- the short version of the plot. all the tales and myths of vampires and werewolves not getting along is all in the past. a coven of vampires and a pack of werewolves live in peace in a small village. the humans are still unaware that they live among supernatural beings. however, in the past decade both the pack and coven have been battling with a deadly disease. it's killed several members of both sides. the disease doesn't affect humans, but is deadly to both vampires and werewolves.
death. it engulfs everything in it's sight, never satisfied. always has to have more. they call it the death spell because there is no cure. once you've been kissed by death himself you're a goner. both vampire and werewolf alike are susceptible to falling ill to this death spell. many already have. it's driven both sides mad, even to the point where they have killed suspected ill members. the vampires and werewolves are now at war at their most vulnerable moment. what they need to do is to work together to figure out a cure, if there even is one. instead they will fight until their last breath leaves their body.
the sickness is literally death taking over your body. first symptoms start off as a simple head cold. headache, stuffy nose, congestion, coughing, and sneezing. next is severe fatigue and exhaustion. all your muscles will ache and feel like their on fire. some even go rabid and attack people for no reason. clearly those with the sickness are highly dangerous and unpredictable. finally, excruciating pain and you'll bleed from your eyes and nose. slowly you'll bleed out and die. the sickness is very contagious to those who carry the supernatural gene. however, there are a few immune to the sickness which brings in a whole new set of questions.
