I chose this song because ReachClan has a lot of preparing to do before each the winter. Its both an anxious and exciting time as all the cats are bustling around moving to their seasonal camp as the first signs of leafbare begin to show themselves. This song is all about the anticipation of the season and the sights that go along with it, and ReachClan certainly can relate to that. The kits and fledglings have a tradition of decorating the new leafbare camp with unique items and plants they have found while travelling, adding to the seasonal cheer to brighten up the rather empty cave they camp in.

this christmas song probably fits the clan the best due to how welcoming and helping they are of other cats that aren't apart of their clan. they always think about others and will go out of their way to help them if they can such as providing shelter and food for them if they can. the clan is full of selfless cats who always strive to help others out. outsiders don't alarm them and they will try and help even the most distrusting of cats.

The cats don't really know what theirs would be but the kits think Jingle bells sounds like a nice song! So the clan decided on Jingle bells for their song, no real reason besides the kits thinking it sounded cute. They were asked and they said the would think it would sound the best! leafbare is full of trial and hardships and the guild hates it. but, for larkwing, she is the polar opposite for her guild thinks of it. she absolutely loves leafbare as it just so peaceful. no predators roam about too much in the territory and her role isn’t as frustrating. it is a time to relax and let it go easier without a lot of problems arising.

Pearl is used to living at a higher altitude, near the mountains, and as such the winter weather doesn’t bother her as much as others.

Thistle grunted as he pulled himself out of a snow bank, he watched as the two kittens jumped over each other to play in the snow. “You’re doing that by choice?” He shivered just thinking about it before he nestled himself into the closest den. “It’s so cold…” he mumbled to no one in particular.

A laugh came from the back, making Thistle jump. “Sorry to scare you, you’ll get used to the cold Thistle.”

After realizing it was just Pearl he awkwardly groomed his ears, “I don’t know, I think my paws are going to fall off every time I walk in it… how do you know anyway?”

Pearl sat up, “Well clearly I’m fine in this weather, I was just taking a nap, but running around in the snow doesn’t bother me at all. Your winter coat will come in thicker next year, your body just wasn’t quite ready for it this time. I promise. Why do you think Lion and them are doing better than you?”

“Cause they’re more rough around the edges? I don’t know. I never thought about it being my winter coat… it’s actually never been this thick before. Do you like winter?”

Pearl nodded softly, “I love the winter it…” she caught herself before she talked about her old home, “it’s just very beautiful don’t you think? The sunsets and the snow just look beautiful and the little crystals the frost make… it’s just calming.”

Thistle squinted as some of the snowflakes in his paws, “I guess the snow is beautiful… just wish it wasn’t so cold.”

Absolutely, positively, Maplewish. The happy-go-lucky warrior has always been such a way her entire life. No matter the situation, she wears a bright smile and works through whatever the challenge is and with this whole event of snow, she's no different. Maplewish believes the snow is lovely, pretty even. The cold means she gets to spend more time with her friends and she fails to see why everyone is so worried. Maybe this is one of the best things to ever happen to them!

─ that cat would be the ever mysterious shaman, not many members of the tribe know about them. they appeared seemingly from no where, no one has any memories of a kit hood with them. there's a myth about the tribe saying that they have been there since the tribe was a established many moons ago.

─ the shaman sees winter as a rebirth for the plants and animals around the territory, without the snowfall some plants would not be able to grow and recover in their dormant state. they would very well lose a lot of herbs needed to sustain the tribe. they also find it peaceful, a time where the groves become quiet and serene. the bitter cold and heavy snowfall also remind them of their mother who they were very close to. memories tend to flood back and cloud their mind during winter, this is where they feel weakest though they are happy to reminisce and grateful that they are capable of remembering the one that loved them the most. their mother would play with them in the snow tending to lose them every once and a while though that was the fun of it for them, the memories of warm nights snuggled deep into their mothers fur and the soft smell of wood smoke filling their senses. the shaman will often daydream staring out at the snow covered ground, often needing to be pulled back to the present by the healers.
