Lotusstar smiled at her mate, and rubbed her cheek against his. "It's alright, we can always try again." she purred softly
Spiraldapple smiled at her, running his tongue along the top of her head. Lotusstar laughed, pulling back, eyes shining
as she looked up at the taller cat. "Come on, it's time for Hurricanepaw's warrior ceremony, maybe after that, you
and I can go and take a walk through the woods."

Spiraldapple purred, and nodded his head. He smiled as he glanced across the camp toward his son. Ever since they had
arrived, Hurricanepaw had worked hard to train, and Spiraldapple was proud to be the one who had taught his son.
Hurricanepaw had definitely earned whatever name Lotusstar had chosen for him. He glanced at his mate, tilting
his head slightly. Lotusstar smiled, and said "Don't worry, it's a good one."

"Alright, but beeeees." Sakuragaze grumbled, her voice coming out slightly muffled as the dandelion paste was
applied over her muzzle. "Why do they exist? What do they do?"

Cherrydroplet sighed "They help grow plants, the fact that you found some, even if they did sting you, is good.
It means the forest is healing. The bees help the plants spread out and grow, which means come next green-leaf,
we should have more flowers. More plants in general really. And some cats are attracted to pretty territories,
so it all works out in our favor."

"Not my favor." Sakuragaze grumbled. Cherrydroplet sighed, shaking her head. "Well your misfortune gives me a chance
to use these dandelions, before they wilt. So close your eyes and muzzle so I can get some more on there."

Weather: The skies are starting to darken even more and the snow is starting to pile up. The wind is biting your cats in this cold and sickness will be on the rise here shortly. Most prey have burrowed away and herbs are starting to freeze. Predators are out, looking for what they can. Guard your camp more than anything, keep your cats warm as the storm approaches.

As you all have may noticed CaC has its very own lineart! The lines were created by the very talented Grey_Hoodie and are being colored in by various other mods, mini mods and the CaC artists. Allowing us to use the lineart for your cats lets us give more unique patterns as we are limited to free to use pictures. If you want your cats to be transferred onto the lineart all you have to do is get in contact with a mod and the team will take care of it.

I have also noticed that a lot of you have not been adding pebbles correctly. Remember, every post you make you get five pebbles automatically. Patrols will sometimes bring back extra pebbles they find as well! Pebbles can be used here at the cac store anytime!

Nightstar's POV:
Nightstar watched Leopardstrike closely, Vixenleap and he were chatting about clan life and seemed very close.

Leopardstrike was a large-eared tom she and Tanglepaw had come across while training, Tanglepaw didn't learn much last moon, not even the most important skill. Vixenleap and Leopardstrike seemed to get along really well together, Nightstar felt happy for them.

Smokekit's POV:
A hungry, grey fox was approaching the nursery. Turtlestar was standing next to Smokefire, hissing. "Grr, I'll get the kits!" The fox growled. "Kit, you mean!" Called Midnightkit from inside the nursery. "You can't talk!" Hissed the medicine cat, Firepelt. "No way are you getting the kits daddy- fox!" She growled playfully. Suddenly, Hollybounce- the deputy of Turtleclan- leaped in the way. "You mean, hungry fox! Go away, unless you want a slashed muzzle!" Turtlestar crept closer. "Yeah, fox!" "Oh no! I'm surrounded!" The fox tucked it's tail between it's legs and ran away.

"Alright, kits, playtime is over, back to the nursery you two!" Mewed her mother, turning back to Firekit and Smokekit. "Midnightkit!" Mewed Firekit, running into the nursery. "Smokekit, you too." "Aw.." She mewed walking slowly back into the nursery. Her dad poked his head inside, a leaf on his head. "Daddy!" Laughed Smokekit. "You've got a leaf on your head!" He looked confused for a moment, lifting a paw up to his head, a leaf fell to his paws. "Oh." He giggled. Smokekit's mother came back inside, curling around her kits. "When you're three moons old you'll get big cat food!" She mewed, placing down a robin.

Dark-pelted cats are common, lighter-pelts are more rare and hardly accepted as rogues/loners/kittypets
Palemoon is more of a hunting cat so if he is sent on a border patrol without other cats feel free to give him a higher chance to get hurt but don't kill him.
Nightstar is more of a fighter, she doesn't really hunt so feel free to have her not catch anything while on a hunting patrol
Don't kill high ranks unless It says to do so here.
Herbs grown in a forest territory are commonly found. Herbs found in a wide open space can only be found in camp. other herbs will be much harder to find. There are a few streams running through the territory so smaller water herbs can be found.

littlestar sat at the mooncliff, as he often did since he'd received his lives. he was often alone. but often doesn't mean always.
the slight sound of intermittent footsteps among the sound of crashing waves and distant bird calls. the sound of footsteps wasn't unusual, there were plenty of cats on the island. but what was unusual was the source of the sound stopping and sitting down next to him.
"nice night, huh? i always love it when the moon looks like that, reminds me of a claw." the stranger flicked his fluffy orange tail toward the moon.
“yeah, i’m a fan of the moon too. my favorite are full moons, though.”
the stranger shrugged.
“say, do you think you could help me with something?”
“sure, what’s up?”
littlestar explained to the stranger what a clan was and how he needed cats to join it.
“huh. kinda sounds like a cult, but i’m interested. how’d you come up with this?”
“oh, i was sent visions and a message from the moon and i received nine lives. also it’s not a cult!”
“i dunno, sounds pretty cult-y to me. do i get nine lives if i join?”
“no, only the leader does. but i could make you my deputy. that means you’d be next in line to be leader after i die.”
“wait, like, after you die the first time, or-“
littlestar sighed and shook his head. "look, if you're not going to take this seriously, i can-"
"nonono im sorry i'll be serious! i- i wanna join your clan."
littlestar muttered to himself, "at this point, i'll take what i can get." he looked up at the stranger. "sure, you're in. welcome to the clan, erm- what's your name?"
"ember."
"well you'll need a new name now that you're a clan cat. ember... talon? emberstrike? no. how about.... emberglow!"
"oooo, fun. i love it! thank you littlestar!"
littlestar stood up and flicked his tail, indicating for emberglow to follow him. "c'mon. let's head to camp."
"ok but uh... where is camp exactly?"
"hm. well, it's, um-" littlestar looked around frantically. "i don't know. i haven't exactly decided yet."
"well that's ok. how about we just stay at that little cliff where we met for now? it's a pretty nice place."
littlestar nodded. "sure. at least for now."

littlestar was out on a lone patrol, trying to get a break from emberglow. he was great, but he was very bubbly and chatty, and sometimes that was too much for littlestar. as he was soaking in his alone time, barely paying attention to where he was going, he bumped into another cat.
"oh, im sorry! i should have been paying to where i was going." littestar said quickly.
"it's alright." the cat began to walk away.
"no! wait! don't go yet! i- er- would you like to join my clan?"
the cat quirked an eyebrow. "your what?"
littlestar quickly explained. the cat tilted his head and tried to look interested but had a clearly concerned expression.
"uhh, im not sure. can i think about it? i'm kind of busy, i-" he started turn away.
"please." littlestar begged, his voice dripping with desperation. "i only have one other clanmate, and it's still leafbare. i need all the help i can get. i-" he noticed the cat's eyebrows raising in concern. "you don't believe me, do you?" he whispered solemnly. "you don't believe that i communed with the moon and received nine lives? well i can prove it. i'll prove it right now. i'll-"
"ok i'll join!" the cat said quickly. "but only because i'm concerned for you. i don't want you doing anything rash."
littlestar opened his mouth to argue, but realized he really had to take whatever he could get. he flicked his tail, signifying for the cat to follow him. "our temporary camp is this way. what's your name?"
"soot."
"well now it'll be... sootstone."
"hm, not bad. but do i have to have a name like that?"
"if you want to be in the clan, then yes."
sootstone sighed, but didn't protest.

"ooh, a new cat! hi there!" emberglow greeted excitedly as the two cats approached.
"hello, im... sootstone." he hesitated to say his new name.
"i'm emberglow!" emberglow replied, puffing out his chest. sootstone rolled his eyes slightly but sat down next to him.
as littlestar walked off into the forest, sootstone leaned over to emberglow. "so, he's totally insane, right?"
"uh, totally and insanely cute." emberglow replied, giggling.
sootstone heaved a large sigh and muttered, "i'm surrounded by fishbrains."

Season: Leaf-Bare
Weather: The skies are dark, the days are windy, bitter and cold. No cat can see a whisker length in front of their nose as the blizzard storms down onto the territories. Not even predators will be out during this time as anything can get lost and turned around in this storm. It is best to stay in camp and keep eachother warm, but even then sickness happens.

Warning: In the next few replies a blizzard will happen among the territories. Clans with twenty or less cats will be saved by Starclan(me). This is meant to create some hardships for the bigger clans, and don't worry it won't last too long.

As you all have may noticed CaC has its very own lineart! The lines were created by the very talented Grey_Hoodie and are being colored in by various other mods, mini mods and the CaC artists. Allowing us to use the lineart for your cats lets us give more unique patterns as we are limited to free to use pictures. If you want your cats to be transferred onto the lineart all you have to do is get in contact with a mod and the team will take care of it.

I have also noticed that a lot of you have not been adding pebbles correctly. Remember, every post you make you get five pebbles automatically. Patrols will sometimes bring back extra pebbles they find as well! Pebbles can be used here at the cac store anytime!

"Daddy, why don't you like Applesta'?" asked Owlkit, copper eyes looking into Swancloud's mismatched ones. "You a'ways have a wei'd look on yaw' face when you see him."

It was bound to happen eventually, and it certainly dimmed the mood. But he had to tell his kits the truth. "That's because I've never thought he made a good leader," Swancloud said lightly. "I didn't think Honeystar was very good, either."

"Why?" This was Frogkit, whose wide yellow eyes were even wider. Swancloud curled around and brushed a paw against the spotted tabby kit's head.

"She didn't make very good decisions," Swancloud said heavily, "and that meant that certain cats in the clan...died." Well, they were bound to know about death sometime, right? "There was an older tom in the clan, Oakheart, who saw the truth. Everyone else loved Honeystar but he understood that she wasn't the best leader that Forestclan could have. He tried to get her to retire and let a better leader take her place, but she...got rid of him for speaking out."

"Oh," said Frogkit.

"But whatabout Applesta'?" Owlkit persisted. "Is he okay? I like him."

Swancloud snorted mentally. At least his kits weren't worshiping Honeystar or Applestar. "He's okay," he said. "As long as we have peace, I don't mind him." Too much. Oakheart would have been better.

"Okay." Owlkit was happy now, and settled back into the warmth and comfort of her father. Swancloud smiled and looked up. No clouds in the bright sky. A good day.

Silverstorm's scent had changed. It smelled more like milk and comfort and warmth. Hareclaw hadn't wanted to mention it to her just in case the cause had simply been an increased amount of time spent in the nursery (but what for, he didn't know), so she had brought it up to him.

"I want to go talk to the medicine cats," she said one day as they were eating from the freshkill pile.

"Why?" Hareclaw asked. It was the polite thing to say, even when both of them suspected they knew what was happening. If it turned out to be true... Hareclaw would be ecstatic.

Silverstorm ducked her head and her ears flattened against her head. "...just in case."

Hareclaw's tail twitched in noncommittal agreement. "Right now?"

"Yeah."

It was odd, Hareclaw mused as the two walked to the medicine cats'den, how touchy they both were regarding kits. Having experienced the death of most of one's family really out things into perspective. Even when your cousin was still alive. It's just that he and Tipnose weren't very close. Come to think of it, Silverstorm and Larknose were littermates but they had pulled away after their apprenticeships took very different paths.

"Anyone in-- Oh, Larknose!" exclaimed Silverstorm. Her tail curled with happiness. "I was...ahh..." Her ears flicked back and Hareclaw's whiskers twitched with an emotion.

Larknose emerged from the den, his dusty-brown fur somehow darkening in the sun. He brightened upon seeing his sister and the two rubbed cheeks, purring for a moment. Hareclaw felt a flash of jealousy and wondered briefly what things would have been like had Carpfang, his own sister, still lived.

Larknose and Silverstorm exchanged a few muttered words before the tom turned to Hareclaw. "Hareclaw..." Larknose said, drawing out the name, "...you're going to be a father."

A grin spread across Hareclaw's muzzle and he let out a strangled mew of excitement. "A father?!" he asked. "For real?!?"

"Yup! Check back with me in a moon to make sure that Silvy's doing well. And you should tell Boulderpelt," Larknose said, whirling around to face his sister, "so that she puts you on the lighter-duty patrols."

Hareclaw snorted as he watched Silverstorm mouth along with Larknose, clearly making fun of him. "Yeah yeah yeah," she said. "I will. Don't worry 'bout me, Larks."

Loonleaf heard Quailpaw coming into her den and leaped to her feet. She turned around and cocked her head when she saw the way that the small brown spotted tabby dragged his tail. "Hey kit," she said softly, walking up to him. "What's wrong?"

The small apprentice sat down and started to sob. "I'm so behind," he said, sniffling. "Snow and Lizzy are way ahead of me. I want to graduate on time."

Loonleaf's gaze softened and she huddled against Quailpaw. "It's gonna be okay, kit," she said quietly. "Ya'know what? Maybe it's Starclan's way of saying that ya gotta take it easy and learn more thoroughly."

"But I was sick for a moon," emphasized Quailpaw. "How's that a good message from Starclan?"

"Well, if ya overwork yourself, ya get sick," Loonleaf said patiently. "And imagine training when ya're sick. Is that fun?" Quailpaw shook his head. "Exactly. So ya gotta take it easy. 'Sides, f'ya stay back a lil', ya'll be bettr than ya're littrmates when ya gradate." She smiled and nudged the small tom. "Ya'know wha?"

"What?"

"F'ya got anyone buggin' ya because you need to study a lil' longer, send'em ta me. I'll set'em right."

Quailpaw finally smiled, a fragile expression. "Really? You will?"

"Aw yeah. I might be a medcine cat but I ain't no slouch when fightin' rr sparrin' verbly. And," she added, "I'll be here ta talk ta ya if you need."

"Okay." Quailpaw was purring now and that little purr made Loonleaf's heart swell. He was a good kit, and would do just fine in his training. He just needed a little more confidence. And she meant it; if anyone made fun of him, they'd be regretting it very soon.
