It was several hundred years ago when the Great Mage divided his power in
to six pieces. These six pieces, he said, would be the seeds to sprout civiliz
ation all across the continent. His death was greatly mourned, and for an e
ntire month, it rained. The relics were entrusted into the hands of ruling m
onarchs who would pass down the tradition of protecting these sacred trea
sures onto their descendants. Some of these relics, with the passing of tim
e, became lost. Every now and then, they resurface, and the hunt is on.

Most of the rich verdant lands of Veteris is governed by the Nation of Firm
a. To the east, you'll find endless pastures, and mainly rural towns and vill
ages. Down farther west is the wealthy capital city of Vita, nick-named th
e "crowned jewel of Veteris". It is home to the royal family who presides o
ver Firma. Their eldest child is due to be wed soon.

Thybris is located near the east coast of Veteris under the ocean. The oce
anic kingdom of Thybris is home to the Etherians who are not particularly
fond of outsiders, specifically, the people of Firma. Firmian fishermen are
constantly encroaching on their territory. Etherians are characterized by t
heir shimmering scales dotting their skin, and their innate ability to breat
he underwater. Their city is only accessible with permission from the Thyb
ris government, who will supply a special native herb to allow underwater
breathing. Their kingdom has a magical barrier that protects it from invad
ing forces.

The Sicilian people were said to be descendants of gods. They lived in rela
tive isolation up until the last few decades where Firma technology enable
d them to travel by air. Trade and relations have been steady between the
two ever since. Sicilia has many temples, and magical artifacts on their flo
ating city. Their people are known to be particularly gifted with magic.

There are 6 known artifacts created from the Great Mage's power. Each one specializes in a different form of magic, and are listed below. There are rumors of a seventh relic, but nothing of it has been written in ancient literature. Relics bind itself to a single owner, and gifts them with powerful magic. This makes relics particularly hard to steal. If the owner is killed, the relic will fall into a dormant state until its next master.

𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐫

- Lantern of Incandescence; a gold lantern with intricately carved designs. It's currently in the possession of Firma's crown prince. The lantern is said to grant those who stare into its flames a possible vision of the future. The owner of the lantern has access to its divine flames that cannot be doused by ordinary means.

- Goblet of Reverence; a beautifully ornate goblet decorated with seashells and jewels. It's currently in the possession of Thybris's crown prince/princess. Any who drink from it will have their wounds healed indefinitely. It cannot reanimate the dead, however. The owner of the goblet has access to its divine waves that can cut even the earth itself.

- Flute of Lullabies; a gorgeous wooden flute with a red tassel attached to the end. It's currently in the Sicilian emperor's personal reliquary. Those who hear its song, with the exception of its owner will fall into a deep slumber. The owner of the flute will have access to its divine winds that can shake even the heavens.

𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐬

- Halo of Sunlight; a lavishly embellished crown with a stunning yellow gem in the center. It's whereabouts are currently unknown. Those who wear the halo are said to gain immeasurable wisdom. The owner of the halo will have access to its divine light that can slice through even the inkiest of darkness.

- Lunar bracelets of Night; a pair of silver bracelets with a large sapphire adorning each one. It's whereabouts are currently unknown. Those who wear the bracelet gain immortality. The owner of the bracelets will have access to its divine darkness that can swallow even the brightest of light. Rumor says the emperor of Sicilia has these bracelets.

- Mirror of Endless Reflections; a golden mirror that can change its shape depending on its owner's wishes. Its whereabouts are currently unknown. Its powers and properties are currently unknown.
