“i was just trying to help!” star-ignition protests, huffing out an embarrassed and frustrated sigh. sandstorm-rose giggles as it carefully loosens the tangled string of lights, enough for star-ignition to finally crawl his way out and stand properly.

“you’re lucky only sunny-duckling and wormwood-glade were around and got me fairly quickly,” sandstorm-rose teases as it licks the top of its friend’s head. star-ignition pulls away and rolls their eyes, the heat in their face never once dying down.

“not really “lucky”— you can hear them laughing and talking about it for miles!”

“well, yeah, but imagine how much more embarrassing it’d be if, say… jade-feathers or allium-gaze had been the ones to find you, hm? everyone would have gotten to see it before i could help you out!”

“ugh! well, see if i help out anymore. i’m leaving the decorating to everyone else from now on!”
