"Icenose...." Rogerfang said, gesturing to the camp. He stood side by side with the she-cat and the two trainees they had saved. The camp was covered with snow. A large tree had fallen, and Rogerfang, usually gruff and fierce was shocked. "I know." Icenose murmured. "I know."

The four remaining StemClan cats unburied all their clanmates from the snow, giving the trainees and kits warrior names. They then rested a night before burying them all, together.

i wrote about 1000 words and then decided i didn't like it, so here's a good summary of some of what i wrote;

honeydew is going to check on her kits in the apprentice den. she passes by poppysong who is coming back from making sure mallardpaw is warm enough, because the snow is so thick and heavy. they wonder about when the first snow release will begin.

a snow release is when all the cats are safely put in their den, and two senior warriors go up and set off an avalanche to release the snow so no surprise avalanches happen & everyone is prepared and safe.

well unfortunately for them whitherstar forgot about this simple thing of being a leader and hasn't set one out yet. honeydew races into the med cat den when she see's one coming, and mentions to the newest med cat, prickleblink, that she should have payed more attention at the last clan meeting.

he pauses then yells to badgerheart. badgerheart comes out of the back and then says she had no idea about the avalanche. then honeydew goes 'oh no. this is an actual one. & the last hunting patrol of the day was just sent out!' and then they all get upset & wisteriapaw tries to calm down honeydew & gives her a poppyseed to sleep. she does.

when she wakes up she learns that the entire patrol has passed away in the avalanche. she cries. avocado then tells her that bronzegaze, honeydew's own kit named her first born avalanche, or well offered a name up. honeydew was so happy with that & proud of her son despite the sadness.

the clan grieves for the six warriors lost in the avalanche. pinpoint the forgotten warrior. seabird the founding mother of the clan. yewrunner, the salty, but somehow sweet mother of three strong warriors. stumpfall, the handsome loner boy that nobody really knew. rockshade, a good warrior and a good heart. condorwing, the warrior who was almost able to erase his past and the name he came from.

↪ After ThymeTail gives birth, rouges invade camp! The rouges are lead by TalonStorm. The HurricaneClan cats are chased out, they take shelter in the valley but plan their attack to get their camp back. ThymeTail is heart broken to find out that his mate had lead the rouge attack.

"Nour," said Isidora carefully as she lay next to her partner in the weak leafbare sun. She had been mulling over her feelings for the past few days, and had finally decided on a course. It was unexpected, perhaps, but the tom was a good father and good partner. Perhaps it was time to make things official.

Nour turned to her, a questioning look evident on his face.

"I..." Isidora sighed. Was this really the best time? Was this really the best decision? Yes. "I would like to consider you my mate. Not partner--but mate."

Nour blinked in surprise. "R-really? Me?"

"You've been a good partner. A good father. And your kits really need a mother-figure in their life," she said calmly. "I assume things wouldn't change much between us?"

Nour exhaled softly. "No, this wouldn't. I guess it just makes it official, then." He looked Isidora in the eyes. "I'm...honored that you're giving me this chance."

Isidora's muzzle curved into an amused smile. "You asked me to be your partner all those moons ago. I'm simply taking it to the logical conclusion."

Nour joined her smile. "I guess you are."

"Hey, don't look so scared!" said Newtpaw to her sister, Whimbrelpaw. "Mistfur won't ever let you get hurt in a spar, if that's what you're worried about."

Whimbrelpaw's tail flicked back and forth quickly. "I just...don't know," she mumbled. "H-how to feel about all this. Why would Nour abandon me like that? Why did he take you and leave me behind?" Her voice got louder at the end, vocalizing her frustration and resentment.

Newtpaw's eyes darkened. She too, wondered how they had been chosen. Nour had "assured" them that it had been random, but how were they ever to know? "Hey," she said soothingly, "it's going to be alright. Daddy's here now. We're here now. For you."

Whimbrelpaw looked as though she were about to say something more but instead broke down into quiet sobs and leaned on Newtpaw's shoulder. Though stunned for a moment, Newtpaw quickly regained her composure and laid her jaw on Whimbrelpaw's head in a comforting gesture. How could they ever forgive what Nour, their father, had done to them? How could they not forgive him? How could they keep such a secret? How could they not?

Tipnose said goodbye to Brightfang in the middle of the night. Dustleaf and Larknose were asleep, and her brother was tossing and turning in his feverish state. Somehow, Tipnose just knew that he was lost. The medicine cats could try as hard as they could but it wouldn't help. Nothing ever did. It was time to let go. Embrace the future and avoid getting stuck in the past.

She would admit to Scorchpelt that she liked him. She would live for her siblings. Be the mother and mate that Bramblingwhisker had always wanted to be, that Snowfoot and Dawnstorm were for each other. She would mourn her family quietly but remember that Hareclaw still lived. That her best friend Kestrelclaw still lived.

Yes, Tipnose would let go of Brightfang. But she would see him again in the afterlife. And that was a comfort that could warm her at night.

The cats of the fledgeling Meadowclan lounged amongst the straw bales, the air of the barn warmed by the breath of the nearby livestock. After the past few moons, they had all become a lot more comfortable with their interspecies roommates, cat and sheep alike. They found themselves getting less worried about the farm workers tending the sheep. The workers didn't seem to notice the cats most of the time, and wouldn't try to chase them if they did.
The clan had been growing closer to each other as well, and all of them had been getting anxious about Dawnflower's incoming kitting. Nettleleaf had been hovering around her almost constantly, she had been hardly moving from her nest, and the other cats had been making sure she got her choice of food. Smokewhisker had been hunting nearly nonstop and Mousestar had been alternating between joining him and making sure that the barn was safe from other cats and predators.

"do you know what happened?" réalta asked sniffing cait over. they had to figure out how she lost her first life. "all i remember is a figure smirking and muttering something before everything went red." cait tried to re-call what had happened that night. réalta nodded before straightening up.

"was it a cat?" réalta meowed, looking at cait's neck, despite the cleaning cait had done to her fur when she got back to her senses, her fur was slightly stained and still reeked from the blood. cait thought for a few moments before slowly nodding, réalta could tell her leader was desperately trying to remember the events that occurred.

"i can't remember who it was. i don't know if it is a rogue or a clan cat." cait huffed, she was annoyed at herself for not remembering. "i need to rest, i'm sorry réalta." cait sighed, dipping her head to the medicine cat before turning away.

"cait. i knew you would be here at this time." ghrian purred, padding up to her. she was in her usual spot, sitting at the top of the mountain gazing at the moon. cait almost jumped back in surprise. "do you need anything?" cait asked, trying to hide how flustered she was.

"i just wanted to talk." ghrian dipped his head, sitting down beside her. His light blue eyes fixated on the moon. cait didn't look away from him. she got lost in her thoughts as she imagined having a mate. he turned towards her, giving her cheek a quick lick which brought her back to reality. staring in slight confusion at him as he purred in amusement. "ever since i joined your clan i can't stop thinking about you. i've finally realized what it all meant and what i want." he meowed, cait could the uncertainty in his eyes but he seemed determined to say what he had to say.

"cait. will you be my mate?" he asked, his voice lowered as he fiddled with his paws, obviously nervous at what she was going to say. "of course ghrian." cait purred, she was sure of her words but felt slightly uneasy when she meowed the words. she could faintly make out what sounded like a voice saying, 'watch him'.

ádh paced around the waterfall, her pace quickened as her frustration grew. "come on starclan, i can't let robinclan die before my eyes. tell me what to do!" she hissed under her breathe, she had been sneaking out every night to the waterfall to ask for advice and every night it was the same. she got nothing. she sighed, kicking a pebble into the water. how was she meant to just let lasair dangerously train her clanmates and then bring them to people against their own clanmates and kin? where did this hate come from? she looked up at the sky, the beautiful sunset colours coloured the sky. she needed to go back to camp before réalta could notice she was gone but she couldn't, how could she go back to her nest and not worry about the clan's future?

even though she knew réalta or rós were more likely to get signs from starclan, she needed that closure of having starclan by her side and telling her what she can do to save the clan's future. had starclan abandoned them? or have they never even existed? now that ádh thought about it she had never received any signs from starclan and even during this time of need she got nothing, had starclan been a way too believed elders' tale? ádh stared at the water, it was going quicker than usual and felt extremely cold, with ice starting to form in some spots. was starclan pathetic enough to let their own waterfall freeze?

ádh turned away, lashing her tail at the water behind her before padding off in the direction of camp. not long into the small trek home, she felt something wet and cold touch her nose, she shook her muzzle before looking up. snow was falling. she had never seen snow, neither had her own mother. she knew of it from fíochmhar who told tales of how it used to fall every leafbare but she and her siblings always thought it was just tales except for ciaróg. ciaróg would have loved the snow. he never liked the warmth and the sun in his time alive, he always preferred when it was cold. the snow started to fall quicker which was a sign for her to go back to camp quicker.

Venomstar's leaf green eyes narrowed as he watched Goldenglare half jump away from the Regent's cave, where Scale of Snow was slithering out. The orange and white tomcat still hadn't quite gotten used to living with the she-snake, and Venomstar had half a mind to keep him in camp to guard the Regent. He very well would have, if there were more than two other cats in the clan. He'd taken the bite, of course, like Petalmist and Venomstar himself had, but after that had taken to treating Scale of Snow like she was infected with the plague.

"Goldenglare," Petalmist called suddenly, causing Venomstar's focus to switch on to the gray tabby. "Would you like to go hunting with me?" She quickly turned towards Venomstar "If you don't mind, that is." Venomstar nodded, and replied "That's fine, but be back by sun-high. I need to make it to the moonpool by midnight."
