Running from the monsters was getting a little nuts
and annoying. I looked down at my lion who was almost
racing against me to find shelter. Her long, rough tongue
sticking out the side of her mouth. Her orange fur glistening
in the faint sunlight. I could hear the monsters behind us
just before the two of us lunged up into an abandoned
building; I slammed the door behind us. After locking the
door, I laid my hand on the top of Nikita's head. I heard her
loud purr and felt her vibrate underneth me from the power
of her purr. I rubbed her head gently before moving to the
corner of the room. I sat down and ran my fingers through
my knotted hair.
