xxxa crystallizing cold wind buffeted the silver cats fur ,, sending a frigid shiver through her body. beside her stood a cat that she couldn't stand ,, green spinel ,, and one of the newest marquise cuts ,, coral. stuck with two ignorant tom cats ,, she secretly thought ,, visibly rolling her eyes. but this was the patrol that white diamond had assigned to her. it seemed that wherever she went white diamond shoved green spinel into her patrol. did he think that she would be a good influence on him? thus far the answer proved to be a no ,, though ,, it was hard to tell anything with the silent brooding tom who only ever lashed out in annoyance at other cats who tried to interact with him.
xxxare we going to go or what? and there was that voice amber wasn't sure she loathed or pitied. i already can't feel my paws in this cold. green spinel grumbled ,, eyes flicking over toward amber.
xxxyou're very impatient ,, do you know that? she turned her head to look at him ,, quickly causing him to look away.
xxxi'm just saying. coral here looks frozen already. green spinel rebutted ,, and when amber looked to coral he indeed did look quite cold.
xxxoh n-no. it's f-fine. i'm fine. t-t-take as much time as you need. one may think that coral was actually cold ,, but in reality he only had a stutter ,, but also ,, he was very cold. bobbing her head to the left amber started down the side of moonstone mountain ,, green spinel trailer after her mumbling finally and coral stumbling along behind ,, unable to feel his toes. this time of year was rough ,, making ones way around the mountain was rough. with snow covering every safe path it was hard to tell where ones paws were landing ,, thus it was unknown where was safe to step and where was the edge of a cliff. at one point as the trio was making their way down the mountainside coral fell forward into the snow ,, due to not being able to feel his paws ,, and he almost fell off the side of moonstone mountain. thankfully green spinel was able to grab onto the other cat before he fell. once safely on the ground the trio marched off into the woods. with snow piling high ,, and pretty much blizzard closing in ,, the scent of prey was scarce ,, almost nonexistent.
xxxthere's nothing here ,, complained green spinel ,, pawing at the snow before him. darting a smug look to green spinel ,, amber started forward. what are you doing? we should just head back. the tom ,, though ,, watched with curios eyes as amber started to dig at the snow by the base of a tree. coral swayed from side to side ,, trying to regain feeling in his legs as he too watched amber with a tilt of his head. in no time flat amber had dug out the snow from around the tree base until the dirt was showing in a decent sized circle ,, revealing what seemed to be a small entrance to a den. and in fear of being found a mouse ran from the den unknowingly right into a trap. pikcing up her catch amber trotted over to green spine ,, dropping the mouse at his paws.
xxxnow tell me again that there's no prey around ,, amber complacently said ,, a triumphed look on her face. green spinel said nothing ,, actually quite amazed by amber. he should've realized that prey had burrows all around ,, he just needed to look for them. with no smug comment green just muttered whatever. why don't you two go off and try it for yourselves! amber then turned and started off on her own hunt. green spinel also darted off ,, leaving a frozen coral all alone and confused.

awkward. that's all that needed to be said about the patrol. it was awkward. neither cats knew each other too well ,, or at all really ,, so for almost half of the patrol it was filled with uncomfortable silence and unpleasant eye contact at random moments. so ,, tigers eye finally spoke up ,, not saying anything afterward.
xxxso ,, larksong repeated after him ,, whiskers twitching as she glanced to her clan mate. the tom nodded.
xxxthis weather. isn't it ... cold. like i said ,, this was an awkward patrol.
xxxyes ,, it is very cold. larksong wasn't too fond of small talk ,, it could be a bit tedious. but now she found herself stuck in the tediousness of small talk. this dissatisfied the she cat ,, causing her to think up a more detailed reply other than yes ,, it is very cold.. before i was ever part of any clan i endured a harsh winter much like this ,, she started ,, eyes flicking toward tigers eye before returning her gaze forward. it was quite cold one leaf bare ,, colder than usual. i had only been a few moons old when i witnessed my first snowfall. at first i believed it to spectacular. a brilliant display of something that i had never seen before. my parents let me go out and play just outside of the den ,, my mother keeping careful watch of her only kit. i bounded through the snow like a rabbit ,, digging myself tunnels like a mouse ,, and eating the stuff as if my life depended on it. by now tigers eye was staring at her ,, his pace slowing somewhat as he listened to her speak. larksong kept her gaze ahead of her. i'm not really sure what happened ,, if i traveled to far or if i just managed to get out of my parents sight ,, but soon enough i found myself lost in the middle of a now terrifying blizzard. the cold struck me like ice shards. leaf bare was no longer as dazzling as i believed it to be. i now found it barren and isolated ,, frightening is close to the right word. larksong shook her head as she recalled the memory. it felt like a lifetime as i wandered in the snow. very quickly i lost feeling in my paws then my legs. i soon found myself as a heap on the ground ,, curling up in the piling snow ,, grasping for any warmth that i may of still had within me. i don't know how long i was out for ,, but i awoke to find a crow glaring down at me ,, beady black eyes ,, silky black feather ,, and a sharp beak in my face. too tired to even move i closed my eyes again ,, waiting for my inevitable demise. but it never came ,, for when i opened my eyes there was no crow ,, not even a print in the snow to betray in had been there in the first place. anyway ,, frigid and frightened i found myself wandering through the snow that towered above me. i just wandered and wandered ,, no clue where i was. i couldn't see or hear or smell my parents anywhere around. then out of the blue came the crow again. cawing from above me the bird swooped down ,, it's black feathers easily distinguishable against the white of the snow. at first i crouched into the snow ,, scared out of my mind ,, but the crow never attacked. instead it stared at me ,, as if it had something on its mind ,, an intelligence almost. i felt as if i could trust the bird. rising to my paws i walked toward it and once more it took off flying ,, so i stumbled along behind it ,, a strength finding its way into me. as i pursued the bird it flew ,, and as i stopped to rest it stopped with me. i chased that crow until i thought i would die from hypothermia. but i didn't die ,, instead i found a rouge who had been out hunting. he asked me how i had gotten so far into the forest. i told him that the crow showed me ,, though ,, as i looked around there was no crow. i asked him if he had seen it ,, his answer was no. to this day i'm not sure if it was just a hallucination or if it had actually been there. larksong blinked ,, pulling herself from the memory ,, finding herself glued to the ground ,, claws poking through her paws and digging into the snow. i never saw my parents after that either. her voice cracked as she looked to tigers eye ,, who gave her a sympathetic look.

xxxtoo much? larksong nervously chuckled ,, but was surprised when tigers eye chuckled back.
xxxare you kidding? no ,, not at all. actually ,, thank you for telling me. your story ,, it was an ice breaker ,, he joked ,, cringing at his own pun ,, but it got a laugh from larksong.

xxxi don't know what you're talking about! just then a cry of help managed to get it's way into the conversation. it was a small cry ,, barely audible ,, but it made both cats freeze ((no pun intended)). looking around larksong held her breath ,, waiting for another sound ,, and soon enough another small cry sounded. both larksong and tigers eye bounded off toward where the cry was coming from. at first neither cat saw who was crying out ,, but tigers eye came across a small white kitten in the snow ,, wailing his head off. picking the kit up both cats ran back toward camp as fast as they could.

with the storm outside growing stronger and more violet white diamond sat within his den ,, contemplating whether or not he should send out many patrols today. obviously at least one hunting patrol needed to go out ,, but he was fearful that illness might strike the clan. thus far they had been lucky to avoid any major disatsres ,, other than the constant fighting between yellow citrine and green spinel ,, but at least the fights he could keep under control. sickness was in the paws of fate. with a sigh the tom climbed out from his den ,, only to find himself shoved into a familiar scene ,, but this time things had escalated to a new point. just outside of the marquise cuts den was green spinel and yellow citrine. currently the she cat had green spinel pinned underneath her. both were growling ,, yellow citrines ears pinned back agaisnt her headand fur fluffed up. green spinel struggled underneath the larger female.
xxxget off of me you mange infested creature! green spinel yelled out. around the two was a semi circle of cats. why they just stood there instead of heaping green spinel was beyond white diamond.
xxxshut up yer worthless piece of fox dung! yellow citrine growled ,, gettingher face close to green spinels ,, or i'll shut yer up meself. the she cat threatened ,, gripping her claws into the toms shoulders. that was the line ,, a clan mate injuring another clan mate was a huge no no. bounding from his den white diamond leaped at yellow cirtine ,, shoving the she cat to the ground. now white diamond had her pinned ,, fiercly growling.
xxxattacking another clan mate is strictly forbidden. i don't know what made you think i would let it slide ,, but you must realized that it simply is not allowed to even lay a claw on anyone in the clan. understand. white diamond sternly said ,, getting off of yellow cirtine to let her up. hesitantly green spinel got to his paws ,, licking at his bleeding shoulder. go see red fire opal ,, get that checked. he ordered. without any protest the marquise cut headed off to the tumbled cut. now tell me why you attacked green spinel today? the star cut questioned ,, clearly not happy.
xxxhe was givin' me a funny look. she answered ,, eyeing the cats around her as if they were all her enemy. letting out an exasperated sigh white diamond shook his head.
xxxhe gave you a funny look. he repeated ,, shaking his head. a funny look! he now yelled ,, baring his teeth. that is no excuse to attack a clan mate. no excuse. get out of my view now. white diamond screeched ,, causing yellow cirtines eyes to go wide. turning around she stumbled off back into the marquise cuts den. turning to face the cats surrounding him white diamond eyes each and every one of them. as for all of you ,, he started ,, the fur on his back standing up ,, i cannot believe that you all would stand and watch as a clan mate gets attacked. looking to amber the star cut shakes his head once more ,, i am most disappointed of you ,, amber. out of all of the cats in my clan i expected for you to intervene. eyes flicking over the gathered cats white diamond continued ,, it is not acceptable to doddle about as another clan mate is attacked. it will be expected of all of you to break up a fight between two clan mates if one does happen to break out. steely eyes once again landed onto amber before the tom appointed the patrols for today ,, the whole crowd tense and on edge.

xxxare you doing well? the tom quietly questioned the new mother ,, trying not to wake the four sleeping kits at her side.
xxxyes ,, i'm fine ,, go rest. it's very late and you've been fretting about me all day. honey reassured ,, and she was right ,, red fire opal was feeling exhausted. all day he had been trying to train violet iolite in how to treat wounds ,, but she continued to mix up herb names and usages ,, plus the tom had been running back and forth between his den and the princess cuts den to check on honey and her four kits. this was his first time actually doing anything medicine related in his life so anxiety was racking him. even though the princess cut kept reassuring him that both her and her kits were fine red still persisted to worry. with a small nod the tumbled cut left the den ,, finding his way to his den once more. though ,, he didn't sleep. red checked through the herb supply ,, feeling deflated. there wasn't much in stock ,, this worried him. hopefully once new leaf comes around all sorts of herbs will begin to grow. yawning the tom glanced to a snoring violet ,, who had passed out once she hit her nest. how she could sleep so heavily he had no clue ,, but seeing the young she cat resting peacefully only made him more tired. dragging himself to his nest red fire opal flopped down in the moss ,, shutting his eyes. it took some time for sleep to actually come to red ,, but when it did red was only startled awake. it started when the cavern materialized before him ,, the cave having a translucency to it. then ,, as he stared at the misty looking cavern ,, a misty looking cat with stars in her gray pelt appeared atop the overhang that was above the star cuts den. red fire opal stared at the cat in dismay. he wanted to ask am i in star clan? but his mouth would not move.
xxxblackness resides in the one of white ,, she started ,, confusing red fire opal ,, shattered a stone will be // the reign of colorless will take flight // only one pure of heart the end will see with that the world around him dissipated. red fire opal jolted awake ,, eyes wide ,, heart beating fast ,, and breath coming heavy. outside the cave the moon rose high above the territory ,, but red was no longer sleepy. he had to figure this prophecy out because it seemed as if darkness was falling upon the clan.

sitting in the entrance to his den was red fire opal ,, eyes trained on the scene before him. yellow citrine had green spinel pinned ,, but then white dimaond broke in and stopped the fight. good thing because red was sure that yellow citrine might had been about to rip off green spinels head if not for the intervention. every time a fight between the two warring cats broke out red fire opal became super tense. while he figured he would never find himself dragged into one of their fights physically ,, he always worried that yellow cirtine would inure green spinel ,, then as it was his job to heal cats ,, she would hate him for helping to cure whatever injuries green spinel sustained from yellow citrine. and today that worry became reality ,, for yellow citrine scratched green spinel. but that wasn't the scariest part about the en-devour. the part that truly freaked out red fire opal was when white diamond did get into the fight. never had he seen the star cut so angry. it was almost as if red could see the anger bubbling over and spilling out of the tom. the familiar voice echoed into reds head. blackness resides in the one of white. was white diamond the one of white? or was it one of the other white cats within the clan? moissanite was too calm and patient ,, zircon did have somewhat of a temper ,, tigers eye more so enjoyed a good joke than a good fight ,, and marcasite was too laid back. whoever this line spoke of red fire opal feared the worst.

“Those who fight monsters

Information

• Live on an island

• Prey is relatively scarce

• The island is home to a very ferocious bear

• Have special customs

• Very muscular, strong-built cats

• The Clan is seen as resilient, tough, and strong, but also distant and reluctant to help others

Territory

BearClan lives on an island with several mountain ranges, cliffs, and caves. Their camp is in a valley where a river runs. The camp is wedged between the bottoms of two mountains. The Clan is located somewhere near New Zealand so many of the cats have accents.

Customs

• The Clan must have population control and make sure only the strongest can live among their ranks

• Once an apprentice becomes a warrior, they are given 3 pebbles of a unique color

• Every two moons, a pebble is drawn. Whoever’s pebble is drawn has to go challenge the bear. If they win and return home, they are safe...for now. But if not...they become the bear’s dinner.

• Once all of a cat’s 3 pebbles are drawn, they no longer have to be subjected to the Bear. If they survive the 3rd challenge, they are promoted to senior warrior and are usually given some privileges

• Only cats who have survived the 3 challenges may become deputy/leader

•There are very little elders in the Clan since most die young. However, an elder is made if a senior warrior retires or is too injured/sick to keep up their warrior duties

• If a regular warrior becomes critically injured or sick(such as breaking a limb or having a sever case of greencough), they will be fed Deadly Nightshade, a swift way to die, and will be honored and buried. This is to save the cat from suffering. They by no means kill one of their own maliciously. (Besides, you know, feeding them to the bear)

• Only cats who have survived at least 1 challenge may have apprentices

• Only warriors may be challengers. Queens are not subjected. However, once their kits are apprenticed, their stones can be drawn again.

• Queens may only have 1 litter. However, since a single kit is an unlucky sign, if their first litter only has 1 kit, they may have a second one. But if the second litter only has 1, the Queen cannot have any more.

• Each cat may only have 1 mate, even if their previous one dies

• Medicine-Cats may have mates but may not have any kits

• Most of the Clan members are scarred. Some have missing ears, eyes and limbs, but these are extremely rare. Normally, every cat that has survived has a little nick or pelt scar

should make sure that they do not become a monster. ”

Newleaf- Spring has arrived in the clans, and life is prospering. the first whisper of this thriving season came from the small flower buds bursting from every treetop. Prey poked their heads out from their burrows, feeling a gentle breeze for the first time in moons. Prey will be higher due to this. As the cold temperature slowly rises, kittings will go much smoother, and the chances
of death by childbirth or being stillborn have drastically went down. Along with the departure of freezing winds and chilling snow, kittencough, whitecough, or greencough are highly uncommon in newleaf. However, with the heat rising, the remnants of snow are beginning to melt, causing floods everywhere. Storms will contribute to these, and due to this, more cats will want to join your clan to avoid the bad weather.

[ Shrikeflower's patrol caught a squirrel and two small fish ]
[ Mudstar's patrol comes across a nursing queen who can't find her newborn kits. She left to hunt for food and her kits were gone from her den when she came back. Maybe if the Clan cats help her, she will join the Clan. Hmm... the queen looks like she might be one of the kits of Kestrelfoot ]
[ Swanclaw and Whimbrelfoot spend most of the day at the tree but they finally return to camp just as the sun starts to disappear with a loner in tow ]
[ Hazelleaf and Batpaw gathered chervil, elder leaves and lungwort ]
[ Pikepaw, Emberpaw and Sparrowpaw learn the Climb skill ]
[ Daisypaw, Pipitpaw and Bramblingpaw learn the Stealth skill ]

The first Kwamiclan Kami was a young tomcat named Hawksoul. He was ambitious, but for all the right reasons. He founded the clan, and raised its numbers quickly, creating a kind and loyal clan. When a beautiful she-cat named Akuma requested to join, Hawkspirit never thought twice, welcoming her into Kwamiclan with open paws.

Akuma however, had a heart of shadow. Her rouges, who had been infiltrating the clan for seasons, almost since its founding, whispered in the ears of the others, turning them against Hawksoul and towards Akuma. Finally, she managed to manipulate Hawksoul into making her Keeper.

Many stayed with Akuma when, the following night, she killed Hawksoul in front of the entire clan. A few fled, but those that were smart stayed with her, swearing loyalty, even if it was false. Akuma ruled Kwamiclan for nearly five season-cycles. During that time, Kwamiclan turned into nothing more than a fancy group of rouges. However, due to her disbelief, Akuma's treachery finally caught up with her, and her only life was taken in a devastating illness that swept through the clan like wildfire.

Very few cats survived, and those that did weren't willing to take the risk of recreating the clan, for fear of Akuma's living followers. They scattered, and Kwamiclan became a name of the past.

But, one day, a young cat, child of one of the original Kwamiclan cats discovered a queen and four young kits, former members of a former clan. Taking pity on them, the cat invited them into their den, telling them stories of Kwamiclan, in exchange for stories of their old home Deerclan. With a little persuasion, the cat agreed to refound the clan of spirits. But in addition to recreating his childhood clan, he also added in a new rank. The Akuma. Cats who, for whatever reason, could not be trusted. Newcomers would be placed there for three moons, until they had proven themselves loyal.

Territory

BearClan lives on an island with several mountain ranges, cliffs, and caves. Their camp is in a valley where a river runs. The camp is wedged between the bottoms of two mountains. The Clan is located somewhere near New Zealand so many of the cats have accents.

Customs

• The Clan must have population control and make sure only the strongest can live among their ranks

• Once an apprentice becomes a warrior, they are given 3 pebbles of a unique color

• Every two moons, a pebble is drawn. Whoever’s pebble is drawn has to go challenge the bear. If they win and return home, they are safe...for now. But if not...they become the bear’s dinner.

• Once all of a cat’s 3 pebbles are drawn, they no longer have to be subjected to the Bear. If they survive the 3rd challenge, they are promoted to senior warrior and are usually given some privileges

• Only cats who have survived the 3 challenges may become deputy/leader

•There are very little elders in the Clan since most die young. However, an elder is made if a senior warrior retires or is too injured/sick to keep up their warrior duties

• If a regular warrior becomes critically injured or sick(such as breaking a limb or having a sever case of greencough), they will be fed Deadly Nightshade, a swift way to die, and will be honored and buried. This is to save the cat from suffering. They by no means kill one of their own maliciously. (Besides, you know, feeding them to the bear)

• Only cats who have survived at least 1 challenge may have apprentices

• Only warriors may be challengers. Queens are not subjected. However, once their kits are apprenticed, their stones can be drawn again.

• Queens may only have 1 litter. However, since a single kit is an unlucky sign, if their first litter only has 1 kit, they may have a second one. But if the second litter only has 1, the Queen cannot have any more.

• Each cat may only have 1 mate, even if their previous one dies

• Medicine-Cats may have mates but may not have any kits

• Most of the Clan members are scarred. Some have missing ears, eyes and limbs, but these are extremely rare. Normally, every cat that has survived has a little nick or pelt scar

northclan is a clan of a religious sort, always believing that their medicine cats are to pray to the stars once
every night the moon rises. they know for a sure fact that their ancestors guide them along the path of each
members' lives, from the day they were born to their last few breaths. although most clans do marvel in the
idea of their ancestor's guidance and well-being, northclan is solely based from the first few cats of the clan
that painted the sky with stars, which is their essential belief to this day. they believed that each fiber of th
e earth and sky was that of their ancestors' creation, whether the connections be scattered or fully intact.

northclan's camp is deeply surrounded by concave mountains, & packed snow. the weather tends to be frigid,
which often drives enemy clans away from their borders. because of the weather, northclan's cats eventually
adapted to growing thicker pelts against the harsh winters to keep warm, and are much more resistant to the
cold. most haven't even had their fur tainted by the hearth of any kind of warm weather, thus granting them a
sense of immunity to their frozen empire, risen high above the plains by the erosion of the mountains that so
deeply surround them. there is a stream that follows a path of fir trees, that is mostly frozen solid due to the
harsh weather, henceforth called 'the frozen stream' among the northclan cats. it is mandatory that when
northclan sends patrols, that they bring bundles of moss to the stream to soak up water, as well as a few
morsels of prey.

Once Brushstar and Sandyfoot come back to the den with the newly caught mouse, Sandyfoot places the mouse in the fresh-kill pile, while Brushstar goes to the leader den to rest after the long day. Sandyfoot then pads to the warrior den and sleeps aswell.
In the morning the two go out to hunt again near the river and as they approach the river Brushstar finds a fallen tree acting as a bridge that seemed to be there for many moons. He asked Sandyfoot to continue the hunt without him as she checked out the bridge.
Once he put his paw on the old log the bark he lashed his paw on cracked off, but he was determined to see what was on the other side of the river. He leaped onto the log and luckily for him, it was still sturdy. Brushstar carefully padded across the bridge and landed at the other side of the river. He explored the forest of that side as well as the mountain area where he found another smaller cave. He looked into the entrance and sniffed to check the area to make sure there were no threats in the cave. It was empty. Brushstar silently padded into the cave and at the back was a crystal-clear pool of spring water. The score seemed to be coming from underneath the pool itself as every few moments the spring seemed to bubble for a second and then be calm for a moment until it bubbled again. Brushstar approached the spring and looked into the water, then he saw his grandparents and some of his siblings in the pool reflecting back at him, they died of heatstroke. Then he was shown his other old clanmates who had died of dehydration. Brushstar was shocked and to make sure nothing like that would happen to CrescentClan he asked his former clanmates for a medicine cat “StarClan, I beg for my clan to be safe and not end up like my former clan, please grant me my wish of a medicine cat!”, he cried as he ran from the spring and back to the bridge. Sandyfoot sat on the other side of the river waiting for him to cross, “what were you doing?” The she-cat asked him. “I was patrolling the other side of the river” Brushstar replied as he padded across the log to reach Sandyfoot.

"What's your name?" Halfstar questioned a brown and white she-cat.
"I'm Maple."
"And you wish to join Rabbitclan?"
"If that's ok with you. I've traveled a long way to find somewhere to stay. I lost everything in leafbare... A tree fell in a blizzard, destroying my home and trapping my sick brother inside. I managed to dig him out but..." She broke off, clearly about to begin crying if she said another word.
"I am sorry for your loss." Halfstar dipped his head solemnly. "You are welcome to join my clan if you like."
Without another word he turned and led her towards camp.

A heartbeat after stepping into camp something pinned Halfstar down. Halfstar threw them off with a huff and spun to face the enemy. Before him stood a grey cat with glowing green eyes. "Who are you?" Halfstar demanded. Suddenly the strangers eyes widened in surprise and embarrassment.
"My apologies great leader!" He gasped.
"Who are you?" Halfstar repeated.
"Oh, I'm your deputy. Starclan sent me." He purred, glancing curiously at Maple. "Who is this? I was not informed there would be any other cats."
"I'm Maple." She murmured shyly. Halfstar studied them both closely.
"You," He flicked his tail at the so-called deputy. "What is your name?" The grey tom shrugged. "Perhaps I should give you both proper names." An indignant huff came from Maple. "Proper clan names." He corrected.

"Very good." Halfstar said approvingly at the deputy's first attempt of organizing patrols. "Let's go."

Ragingstorm's tail rippled slightly, and he smiled as the four kits begged for another story. "Alright, alright, settle down little cubs." he said, using the nickname he'd made for them. "tonight it will be...how Hawksoul defended Kwamiclan from the vicious rouges to the north." He glanced up at Tigerlily as he spoke, as though confirming with her that it was alright to tell the young ones that story.

The brown and white she-cat nodded slowly, after a brief pause to think it over. Ragingstorm nodded, and then said "This was a time when Kwamiclan was young. The ranks were all filled, but that didn't mean there was an overflow of cats." he chuckled "My mother was but a kit, and my father not even a part of the clan." Shaking out his fur to get out of the past, Ragingstorm continued "Groups of rouges were starting to gather on the border, hissing and attacking any patrol that went by." Sparkkit, the youngest, shuddered "Why id 'ey 'o tat?" he squeaked, orange and white fur puffing up slightly.

Ragingstorm shrugged "I don't know. My mother never said that part, maybe they wanted land, maybe they wanted prey, maybe they were like Akuma, the type of cat who is filled with hate, even without a reason." Tumblekit batted playfully at Sparkkit's ears "Shhh!" he hissed "Let Ragingstorm finish!"

Several hours later, as the moon was making its steady climb into the sky, the kits were sleeping, and Tigerlily and Ragingstorm were sitting on a small earthen rise in the clearing. "You know, all those stories you told, even though you never lived in the real Kwamiclan, and I was only ever a queen in Deerclan...why don't you try to recreate it? I want someplace safe for my kits to live. If that means changing to the Kwamiclan way of things, so be it."

Ragingstorm looked away "I don't know..." he said slowly "I mean, what about Akuma's followers?" Tigerlily snorted "Are you seriously afraid of some mangy rouges? Just...made a new rank, to test newcomers. Try them out for a couple moons, figure out who they really are, and then either accept them or chase them out. Kill them if you must."

He'd actually done it. Gone to the moonpool, and been named Ragingsoul, the re-founder of Kwamiclan. The kits had been renamed, simply changing the -kit at the end of their names to -cub, like the Kwamiclan of old. With the help of Tigerlily, he'd gotten the dens set up, as well as a new one. Like Tigerlily had suggested, he'd brought forwards a new rank in front of the stars and they'd approved. The Akuma were cats who needed to prove they were loyal, such as newcomers, or the children of forbidden relationships.

"Once again I come before you, souls of the past. I thank you, for...for helping me bring back the clan of my origin. I want to make it stronger, and we have plenty of cubs. I want a Guardian, to help train them when they are old enough."

Slatestar sat perched on the outcrop that poked out from the cave he used as his den. He closed his eyes and felt the wind blow through his fur. He enjoyed the warmth of the sun as it tried to break through the clouds. He sighed and jumped down, leaving camp to start the day.

The newleaf had a restoring effect on the clan and on this day, those who stayed behind relaxed in a day without rain. Applenose and Palefur were asleep in the warriors' den, having just been relieved by Ashstripe and Briarwhisker who were now standing guard at the entrance. Soft murmuring could be heard from the medicine cats' den, where Dustleaf was teaching Larkpaw the ways of healing and of Starclan. They would go out to look for herbs later, Dustleaf had informed Applenose, to ensure that Fawnfur and Gulltail would have smooth births. The queens and Mila's kits were also asleep, having been tired out from playing a game of Scatter and a game of "who can climb the highest" on one of the many trees in camp. That left only Mistfur, a newcomer to the clan, and Scorchpelt to break the peaceful silence.

"It's so quiet," commented Mistfur.

Scorchpelt's tail twitched. "Yeah," he said. "Most of the warriors are out hunting or patrolling, and the kits are all asleep. Otherwise, it'd be much louder."

"I actually like it this way. Makes it easier to relax."

The ginger tom snorted, amused. "Well, Applenose sure works us hard."

"I've noticed," laughed Mistfur. "And it's probably only a matter of time before I need to go hunt or patrol."

"Yup," agreed Scorchpelt.

Swancloud would never feel guilt for what he had done to Forestclan. It had been necessary and perhaps Applenose could finish what Oakheart had started, as Swancloud doubted he had the ability to finish off Honeystar. But as the moons passed and life settled back down, the white tom could turn his attention to more mundane matters. Such as Neritestream. The brown classic tabby molly was a rare find, he thought. Beautiful, simple, and innocent. She could never know what he did, or else he doubted that they would have much of a future together. Let the past die, Swancloud thought to himself as he watched Neritestream bound out of the camp to follow Boulderpelt's hunting patrol. Oakheart is dead. It's over.

Silverpaw drifted through a silent forest dotted with points of color. Ginger, white, blue, brown, and tortoiseshell all were seen as she drifted. Pursue your passions, someone whispered. I love you so much, another said. I'm sorry I couldn't be there with you. Slowly, she arose from her dream and saw her mentor lying next to her.

"Did you dream?" asked Mottleflower.

"Y-yes," said Silverpaw shakily. The details were already fading but she remembered seeing a pair of copper eyes looking at her proudly. A brown spotted pelt that felt familiar but couldn't quite recall. "And... And I'm ready. I'm ready for my assessments."

[ Fawnfur, Isidora, Gulltail, and Mila stay back to mind the kits, Blizzardkit, Cloudkit, and Icekit. ]
