ecimated most of the region, rendering many guilds inopera
ble after the ashes cleared. this includes arcanum, a large g
uild whose base burnt down during giratina's rampage. disc
ouraged, hope seems scarce for the surviving arcanum mem
bers until an unlikely aid came to them. lakefield guild, arca
num's bitter rival, offered to open its gates to house arcanu
m for the time being. reluctantly agreeing, who knows what
would unfold when two rivalling guilds and its members are
put under one roof? will they thrive or fall in their animosity?

norkas is dotted with guilds, an association of pokemon who would aid in the daily moveme
nt of the region's society by taking on bounty missions, constituting a great major force beh
ind norkas' wheels!! two of the most prominent guilds are arcanum and lakefield. arcanum i
is known for their rather shady deals, facilitating contraband smuggling, artefacts theft, and
other under the table bounties. arcanum has a bitter rivalry with lakefield, no doubt thanks t
o how lakefield has enacted measures to shrink down norkas' notorious black market, and d
ue to a preexisting estrangement between the respective guilds' leaders. when giratina awak
ened from the distortion world and wreaked havoc in norkas before it was subdued, arcanum
incurred heavy losses and pushed it to the brink of disbandment, prompting lakefield to lend
its helping hand. now having assimilated arcanum into lakefield, the members of the two riv
alling guilds must find a way to put their differences aside and help rebuild norkas!!

the powerful guildmaster of lakefield, famed for her almost legendary tales of bounty mis
sions. the sorceress, along with the dragonslayer, is the founder of lakefield and its respe
cted leader. the sorceress grew up as the runt of her family, teased by her sisters for her
meek demeanour. it wasn’t until she met the dragonslayer that she found her love of adv
entures and helping the weak. ever since then, the rest was history. the sorceress shares
a complicated, long-standing rivalry with leader of the arcana guild: the assassin. their b
attles could last even days on end, with none bearing signs of stopping. if it weren’t for t
he dragonslayer’s ceaseless request to lend a helping hand to arcana when their guild was
destroyed, the sorceress wouldn’t hesitate invoking her psionic bolts once more against t
he assassin

the dragonslayer is the co-founder of lakefield guild and the childhood friend of the sorce
ress. despite his gentle and friendly nature, behind the dragonslayer’s pastel fur beats the
heart of a warrior. he is a fierce fighter, fearless in the face of adversaries, and unrelentin
g in his attacks. the dragonslayer’s inherent desire to help others is what encouraged the s
partan to join lakefield, as the former is the first to see the dragon’s gentle edge behind h
is rough exterior. the dragonslayer and the spartan has since become particularly close, de
spite their contrasting appearances and personalities

the spartan is the fierce front-liner of lakefield, diving in headfirst and reckless in battles
whilst brazenly gnashing his razor fangs and toughened scales. the spartan and his youn
ger brother are orphans, which toughened the former’s outlook in life. once he lost his br
other during a forest fire, the spartan flew into an uncontrollable rampage. it was the dr
agonslayer who eventually came through the ashes and tempered the spartan’s rage, fea
rlessly standing his ground against the latter’s draconian rancor. when his heart was calm,
the dragonslayer offered the spartan a home in lakefield. owing his new life to the dragon
slayer, the spartan is almost always seen by the fairy-type’s side, be it in or outside of mi
ssions


the guardian - female - water or grass-type (e.g. milotic, serperior, roserade)
regal, protective, patient, gentle - user

if the dragonslayer is seen by the younger recruits as the big brother of lakefield, the gua
rdian is seen as its big sister. calm, regal, composed, and well-educated, the guardian ca
me from a family of wealth. but instead of finding solace in her family’s precious stones b
usiness, she finds it in the care for the weak and vulnerable. that is why she decided to j
oin lakefield after traveling to aramos town years ago. the guardian is fiercely protective
over the younger guild members and would often go on bounties with them. as such, she
has grown resentment against the trickster for scaring off such guild members during on
e of the many bounty missions that the guardian oversaw

the assassin is the leader of the now-fallen arcanum guild and a typical face associated wi
th the organisation: brooding, serious, and cunning. the assassin shares a fierce rivalry wit
h the sorceress, lakefield’s guildmaster, and have more than enough times met one anothe
r in the opposite ends of both ideologies and battles. if it wasn’t for the wall’s persuasion
to join forces with lakefield, the assassin would have never even responded to lakefield’s
hand in their time of need. the assassin, although secretly appreciative of the help, is stil
l quiet guarded with lakefield members. but at least she’s got her guild members with her


the wall - male - rock or steel-type (e.g. gigalith, metagross, tyrantrum)
gentle, considerate, placid, selfless - user

co-founder of arcanum. the wall’s rugged, towering, intimidating built hides a soft heart a
nd a friendly demeanour, which makes a stark contrast against his physical appearance. th
e wall is known for jumping in the frontlines of battle, tanking hits before retaliating with
a ground-turning blow. despite this, the wall believes that diplomacy is key and should be
resorted to first before taking the offence. that is why he convinced the assassin to unioni
se with lakefield for the time being until the former could build their way up once more. t
he wall is the mentor to the striker, valuing his loyalty and earnestness to improve


the trickster - female - ghost or poison-type (e.g. froslass, salazzle, chandelure)
fickle, moody, charismatic, clever - user

the trickster is an impish, sociable, and chaotic recruit of arcanum. when others go for full
offence or defence, the trickster focuses on slowly crippling her opponents’ ability to fight
back, allowing for avenues to land a clean, finishing strike for her teammates. the trickster
enjoys playing pranks on others, especially younger recruits. in fact, it was her who foiled
one of lakefield’s junior bounty missions when she scared off the guild’s younger guild mem
bers out of fun, eventually rousing the ire of the guardian. the trickster would thereafter o
ften purposely encounter the guardian in missions for the sake of simply annoying her



the striker - male - fighting-type (e.g. blaziken, gallade, lucario)
loyal, altruistic, solemn, driven - user

one of the newer members of arcanum. the striker was rescued by the wall when he was bu
llied by the other pokemon in his hometown, and has since stuck by the latter’s side, eventu
ally joining arcanum to repay the moral debt that he owed to the wall. the striker is a strate
gist, carefully planning his next attack before even deciding to move an inch. he is often fou
nd meditating in feebas falls or timetell forest. deep inside, he is conflicted with arcanum’s
rather shady agenda, fearing that it may disrupt his virtue of justice. that is why he is possib
ly the most open to the idea of joining with lakefield, hoping that such a union may help him
redeem himself from the dark deals he have made for the sake of arcanum

norkas: the region in which the rp takes place. norkas is a large, mountainous island, w
ith great olden forests, snow-capped mountains, and large lakes. the forecast is usually
sunny and warm, but rainy days would often slip through the warm climate. at nighttim
e, norkas is unusually cold up until midday where the sun shines the highest

lakefield guild: located on the highlands of norkas, lakefield is a large establishment w
ith great staircases overlooking aramos town. lakefield suffered minor damage after gir
atina's awakening, and as such, most of its facilities remain functional to this day

arcanum guild: a large guild which was located in twilit woods. when the woodland bu
rned down, so did the entire guild. now nothing is left but charred remains, but keen-e
yed pokemon may find surviving pieces of gold scattered underneath the ashes

aramos town: the main commercial hub in norkas, a large town of merchants and touri
sts from faraway regions. aramos is dotted with a wide array of shops and markets, wit
h some being open even 24/7. aramos' nightlife is often sought after by the locals, it is
not uncommon for the town to hold festivities all throughout the chilly night

feebas falls: a small, hidden waterfall between norkas' mountainous forests where fe
ebas and various aquatic pokemon would often come to rest

oldmoss forest: an easily-accessible, thoroughly ventured woodland. it is tranquil and i
s sought after by those wishing to escape the busy energy buzzing from aramos town
