Here you can read their story and learn more about them.

Sootclan was a part of a rpg game called create a clan

Their Clan's Story:
The clan is brave and loyal.
All (or at least most) of the clanmates reflect this.
They are focused on both justice and peace and the warrior code is the most important thing to them.
They live in a forest near some mountains. Therefore they are use to hunting in both. A long time ago their were more cats but sadly they are long gone due to a fire that happened. Than like a phoenix they rose from the ashes.
One cat stepped forward and began to remake the clan once lost.
This cat was Ashstar.

Mountains to north,forest on all sides,theres a pond outside camp but life in it has been scared off by cats plus fish eaten long ago by old sootclan. Also nobody can swim so its more a drinking place.

/Sootclan Traditions/

After cat passes away buried on land in fav place. (not camp or living areas) Buried with family members.
Covered in different flowers and rocks from the forest.
Family members might draw things in the dirt on the grave.
Believed this keeps you in touch with clan and forest as you move on to Starclan.
In case of forbidden relationships cat will be buried alone or if they fess up near border of other clan they have relationship in. Buried on Sootclan's side but if other clan questions it they'll mostly get a lie in order not to shame the clan. Betraying your clan is seen as disrespectful to both the clan and the leader themselves.
The cat in question loses a lot of respect from other members of Sootclan but isn't abandoned completely. Punishment is mostly living with your consequences. All relationship ties are cut off and deputy/leader will explain it to other clan cat.

/Meet the Clan/

Ashstar:
Descendent of old Sootclan cats but their all gone due to fire.
Holds the warrior code and loyalty to his clan in high regard.
This makes him a stick to the rules kind of guy. He expects everyone to follow the rules and gets disappointed/upset/angry when they don't. He is a huge worrier. Ashstar will often question his own actions after he has done them. Or he'll question something before he does it. Ashstar patrols by himself to ease this stress but it doesn't go away.

Bassthorn:
Was a loner who believes in healing others instead of fighting. He would go around healing cats he saw as injured. This made him actually quite popular in twoleg places.
He has had romantic interest in both toms and shecats but due to his mental image of himself being a medicine cat,he is wrong for having these feelings and Rumbletail's stories quickly stuffs the emotions.
He can actually be insensitive to others feelings of romance.
Though he falls for cats too easily:/
Due to stuffing these emotions Bassthorn is a very good lier. Its almost impossible to know he did something. This makes him good at pranks. Whenever he plays a prank it normally gets blamed on others. Secretly he enjoys not getting caught and gets a thrill seeing others get in trouble for his actions.
Enjoys adding fuel to Rumbletail's stories and likes spending time with the elder.

Whiteheart:
Is actually scared of any huge crowds and gets nervous around cats she doesn't know. She hangs around Rumbletail and Birdstorm hoping their confidence will rub off on her. She kind of has a mild crush on Ashstar. This came from her admiration of him starting a clan from nothing but a dream.
However shes super shy and these emotions won't be shown.
Super naive. Has been corrupted by Rumbletail and believes in the elders stories a little too much.

Rumbletail:
Enjoys her stories. More than half of these stories are straight up lies. Whenever she is left alone she comes up with new material. She talks about all her clanmates but enjoys teasing Ashstar because he takes it so personally.
Rumbletail hates it when camp is quiet and everyone leaves her behind. Her 'writing' actually is the only thing keeping her from her depression at having nobody to talk to. Therefore when nobody is around she kinda loses it and forces herself to go to sleep till someone gets back. Friends with Bassthorn and Whiteheart who both like her stories.

Birdstorm:
Gets angry when not listened to.
You will listen otherwise she'll deal with you herself. The one who figures things out and balances Ashstar's worrying. She sees her clan as her family and will go to the end for them. She deeply cares for Ashstar as a friend,almost like he's her brother. Also is friends with Whiteheart who can be seen following her. Woodenpaw also follows her. Birdstorm for some reason collects unconfident cats.
Shes good at bringing them out of their shyness though pretty much forcing them to be in situations they don't wanna be in.

Riversong:
Finds Bassthorn kinda cute and enjoys teasing him.Understands hes a medcat but will still tease him.
Gentle cinnamonroll kindest cat you'll ever meet.
Was a kittypet who didn't want to lose her kits to twolegs.

Woodenpaw:
Named so cause pelt looks like wood rings.
He is so skittish gosh.
Mentally breaks down around huge crowds.
Admires Birdstorm his mentor.

Elkstep:
Riversong's mate,father to her kits.
Is full of himself.
Believes he rightfully deserves compliments for what he does.
Was a kittypet but left for Riversong and the kits. Will miss his owners.
Expects her to be grateful for being there. Bassthorn dislikes him so does Birdstorm. His personality will irritate them both.

Sorrowstory:
Tragedy/Depression/Clarity/Distrust
Use to be a twoleg cat until bad luck came upon the family. Believing that it was her fault they dumped her into the forest. She fell asleep and dreamt of starry cats and a new home. She sees cats as they truly are. Its super hard to hide yourself from her. Because of this (and other reasons) Bassthorn avoids her like the plague. She sees him as a rude cat and doesn't like him at all.This cat prefers to be alone and doesn't hang out with the other cats. She sees herself as bad and tells herself she shouldn't be around them but hopes for acceptance. Her distrust comes from her past and she believes she will be abandoned eventually.

Skyswallow:
Cunning/Beneath/Flirt/Cutting/Smug
Use to be a loner that lived in the mountains on Sootclan territory.
He is use to being alone and joined Sootclan out of amusement.
Skyswallow takes a personal joy out of preying on weak cats.
He seeks them out and brings them lower. He prefers to be held in a high position and is just as full of himself as Elkstep is...except hes gonna make sure everyone looks up to him and only him.

Rumbletail has a fanfiction account
She calls herself "The Bumbler"
Ashstar got ahold of it once and deleted it with Bassthorn's help.
Bassthorn is a secret computer hacker. Only Ashstar knows.
They gave up when "The Bumbler" moved to other websites.
The Bumbler has a Tumblr
Birdstorm drinks her coffee straight black with a little cream (she makes it herself not wanting to deal with those dark foresters).But nobody knows how she gets itShe hates juice with a passion fruit #badjokes.
Rumbletail likes juice however but hates seeds in her teeth. She refuses to drink anything with seeds and will complain loudly at the sight of them.
Her favorite is apple juice or orange juice (but no pulp starclan forbid if you give this elder pulp she will complain).
Whiteheart puts so much milk in her coffee that its basically just milk.
Birdstorm is disgusted by this and keeps trying to make Whiteheart try more coffee. Whiteheart politely refuses. She likes her milk.
Bassthorn does half milk and half coffee only to annoy Birdstorm.
Bassthorn than adds juice in his drink to gross everyone out.
Ashstar likes juice but the fruit is pretty much always tropical. His favorite is dragonfruit
(google it guys) ,mango and starfruit
(yet again google guys). Ashstar also has a fondness for strawberries and kiwis. He refuses to drink coffee since its "bad for my health and growth". If nothing is available he'll
just have a water thank you.
Riversong likes both green and chai tea and drinks it with a bendy straw.
She shares with her kits.
(like imagine a little family of cats drinking from bendy straws too much cute guys stop it:p)
Woodenpaw firmly believes in H20
and drinks nothing but.
Elkstep likes caramel lattes.
Sorrowstory drinks strong black coffee made by Birdstorm. She tells Birdstorm it must be stronger.
Birdstorm tells her to make it herself. They go back and forth jokingly. Sorrowstory ends up making coffee herself.
Birdstorm takes no sass.
Skyswallow drinks his tea out of the most fancies cup possible.
He probably takes one dainty sip and wastes the rest.
If someone made it he'll comment that he tasted better tea elsewhere.

1x Catmint | Best remedy for the deadly greencough, which kits and elders usually catch in the season of leaf-bare. Can also be used for whitecough

1x Dandelion | Thought to soothe and heal bee stings. Its leaves can also be chewed to act like a painkiller

a white cat arrived at the edge of a forest, mountains far away in the horizon. this cat had

received a dream from starry cats telling him to start a clan there. they took a deep breath

and walked into the forest.

after setting up camp, the cat fell asleep and again 'starclan' appeared to him in a dream.

they told him the sad tale of a clan called sootclan that once lived in the forest. a fire had

completly destroyed the clan and all that remained of their camp was a pile of ashes. the

white cat then accepted the challenge of making sootclan rise from his ashes and received

nine lives.

Ashstar looked over his clan land and smiled. But he couldn't stare for too long. Their was

prey to be caught and cats to be found. After all how else was he going to revive Sootclan?

Ashstar decided if he prayed maybe cats would come.

Ashstar prayed to Starclan and prayed and prayed for a cat.
He wasn't specific in his silent plea for any cat would be useful.
He waited forever. Nobody showed up.
Ashstar however didn't doubt Starclan for a second. A cat would show up.
He made his way back to his clan and paused in Sootclan's entrance.
Their was a cat in his clan...but they looked old.
"Bout time you showed up im starving here! Im told to come here by some dead cats and you

kept me waiting all day. You better be Ashstar cause i swear if you aren't..."
Who is this old cat rambling in his clan camp? Ashstar's ears twitched in annoyence.
"Well speak up youngin I ain't getting any younger here."
Ashstar cleared his throat and spoke,trying to be calm
"Yes I am Ashstar of Sootclan."
The old cat stretched and than sat up.
"Good I didn't come here for nothing." the she-cat meowed
"Names Rumble youngin."
"In clans we go by longer names..." Ashstar meowed
"Pheesshaaww you forest cats and long names. Fine but im keeping Rumble in it."
"Rumbletail."
"Thats fine."
Ashstar signed loudly. Well he did say all cats served a purpose.

"...and that's how i ended up here." the cat finished. ashstar had found a lost cat by the

borders and had immediately approached them. after a bit of chatting, the leader has asked

the cat if they wanted to join sootclan. they had gladly accepted and the pair headed back to

camp.

Rumbletail meowed smirking widly
"Thats the story of how Ashstar came out of the den."
Whiteheart nodded ,eyes wide and focused on Rumbletail as the elder told her own

story...suddenly Ashstar burst into the elders den.
"Rumbletail! Stop corrupting my warriors!"
Rumbletail grinned wider and continued while poor Whitestorm just looked around in

confusement
"He sneaks away and meets his mate every now and than..." Rumbletail purred
"Whiteheart lets go...patrol now!"
As they left they heard Rumbletail shout
"If we had kits in this clan I would have someone to tell my storys to!"
Ashstar siliently thanked Starclan this wasn't the case.

whiteheart was about to ask her leader a question when a dark-colored cat smelling strongly

of herbs padded into view. "what are you doing on sootclan territory?" called ashstar. the

stranger turned around and his eyes widened. "you're from the clan that lives here? i've been

wanting to join you!"

Catskitten/Rumbletail writes/adds more fuel to the fire jan 8:
"And their is the tom." Rumbletail crowed dramatically as the three cats returned from the

patrol
Whiteheart jaw dropped and she looked at both Ashstar and the new medicine cat.
"But....but hes the new medicine cat!!!" Whiteheart meowed loudly
"The horror! The drama! Starclan will be ashamed!" Rumbletail carried on
Ashstar's ears pinned back and he began to growl.
"Rumbletail...stop." Ashstar hissed
"Excuse me? But what is going on?" The brown cat asked politily
Everyone began to talk at once to explain. Luckily the medcat got the idea of what happened.

When he got it the brown cat smiled.
"Im sorry Ashstar but my heart belongs to Starclan."
The newbie meowed than winked
Rumbletail than began wheezing in silent laughter.

"Bassthorn!!! Bassthorn!!!" The small clan welcomed the new medcat
The brown cat grinned at the clan, gaze filled with warmth.
Bassthorn looked forward to caring for them.

"Let all cats young and old gather here for a clan meeting!!!"
Ashstar yowled loudly from a rock in the clans camp
Sootclan cats gathered near to here what their leader had to say.
"Alright what?" Rumbletail called out
Ashstar nodded and than delivered his news
"Today is the gathering when all clans meet under peace to talk.
I need to know if anyone is staying here."
Every cat started commenting at once that they were going.
Ashstar looked at Rumbletail
"Even you?"-Ashstar
"Yes Im not staying in camp alone youngin."-Rumbletail
"Fine than."-Ashstar
"Alright that is everyone. Ill help Bassthorn prepare everyone to leave."
Birdstorm commented than walked over to the medcat to see what needed to be done
Everyone got ready to head out than left camp for the gathering.

Gathering Cats:Ashstar,Birdstorm,Bassthorn,Whiteheart,Rumbletail

Sootclan arrived at the gathering in one piece and broke off to walk around and

inspect the other clans.

Bassthorn spotted a group of medicine cats and made his way over to them
"Hello im Bassthorn the new medicine cat of Sootclan."
(medcat group)

Rumbletail turned around with a bit of surprise than purred.
"I am Rumbletail. That was my clan Sootclan but they are all walking off to Starclan knows

where. Im well i assume you are too? *Rumbletail wink* Glad to see someone here is gonna talk

to me."
(with slatestorm)

Ashstar made his way to the leaders rock and jumped up.
"Greetings i am Ashstar of Sootclan." Ashstar greeted the other leaders then sat down
(with leaders now)

Birdstorm and Whiteheart sat near the entrance looking around.
Whiteheart ears slightly pinned back and she stayed near the more confident deputy.
There were too many cats...way too many.

At Gathering:Ashstar,Birdstorm,Bassthorn,Whiteheart,Rumbletail

(medcat group)

Ashstar nodded at Heatherstar with a polite tone
(He noticed the tenseness but decided to keep quiet.)
"Greetings to you as well."
He than smiled at Jinxstar "Quite well thank you. I hope the same for you."
Ashstar greeted Sagestar as well than turned to the conversation
"I believe we should start."
(with leaders now)

Bassthorn nodded to Blackberry
"Nice to meet you."
(medcat group)

Rumbletail is talking to Slatestorm.

Birdstorm and Whiteheart sat near the entrance looking around.

At Gathering:Ashstar,Birdstorm,Bassthorn,Whiteheart,Rumbletail

Ashstar's ears pinned back as the leaders bickered. His tail twitched a bit,betraying

his annoyance.
This was a time for peace he thought not war. Some cats appeared to forget that.
His time had been spent silently studying everyone else and listening to the news.
No one offered Ashstar any alliances or better yet talked to him at all.
As one leader stepped down Ashstar spoke up.
"I would like to go next if nobody minds."
He than stepped forward not waiting for a response...figuring they would ignore him

otherwise.
"I am Ashstar leader of Sootclan. Our clan is well and we thrive with plenty herbs and prey.

We have new warrior Whiteheart,our new deputy Birdstorm, and a our new medicine cat

Bassthorn. We also have Rumbletail our elder to share plenty stories with us all. We would

gladly accept any alliances with other clans if they wish it to be so. I have no more news to

report.Thank you for listening."
Ashstar stepped back and a looked at all the leaders...than paused.
Wait had he just said how few cats he had in his clan?
Ashstar silently cursed himself hoping no cats made the connection.

But it appears being new wasn't a bad thing according to Whisperstar.
However being small to other clans he didn't know was bad.
Ashstar would have to be quick to find new warriors before someone thought his clan was

weak.
'Its ok though'
Ashstar quietly comforted himself that they were far from weak.
His clan was slowly growing.
However the alliance with Iceclan would be welcomed. This she cat seemed nice enough.
"Thank you for your offer Whisperstar,Sootclan accepts your alliance. I look forward to

getting to know your clan better."
Ashstar smiled back

Ashstar whiskers twitched a little and he meowed politely,with a small smile
"We aren't exactly in need of help right now per say. But allies are always welcomed.
I thank you for the offer and ill accept your alliance."

Ashstar was so tired of this. Rumbletail's storys about the tom had gotten ridiculous. Wild

fantasys had been spun about the leader as worst of all is that everybody encouraged it.

Whiteheart was too naive to believe anything Rumbletail told her was a lie. Bassthorn was kind

but too mischievous himself and made things worst by adding on to the stories. Birdstorm was

too busy with deputy duties to stop the stories. This left Ashstar to fend for himself. He

simply couldn't.
Ashstar could never hate Rumbletail. He knew the elder was bored in the almost empty clan

camp and lonely with nobody to talk to. So Ashstar made things easier on the old molly by

letting her tell her wild tales. But did anybody make things easier for him? Ashstar normally

went on patrols by himself to ease the stress.
It was just another day of Sootclan life.
"Did I ever tell you the one about the large bass I caught?"
Rumbletail crowed loudly
Ashstar walked into the elder's den to see all the clan cats around her and sighed
"Later Rumbletail.
Birdstorm take Whiteheart on a patrol.
Bassthorn go to the moonpool and pray for a warrior or queen.
Im going on a patrol by myself...I need to be alone..."
Ashstar than walked out of the den and a voice called from behind him

Ashstar turned around and Birdstorm looked him straight in the face,Whiteheart was near

the deputy looking concerned also.
Who was Ashstar to take away the elders only entertainment?
"Yes im fine. Your duties please."
Birdstorm didn't press him and quietly meowed
"Very well leader."

Ashstar sighed a bit, sitting down in the grassy fields of their forest. He happy to rebuild his

clan up from what was lost, though he could really do without the stress of it all. Who would

have thought he'd need to fight an inside battle... and alone no doubt. His ears swiveled on top

of his head as the sound of rustling in the bushes caught his attention and it seemed to be

getting closer. He got to his paws calmly though he was on alert for anything. The small form

of another cat burst from the bushes running straight into the gray leader. Ashstar looked

down to the cat, no bigger than a kit, though as he opened his maw to speak, it ran behind him

and hid. "Don't let them get me please!"
Ashstar was about to ask who but the sound of pawsteps sounded once again, followed by the

familiar scent of Birdstorm and Whiteheart. "Ashstar! Did you see a cat run past here?"

Whiteheart asked, breathing hard from the running. "Yea. We don't know if it was hostile. It

just suddenly started running." Ashstar looked at the small cat behind him and chuckled at

his clanmates. "I'm sure this little kit is a huge threat," He said sarcastically before turning

to the small cat. "Hey, why don't you come back with me? Don't worry, they are nicer than

they seem." He gestured to Birdstorm and Whiteheart. The little cat peeked out from behind

Ashstar before nodding slowly.
While on patrol, your cats found an Apprentice!


"Can you walk?" Bassthorn asked the she-cat, pressing against her flank as she wobbled a bit

on her paws. After waking up from the Moonpool, he found a queen sleeping beside the fresh

water and knew she was the one Starclan had sent for. "Yes. Thank you." The queen said

after she gained her balance. Bassthorn nodded, but still stayed close as he led her back to

camp.
Starclan has sent you a Queen! She is due in 2 moons

Ashstar stopped suddenly causing Whiteheart to suddenly run into him and fall. "Hey! What

was that about?" She asked, giving him a soft glare as she got up and rubbed her flank.

Ashstar gave her a quick apologetic look before looking back to where he heard the sound.

"You hear that?" Whiteheart pricked her eyes to listen before cat hinges the faint sound.

"Yea. What is it?" Let's find out." The leader alongside his warrior padded through the brush

quietly until their eyes landed on that of another cat, stalking a squirrel. They pounced and

killed it swiftly before purring at their catch. "You ate hunting on Sootclan territory."

Whiteheart his, startling the cat. Ashstar sighed, telling her to settle down before he himself

approached the other cat. "My friend here is right. This is clan territory. Though, it could be

yours too if you joined us." He offered, the cat nodding before being led back to camp by the

two as its newest member.
While on patrol, your cats found a warrior.

Catskitten jan 22:
Bassthorn's felt sick to his stomach.
Ever since Riversong came to camp he had felt strange.
While he was pleased the clan was getting more cats he felt like Starclan was shoving his face

in the dirt. Or maybe he was cursed.
He'd fallen for too many cats before in the past and now those emotions cannot show.
His medicine cat vow comes with many rules.
He must put his clan first and he could never have a family.
The sight of Riversong made the tom's heart hurt...and unfortunately the she cat purposely

hung around the medcat den unknowingly tormenting him.
Riversong laid in the medcat den near his clan's herbs.
"Whats a cute tom like yourself look so sad for?" Riversong asked politely
Great Starclan was she flirting with him? Bassthorn snuffed his illness and coldly replied "I

am fine." Riversong looked disappointed like she expected him to say something else.
"Shouldn't you be in the nursery?" Bassthorn decided to ask,hoping he could get rid of her

quickly
"I can't..." Riversong whispered
"Why not?" Bassthorn replied
"Im too lonely in there." Riversong meowed seriously
Bassthorn said no more and began to sort his herbs. He ignored the queen as she silently

watched him.

-Meanwhile-

"Elkstep! Elkstep!"
Ashstar introduced the tom to the clan.
The new cat looked around camp and nodded seemingly pleased that the small clan was

cheering his name loudly. After the cheering died down Elkstep than excused himself from

the ceremony.
"While im happy to be a warrior for Sootclan I came for one reason." he meowed
He than jumped down from the clan's rock and made his way to over to the medicine cat den.
"Excuse me im looking for a shecat. Ahhh River!
Just as you had told me Starclan sent you to Sootclan.
I didn't think id run into the clan but here i am."
Riversong trilled loudly and wobbled over to Elkstep and head butted him.
"But I thought you'd said that our kits would be better off raised by me."
Riversong meowed loudly,stepping around in her excitement
Bassthorn dropped the herbs he was holding in his mouth and stared as the conversation

continued on without him saying anything.
"Changed my mind. I decided to be here for you and the kits." -Elkstep
"Won't you miss your twolegs?" -Riversong
"Of course but id miss you even more." -Elkstep
Bassthorn than retched and both cats turned and looked at him.
"Oh excuse me stinging nettle. Who is this?" Bassthorn coldly asked
The herbs lay forgotten on the floor.
"And who are you?" Elkstep asked back not ansewring
"This is Bassthorn Elk! Hes the sweetheart that helped me back to camp after I found him."
"Its Elkstep now honey."
"Oh yeah warrior names! They called me Riversong."
"Thats as beautiful as you."
"Daww thanks."
Bassthorn felt even sicker as the couple forgot about him.
Oh how Starclan must hate him. What did he do wrong?
"Bassthorn?" the she cat gasped suddenly distracting Bassthorn from his thoughts
"Yes?" he blinked at her in confusion
"I think the kits are coming." Riversong whispered painfully
"What." Bassthorn than sounded nervious
"I got here in time thank Starclan!" Elkstep meowed loudly
Bassthorn shooed Elkstep out of the medcatden and looked at Riversong.
"Don't worry im here for you."
"Thank you..." The shecat whispered back
Bassthorn silently hated himself and led the queen to a clean bed.
He than mentally prepared himself for the kits.
