting with their sister/mother. As things come spilling out, Mira admits that she's mates with Amalric, a necromancer. Caramel makes a joke about how he can "only raise measly bones" which leads to the reveal that she's a full necromancer. Rhea feels extremely betrayed that her friend turned out to be like this and leaves the happy reunion to think on her own. (Rhea POV)

↪ Shanie is surprised at how things have changed in the meantime. Rowan views Amalric as an uncle/father substitute and although he's happy to have his mommy back, he's become much more independent in the years that they've been separated. She tells the rest of the group that although the fighting has mostly died down, that's because most territories have been conquered and few can muster the power to fight back. She expects there to be more refugees and doubts that they'll ever go back. (Shanie POV)

She eventually comes to the conclusion that Caramel was justified and it takes some more thinking to swallow the notion that maybe not all necromancers are bad. Nýchta guided Malachítis through the small waterfall to find Ntália and Fidísios wrestling in the center of the cave as Iméra looked on with thinly-veiled enthusiasm. Ntália yelped in pain and jumped back, and Fidísios grinned triumphantly as small flames danced across his pelt.

"Fídi! No fair," she shouted, slouching down to lick her lightly burned pads. Fidísios' smile faded as he saw his sister wince in pain, and quickly melted into a look of guilt and regret.

"I think we should hold off on using elemental magic until you've been properly trained," Iméra warned the mathités. Only then did he notice the brown tabby with an emerald aura who had accompanied the Vasílissa into the cave. He approached the two cats and mewed to Nýchta a soft greeting. Iméra went to lick Nýchta's ear, but she pulled away, giving him a frown that wasn't as subtle as she hoped. "I'm sorry, dear," he murmured. Adelfótita ton Asterión had clearly conveyed to the leaders that they were to be mates. Iméra was eager to abide by the stars' ruling, but Nýchta seemed less than willing.

"Stop that," the Vasílissa muttered under her breath. Malachítis' eyes darted between the monarchs, unable to conceal his curiosity. Nýchta cleared her throat, effectively capturing the mathités' attention and silencing Iméra. "This is Malachítis," she announced. The young mágos nodded his head to the other cats. "He will be joining Adelfótita as a mágos."

"Welcome to the vounón," Iméra greeted.

"Thank you," Malachítis replied with a bright smile. "It's good to be here."

Fidísios approached his sister with his head hanging low. "Sorry for burning you," he said softly.

"Whatever, Fídi. I wish I had Fotiá powers," Ntália pouted. "Aéras is useless."

"Only if you don't know how to use it," Nýchta interrupted as she pulled away from Iméra. "Aéras is my native element." She smiled in reminiscence, thinking fondly of her youth, which, admittedly, was not long ago.

"But what can you even do with air powers, other than make wind blow around?" Ntália protested.

"The real question," Nýchta purred as her eyes shone mystically, "is what can't you do." Ntália shivered, wide-eyed, as a cool breeze ruffled her fur. "Follow me. I think you're ready for your first lesson," the Vasílissa mewed. Ntália flashed an excited glance at Fidísios, who suddenly felt a pang of envy at the attention his sister was receiving. He watched Ntália follow Nýchta through the waterfall with a sour expression before turning to his own mentor.

"Can we go training too?" Fídi asked Iméra.

The scarlet tabby tried to ignore his frustration at Nýchta's refusal to reciprocate his affection and smiled thinly at the mathitís. "Sure. You should get your abilities under control before you set the whole mountain on fire." And with that, the two toms left as well, leaving the caves empty save for Malachítis and the glow worms.

"I guess I should make myself useful," he said to himself, lingering a moment before leaping through the waterfall and into the forest.
