CraterClan's Rules

Apprentice → Warrior
When an apprentice reaches the age of twelve moons, they are set with the challenge of swimming across the Water Crater on their own, and hunting at least five fish while they're at it. If they succeed in this task, they must put their five fish in the Fresh-Kill Crater in silence, while their clanmates watch. If the apprentice does not lay down their fish in silence, they must swim across the Water Crater once again, picking up another fish. After this, the apprentice receives their warrior name based on their skills or personality, and are congratulated. The new warrior will then carry on with the day as usual.

If the apprentice fails their task of bringing back at least five fish, they must try again the next moon. During this moon, the apprentice is usually laughed at and looked down upon by their clanmates.

Normally, if the apprentice goes underwater, their clanmates must leave them be and not interfere, but if it seems like the apprentice is drowning, the apprentice's mentor must save them. If (this is very unlikely) the mentor starts drowning, the leader must save them both. If (this is extremely unlikely) the mentor/leader does not go to save the drowning cats, they will be exiled or chased away.

Renaming Loners / Kittypets
When the leader meets a cat at the moonpool, and they don't have a clan name, the leader must name them based on their fur colour and how they met the new cat. For example, when Minnowstar met Custard, a leaf swayed down onto his nose. Thus, Minnowstar renamed Custard 'Heather-' (for her light ginger pelt) '-sway'. If a cat already has a clan name (e.g., Tigertail and Barknose) then they keep that name.

If the new cats are met on border patrol, and don't have a clan name, they are taken to the leader (unless the leader was the cat on border patrol) and are renamed.

After the leader has decided on a name, they announce it on the ledge.

THERE ARE NO CEREMONIES WHEN A LONER / KITTYPET IS RENAMED.
