my costume idea; Legolas the Elf, from LOTR!
materials i'll need to complete it;
Clothing;
•green material (preferably suede, or something similar) for the tunic
•brown material (preferably the same material as the main part of the tunic), also for part of the tunic
•long sleeved pale grey undershirt
•tights, in a darker shade of grey
•light brown leather belt
•dark brown leather boots
•brooch (official merch purchase)
•arm braces (official merch purchase or, if confident, brown leather and leather cord)

Bow, quiver and arrows;
•bow (official merch purchase, because making one yourself is very difficult)
•cardboard tube
•acrylic paint (silver/grey and brown)
•paintbrushes & water
•long wooden skewers (that will fit in the tube); paper mache to thicken them more to a quill size (glue&water, newspaper strips)
•cardboard (cut into arrowhead shapes, for the ends of the quills)
•feathers, for the other end of the quills (real feathers optional; thin paper cut into shapes may be less messy)
•leather strap, to attach to quiver

Misc;
•scissors
•detailing pen (white or silver metallic)
•hot glue+gun
•long pale blond wig & small hair ties for holding braids in place, if doing them yourself
•tape measure
•pencil + paper (for taking down measurements)
how i came up with the idea; Growing up in rural New Zealand basically feels like being raised in the Shire. Ever since I read LOTR I fell in love, and always felt proud watching the movies, seeing these amazing books come to life in my own country. Legolas has always been a favorite character, and for a long time I've been wanting to cosplay as some sort of elf, so over the years I've made a very extensive list of things I'd need to create a similar outfit.

favorite drink?; coke, sprite or apple mango juice. Coke is just nice, no real reason for liking it. As weird as it might sound I have sentimental attachment to sprite, I had it quite often as a kid with my grandfather who I don't see much since he's overseas. And apple mango juice is just a really pretty shade of yellow? if you get a good bottle the scent and taste of mango is pretty strong and I love it. Weirdly though, I hate actual whole mangos ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
