It just appeared one day. The letter. Brought to you by one of the Legendary Pokemon. You had never seen a Legendary up close before, and yet you felt compelled nonetheless to take the letter.

Dear __________

We have been following your progress through our world quite closely. You have been chosen for a reason. Your skills show great potential. Perhaps you are not quite there yet, but we have faith that one day soon... you will be. And because of this, we ask you take care of this Pokemon. It is a Legendary, as we are sure you must already know. If you treat it with the respect it deserves and take it in as your own, it will fight beside and protect you. When the time comes, we will call on you again. But until then, we wish you the best. But beware, many tests lay ahead. The bond that you form with this Pokemon will be tested time and time again. People will try to steal it. How you two cooperate will prove whether or not you have what it takes to be in our Program. I am sorry I cannot say anymore at this time... as I am sure you have a lot of unanswered questions. I hate to ask this of you, as you do not know me. But please, trust in me and in your new Pokemon. For neither of us will fail you. Until next time...

And that's it. no other further explanation is given. You look at your new Pokemon and it looks at you. After a moment, you take out a Pokeball. For better or worse, this Pokemon will now be accompanying you on your journey. Several years pass. You've had good times and bad. You've reached some goals and failed others miserably. You almost forget about the letter, about how you came to capture your legendary Pokemon. Until now. Another letter comes via Dragonite. This one is short and to the point.

the plot
So basically, a bunch of kids (round 13-15 years of age, were selected by a young girl named Sienna. Sienna will be played by me! no one else. she is mainly a side character, but she is also the most powerful person in the roleplay (think of the little girl Entei kinda adopted in the movie lol). Sienna is a Princess in another dimension and the only portal into that dimension is at the address she provided in her second letter (it's an old fortress-like castle). Basically her dimension is in peril and she needs the selected trainers to help save her world. And no, they don't really get a choice because the second they are all there, they are sucked through the portal and can't leave until Sienna allows them to. She basically controls every aspect of her world. Each trainer will have one Legendary and a six non Legendary Pokemon (ask before making one a Shiny) for a total of 7 Pokemon in all (or less if you really want). There will be NO repeat Pokemon, sorry. Sienna can basically conjure up any Pokemon so don't worry if you copy one of HER Pokemon. In Sienna's World, Pokemon can talk. I will get pictures up as soon as I can. But if you have any questions feel free to PM me and ask.

Tess's Rules;; As you should all know, Tess's Rules Apply. If you don't know them, please go read them! They're pretty much common sense anyway.

Literacy;; This will be a High Semi Literate Roleplay. That means I want proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Five Lines per post with Writer's Block. Eight without. Also, make your posts and forms pretty. You can't use excuses like 'but I'm on my phone/tablet/other mobile device' either. I make forms and roleplays on my phone and Kindle ALL the time. In fact, I am rarely able to get on a computer as mine was stolen. If I can do it, so can you.

Reservations;; You can reserve characters and even Pokemon if you want. but Reservations should ONLY be sent to me through Private Message. No excuses. I don't want to see any reservations on the Discussion or Form Threads. Reservations last 24 Hours. I know I usually give more time but then people never make their forms. so, 24 Hours with a 12 Hour Extension if needed. After that, your reservation(s) will be removed.

Characters;; I will allow you to have two characters each. But if you make two, they HAVE to be opposite genders or two males. No, you can't have two females. The only exception to this rule is me, because i am playing Sienna, the soon-to-be villain of this story. Also, I want personalities to vary. No perfect characters please. that's just boring.

Pokemon Team;; Okay, so now onto Pokemon Teams. As I stated previously each team will consist of seven Pokemon; six regular Pokemon and one Legendary one. In this Roleplay, there will be no 'levels'. Any move a Pokemon can learn, either naturally or through TM/HM, it can do. that being said, you can have a small list of moves it uses most often as a reference.

Activity;; Please try to post at least twice a week, although I would prefer you post every day. If you are going to be gone for an extended period of time, message me. if you disappear without notfication within one week, I will issue your first strike. A week later, you will get a second strike. And a week later, if I still haven't gotten a response, you will be removed.

Forms;; Forms should be pretty and as detailed as possible! I want you to make your own forms but if you absolutely can't, I will make one for you. You will just have to send me the required infoo so that I can code it appropriately.

Relationships;; This isn't really a romance roleplay, but romance is always welcome in my roleplay. However, no children sorry. because they were 13-15is when the first letter arrived, they should be around 16-19 in this roleplay. Just remember to keep it PG 13 at most. Fade to Black if you have to go "there".

Other;; Other than the rules above, all you need to really know is no cussing. hell and Damn are okay, but try not to use any other words and if you do, star it out, please. Please do NOT bump this thread. i will bump it. I want to be able to keep this thread clean so I can delete the bumps when I am ready to start. Do not rp until a) you are accepted and b) the roleplay had begun. Post all forms on the Application Thread. All out of character talk should take place on the Discussion Thread. Please make sure to look over this before deciding on your Pokemon because I WILL be updating this and I WILL make you choose different Pokemon. If one Pokemon in a set is taken, that means all of them are taken as they can and will evolve UNLESS it's something like Eevee which can change into a number of different Pokemon or Vulpix which requires a Firestone to Evolve and other situations like that. I will also allow several people to have Everstones so the Pokemon can't evolve but this is a very rare case. Just talk to me first, please. In cases like these, I will strike out the taken ones and leave the open one. An example of this is my character Izzy has a Quilava, but isn't planning on evolving him so Typhlosion will be open until someone claims it. When it comes to Eevee, I will allow 10 in all. One to stay an Eevee, and one for each of it's eeveelutions. Once all are stricken I will allow no more.

Sienna's world is beautiful. Nobody could doubt that. Rolling green hills, sprawling meadows, a regal mountain range complete with a pristine, crystal clear lake, and a floating palace make up this beautiful dimension. Here, Pokemon run free. There are no trainers which is why when Team Rocket stumbled across it, they easily stepped in and took over. What's more, Pokemon can speak. They are incredibly intelligent creatures each with a personality of it's own.

the Town; located on the ground, this is where the commoners and most non-flying Pokemon live unless they were brought up to the floating city for whatever reason. Despite it's peaceful appearance, it is a dangerous place for it is surrounded by a forest filled with rather temperamental Pokemon.

the Meadow; is such a pristine and relaxed place. Located a few miles outside of the small town where the villagers live it is filled with sweet, friendly Pokemon. But the flowers are very dangerous and their scent could knock out a Ursaring, it's so powerful. Try not to sniff them unless you want to take a very, very long nap plagued with horrible nightmares. The Pokemon who live here have developed an immunity to the scent.

the Mountains/Lake; also located on the ground level, the mountain is a breathtaking sight from the southernmost part of the town. It is a lovely place during the day, as is the lake. But at night the darker, more viscous Pokemon emerge. It's not a place you want to go at night.

the Floating City; the Floating City is located high up in the mountains surrounded by the forest and huge waterfalls. It is home to the rich and noble. most flying type Pokemon and a select few non flying Pokemon (usually chosen for their cuteness to decorate Princess Sienna's floating gardens) live here.

the Floating Garden; the gardens are on a series of small, floating islands a few levels above the floating city. Each garden is unique and more beautiful than the other. The highest ranking nobles are allowed into some of the smaller ones, but the largest and most beautiful of all (pictured here) is reserved for Sienna only and an elite group of gardeners. here, her favorite Pokemon roam freely for her to play with as she pleases.

the Floating Palace; and finally, located high above the town, the floating city, and the floating gardens, isolated from anyone who would dare disturb her, is the floating palace, Sienna's safe haven. Few, aside from her servants, are allowed to enter the grounds. It is a beautiful but lonely place to live.

Isabella Rose Hathaway

The silver maned Rapidash pranced in place, uneasiness radiating from every fiber of his being. The girl sitting astride his back felt no such uneasiness. She stared up at the old structure with barely concealed disgust. To most, the castle could be described as beautiful... in an old sort of way. Made of stone and complete with crawling ivy, a moat and drawbridge, and imposing turrets... it was something straight out of a storybook. The kind of place that one might imagine a Princess was locked away in a tower, guarded by a ferocious dragon while she awaited her dashing Prince Charming. But... this wasn't that story. In this tale, Isabella considered herself to be the Princess. But she was no damsel in distress. No, she was confident in her ability to fight her own battles. Leaning forward, she patted her Pokémon's side reassuringly then urged him forward.

The sound of his hooves against the old, half rotten planks of the drawbridge seemed to boom in the eerie silence and she began to wonder if she was in the right place. Dash certainly didn't like this place. Reaching for her belt, she selected one of the small, round objects settled there and clicked the button at it's center. Instantly, the object expanded until it fit perfectly in the palm of her hand. The Pokéball was almost all white, with a strip of red around the middle and around the small button at its centre. Alright, Lily. Take a look around for me, will you? The young woman murmured the the ball, tossing it into the air. The Pokéball opened and released a glowing red light into the the air. The light hovered there for a moment while the ball returned to it's owner, twisting and turning until finally, it faded and was replaced by a Pokémon with soft pink fur and big, baby blue eyes. The Pokémon yawned and stretched, floating drowsily in the aor for a moment, then floated off to investigate their location.

Confident in Lily's ability, Isabella turned back to the castle and slowly slid from Rapidash's back. Returning Lily's Pokéball to her belt, she selected another one and clicked the centre. Dash, return. She commanded, and watched as the Pokémon was returned safely to the confines of his Pokéball. Just like she had with Lily's, she returned the Pokéball to her belt. The fashionable, pink and white striped bow (which doubled as a belt to cinch the outfit at her waist and hold her Pokéballs) went well with her knee-length dress. The top was white with horizontal, pale pink stripes while the skirt was a dark pinkish hued purple with pale pink ruffles. The whole ensemble was tied together with pale pink stockings, shiny black flats, and a pale pink headband (complete with a small bow).

Long ago, Izzy had made it her life's mission to always look her best no matter what the situation or occasion. Normally, this wasn't an issue. She rarely had reason to leave the city unless it was to preform in another city or town and even then, she was more often than not flown in. Now, she had only room for several outfits that she could mix and match and a few essentials. She missed her high end, luxury apartment already. Izzy shifted her gaze towards the castle once more and wrinkled her nose. And why was she here instead of at homr anyway? Answers.... The voice in her head said immediately. She wanted-no-she needed answers. Who was this Sienna character... and why had she sent Lily and the two letters? What was her game plan? Why give a perfect stranger such a valuable Pokémon? She was here to find out. And once she had, she would return home and continue on with the fabulous lifestyle she had carved out for herself back in Luminose City.

So focused on her thoughts was she, that Isabella didn't notice the doors creak open right away. When she did, a wave of nervousness washed through her before she pushed it away. It was a prank, of course. Doors, even old ones like this, didn't just open. Lily was likely behind this. Stepping through the doorway, she was surprised to see that despite the dusty interior and the old fashioned furnishings, the castle had a modern lighting system. Above her swung a huge, glittering crystal chandelair; before her, a grand staircase led up and up and up until it disappeared behind a bend in the wall. She was no more than six steps into the room when, with an eerie creak and a bang, the door slammed shut behind her once more.

Izzy jumped, startled, and glanced nervously behind her but resisted the urge to reach for one of her Pokéballs. H-hello? Is... is anybody there? She called, grimacing slightly as her voice bounced and echoed throughout the cavernous room. When nobody answered, she took several more steps into the room. To the left, a large doorway opened up into what appeared to be the main ballroom. She could see a dusty but beautiful Grand Piano in pale ivory sitting in one vorner of the room on a low stage.

To the right, there was another doorway. This appeared to lead to a hallway that wound deeper into the castle's ground level. Taking a deep breath, she branched off that way. She needed to find Lily and fast. Deciding a little confort could do no har, she selected one of her Pokéballs (this one pale pink and purple) and released a small, doglike Pokémon with markings similar to that of a Bengal Tiger's. The Growlithe, aptly and affectionately nicknamed Growlie, wagged his tail and gave a soft, Woof! She smiled, already feeling a bit better.

Let's go investigate, Growlie. Surely there must be a clue around here somewhere.

[Nocturnal Creatures]

It had been a pretty regular day, or at least regular in the life of a Pokemon trainer. At least is had been till she received another letter from the mysterious Sienna who had sent her Latios all those many years ago. Now Chelsea was here, in this mysterious and yet eerily beautiful world. She has made her way to the address named in the letter, more out of curiosity than anything else, wanting to meet the mysterious girl who had contacted her many years back. When she and her Pokemon had arrived at the rather run down looking castle she had felt a sense of foreboding, like something wasn't quite right with the place. Her Pokemon had felt it to, Strider who had been beside her as they approached had begun to growl and snarl, out of fear perhaps, tugging at her trousers trying to get her to turn away. If only she had listened then maybe she would be back in her own world instead of wherever she was now. Now she stood alone, not sure of where she was or of what was going on. Surrounding her was a thick swathe of trees and by the coldness of the air she figured that she must be somewhere up high.

Deciding that she needed a better look at her surroundings, and that she needed companionship as she looked around, she released Latios and Clint. "Latios can you please take a look around up there and come back down to me if you notice anything strange?" She said watching him as he nodded at her and sped off, up through the canopy above her head. Now she walked along, heading up, feeling something pulling her up that way. Clint, her Lucario, walked alongside her, silent as always, he was her quietest Pokemon yet she knew that he was one of her most reliable, she hadn't found him, he had come to her. They shared a special bond, unlike the bond she shared with any of her other Pokemon, that was why she had chosen to send him out. She needed the company of someone she shared a close bond with. The silence around them was bothering her, surely in a forest like this there should be many Pokemon about, Pokemon that would normally make noise, yes, she was feeling uncomfortable at the silence around her.

The wind blew across the moor, whistling through the rotting planks of the drawbridge as Cass and Xerneas strode calmly towards the castle. It was slowly darkening as the sun dipped below the horizon, but the girl and her pokemon weren't bothered. Xerneas always held about him a soft glow that could repel even the strongest of fears. As they approached the castle, Cass stopped to take in the sight. "Gothic architecture, strong foundation. It's quite beautiful, really," she murmured, looking up at the structure. She placed a hand on Xerneas's soft blue fur. "Whoever sent us here must be quite the history buff."

Pushing the heavy wooden doors open, Cass strode into what looked like an old entrance hall. The light was dim, and dust covered all of the surfaces. I guess no one lives here, Cass thought, looking around. But why choose here as a meeting place? Cass had wondered such things about the mysterious Sienna for quite some time now, and though she had thought she had drawn some conclusions, each new letter or summons the mysterious writer had thrown at her had sent her down a new path of quandary.

Lost in her thought, Cass hardly noticed the other girl of a similar age to her own standing in the hall. Xerneas softly nudge her shoulder, pulling her out of her reverie. As soon as Cass saw the fiery-haired girl, Cass looked down at her own clothes. They were simple; a black blouse tucked neatly into a red skirt with black stockings and flats. She had a neat bow tie and of course her favorite red hat. But this other girl was dressed to impress. Cass felt slightly underdressed for the occasion, and hoped the newcomer didn't notice. Xerneas nudged her again. He was always more social than she, and pushed her to make new friends. But Cass was still wary. Pulling a poke ball from her bag, Cass pressed the little button at the center, releasing a soft beam of light that glowed briefly and transformed into her Sylveon, Vee.

Leaving Xerneas at the door, Cass walked towards the other girl, Vee winding around her ankles like a cat. "Excuse me, but do you know exactly what we are doing here?" Cass asked softly, trying not to be too intrusive. She was taking details in at an extraordinarily fast rate, and when she did this, she was usually able to draw conclusions. But this time, although there were many details to observe, Cass couldn't exactly make them all add up. And Xerneas, however annoying his tendency to be so, was right. She needed to ask for help rather than try to take it all in herself.

The little Sylveon at her feet, however, was not so friendly. Her silky tendrils wrapped themselves around Cass' black stockings and she flattened her ears at the Growlithe at the other girls feet. Her cheeks reddening, Cass knelt beside her pokemon. "I'm sorry if she spooks you pokemon. Vee can be a little...protective," Cass said apologetically. She stroked the Sylveon's head, trying to calm her down. Vee, I don't want to have to put you away, but could you please behave? she thought, frowning.

Jay watched the sky rush by as he flew through the air, seated comfortably on the back of his Dragonite, Peach. He looked down at the ground, watching trees and the occasional pokemon rush by. "Land there, please," he said, gesturing to a small clearing of trees a few meters away from the great, albeit rundown castle. He wanted to take a minute to sort of take in his surroundings before bursting through the doors. As Peach thumped down on the ground, Jay slid down off the large pokemon and rested his hand on the trunk of a tree. A castle... he thought, staring up at the ivy-covered walls. This Sienna girl must really have it made.

Jay began to walk towards the door, looking at the stars that littered the sky. Glancing at Peach, both trainer and pokemon realized that such a giant pokemon would not in any way come close to fitting through the wooden doors. Retrieving a pokeball from his belt, Jay called for Peach to return. Grasping another pokeball, Jay quietly murmured, "Buisel, I choose you." From the flash of light that emerged, a little orange weasel appeared. "Hey, Torro," he said, reaching down to ruffle the little animal's fur. It chirped back a loving response, and the two started down the path towards the castle.

However, before they could get far, Jay noticed a rustle in the trees somewhere off to his left. "Hello? Is anyone there?" he called, turning his gaze away from the castle. Torro growled, whipping his tail back and forth. Jay looked towards the noise and caught sight of a lucario wandering through the trees. Just barely visible past the bipedal pokemon was a girl, roughly the same age as Jay.

Always the social butterfly, Jay made the first stab at conversation. "Hey!" he said, jogging towards the girl. "Are you here for Sienna too?" he asked, stopping for a moment to catch his breath. "I'm Jay, by the way," he said, holding out a hand for the girl to shake. Jay wasn't at all intimidated by the girl's lucario, nor was he intimidated by her almost shy demeanor. But Jay wouldn't really have called it shy, per se. It was more like guarded. He could understand that, but being the person he was, he had a hard time leaving it alone.

Chelsea heard movement off to one side of her and she turned to see a guy, about her age, running towards her with a Buizel running along side him. She glanced at Clint who met her gaze steadily. As the guy stopped in front of her he began to speak, she wasn't the best at making small talk but at the mention of Sienna she perked up, obviously she wasn't the only one who had been called here.
"Yeah, yeah she did ask me to come her. Name's Chelsea." She responded to him, reaching out and shaking his hand. She didn't want to appear shy, she certainly wasn't, she just preferred her own company. Clint looked down at the Buizel, a Pokemon much smaller than himself and then looked up at the other trainer and waited to see what he would do. Chelsea was about to speak again when she heard a harsh cry above her and looked up to see Latios diving down towards her, putting himself between her and the other trainer. She rubbed his neck trying to calm him down and then turned back to the other trainer as she walked in front of Latios,
"And this is Latios, always one for making a dramatic entrance." She said with Latios releasing a cry as she spoke of him, "Any idea why Sienna wants us here? I know that there is a castle up ahead but I don't know whether to enter or not." She said, wondering if perhaps he knew more than she did. She kept one hand firm on Latios' side, trying to calm him down, his protectiveness was good but a little over the top. The castle intimidated her, old and rustic, it had a rather creepy air about it and she hadn't really known how to feel about it. Could she really trust this Sienna girl? She honestly didn't know and knew she wouldn't unless she went in to find her. Clint had proceeded to walk over to one of the trees and lean with his back against the tree as he watched the two trainers interactions.
