they call them the blinded, sightless ones, or sometimes just hunters.
they're bipedal alien-looking creatures, with long, lanky bodies and li
mbs. they have large and protuberant heads, with little dents where
eyes should be. they have highly developed ears, which just look like
holes, but they can hear a pin drop from miles away. voices can be h
eard halfway across the world, and creaky floorboards are a big haza
rd. additionally, the hunters have dozens of sharp teeth designed for
ripping flesh. a long, retractable tongue with more teeth inside their
throats shoot out at incredible speeds to snatch their prey. they also
possess sharp claws and long tails with a large spike at the tip, perfe
ct for stabbing. finally, the blind monsters can run up to four hundre
d miles per hour, so running is pointless.
so far, nothing seems to even weaken the blinded. bullets sink into th
e monsters' rubbery flesh, and then pop out. fire does nothing, and n
o one has ever gotten close enough to one to stab it. it's believed tha
t there is a weak spot in the upper back, but it's almost impossible to
hit. these monsters, which can stand up to fourteen feet when fully g
rown, are the perfect hunters, and their population is slowly growing.
