For as long as anyone can remember, a... mutation has been taking over the humans. Turning them into hybrids, in a great diversity of creatures, from fish to lions, from wargs to dragons. Yes, I said that right. Fantasy creatures. When the mutation took place, hundreds of thousands of them came to earth. Dragons, demons, gnolls, trolls, giants, lycanthropes, the lot. And magic. That, that must be the start of it all.

The reason they mutate is because of The Virus. When magic came into this world, it was a break in space and time, creating a magical Virus. Not all humans have been infected with the mutation. the ones that are are trying to find a cure. They join the W.C.L. (world cleansing league). They believe that if they kill all magic users, all magical creatures, and all hybrids, then they can start anew. (ooc note: for all of you people who watch the Shannara Chronicles, and are thinking "Hey these dudes sound a lot like The Crimson. Yes, they are.)

We are The resistance. A group of hybrids, magic users, and magical creatures. We strive to protect the new world. We are the new hope. We are one.

Our home is a place where hybrids can live in harmony. We accept all kinds, no exceptions. We exist so that the hybrids can live in harmony together. Everyone is different, and no one is perfect. We're all still people, after all.

RULES

1. Follow all CS rules
2. Be polite, and use correct grammar. No "txt talk" please!
3. It's best that if you have more than one character, they cannot interact.
4. Drama is strongly encouraged, but PLEASE get the other person's permission before you kill/harm their character
5. We're trying to have an even number of male and female characters.

7. No one is perfect, as I said. No overpowered characters either! If you have a character with strong magic, then make sure they have a very impactful weakness.
8. Please have a detailed post, for other's benefit. And be ACTIVE, please. I'm on all the time, so I'm bored a lot.

10. Please draw your character on your form using Oekaki or another digital painting system. You may find a face claim, but please try to make a drawing of your character so we can see what they ACTUALLY look like!

12. Your hybrid character can be anything from a furry (though try to avoid it) to a human with animalistic characteristics. (You CAN have a character like a Yaun-Ti or a half-dragon, since this is a fantasy/sci-fi RP. They do count as hybrids!)
13. You can have as many characters as you can handle, but please no more than 3.
14. All monster rules would be in D&D rules, minus the dice. If you have the Monster Manuel, feel free to bring it out! While you do not require it, you can also search it up on D&D Beyond. (Examples: Metallic dragon/ Chromatic dragon rivalries and stats, Alignments, cont. All elemental dragons (like Night, Water, Fire, ect.) can be any alignment you want, and the D&D dragons should lean towards their natural alignment.)

Area Layout
We've taken account in how you may get lost on your first day... So we've provided you with a map! Our Safe Haven is really safe; Our walls are impenetrable, fireproof, and bulletproof! Every month, our students get $100 of allowance.

Cafe
A very nice place, much like a real restaurant! You can get foods from around the world, we have everything, and they're made by our top chefs! We have comfortable seating, nice staff, and anything you could wish for!

Dorms
Every student gets their own space to decorate! Our mattresses and pillows are stuffed with pegasus down, so it fells like your personal cloud!

Rooftop
A large, open place with yet another cafe! A magical dome surrounds it so it never rains up there! It's also a great place for our winged friends to stretch their wings and fly! There's a balcony on every hallway, and in the dorms so you can fly up there, and a staircase leading up to there.

Library
A wonderful, large place with every book you could ever want! Our books are enchanted to have text in whatever language you prefer.

Rooftop Pool
Also on the rooftop is a gigantic pool! Saltwater, so that your eyes don't sting! Several spaces, including a lap pool, a deep pool for our aquatic friends, a shallow pool, and a Tiki misting area, and more. There are underwater tunnels leading to each one, they're short, don't worry!

Schools of Magic to Study:
Pick one of these to study, please! You can also have innate magic, in which case, please list the spells in your Form.

Abjuration spells are protective in nature, though some of them have aggressive uses. They create magical barriers, negate harmful effects, harm trespassers, or banish creatures to other planes of existence.

Conjuration spells involve the transportation of objects and creatures from one location to another. Some spells summon creatures or objects to the caster’s side, whereas others allow the caster to teleport to another location. Some conjurations create objects or effects out of nothing.

Divination spells reveal information, whether in the form of secrets long forgotten, glimpses of the future, the locations of hidden things, the truth behind illusions, or visions of distant people or places.

Enchantment spells affect the minds of others, influencing or controlling their behavior. Such spells can make enemies see the caster as a friend, force creatures to take a course of action, or even control another creature like a puppet.

Evocation spells manipulate magical energy to produce a desired effect. Some call up blasts of fire or lightning. Others channel positive energy to heal wounds.

Illusion spells deceive the senses or minds of others. They cause people to see things that are not there, to miss things that are there, to hear phantom noises, or to remember things that never happened. Some illusions create phantom images that any creature can see, but the most insidious illusions plant an image directly in the mind of a creature.

Necromancy spells manipulate the energies of life and death. Such spells can grant an extra reserve of life force, drain the life energy from another creature, create the undead, or even bring the dead back to life.

Creating the undead through the use of necromancy spells such as animate dead is not a good act, and only evil casters use such spells frequently. THIS SCHOOL OF MAGIC IS FORBIDDEN TO ALL STUDENTS

Transmutation spells change the properties of a creature, object, or environment. They might turn an enemy into a harmless creature, bolster the strength of an ally, make an object move at the caster’s command, or enhance a creature’s innate healing abilities to rapidly recover from injury.
