What if fairytales weren't just that? Just tales? What if all the stories you heard; Red Riding Hood, Hansel And Gretel, Jack And The Beanstalk, all of the Grimm stories, nearly, were reality? What if witches, werewolves, giants, trolls, faeries- just about anything you can imagine- were all real? Well, here's a newsflash: They are. Creatures aren't just a tale anymore. Werewolves stalk the night. Giants seclude themselves and kill anything that comes near. Trolls stay in the woods and steal livestock when they get hungry. Witches kidnap any children that stray too far away from town. Faeries play little tricks on people and cause trouble. Plus there are more creatures, anything you can even begin to fathom, so many that it would take hours to name them all. And in the confines of the single village that lies at the edge of this Enchanted Forest... Nobody is safe.

Rules

- As much as I disagree with some of them, all of Tess's rules must apply

- No god-modding/powerplaying/perfect characters

- Try to keep genders even, if you please

-Please, no anime pictures. It's very difficult for other players to visualize an anime character into a real person(Or at least, it is for me).

- You can kill a character, but only if you ask my permission; If the character is played by someone else then you must ask them as well

- Keep it kid friendly; I love gore myself, but keep it down, and any sexual scenes must either be time-skipped or taken to PM

- I won't put a minimum on the number of lines per post, but please, for the love of god, keep good grammar. Capitalization, spelling, punctuation, etc. are all very important

- If you go inactive for over a week without warning, you will be deleted. Now if you return with an excuse I find acceptable (I understand if you were grounded and couldn't inform us that you would be gone) I'll let you back in, but only once. If it happens again you'll be banned. (Well, that is if I can keep track of it myself. I'm a very disorganized person)

- Speaking of, if you fail to follow these rules, you will be banned. If banned, there in no coming back.

- I will appoint a mini-mod if I feel that person is responsible enough to take on the role. These people will be damn near as powerful as I am so you must listen to them.

- Cursing is okay, as long if you star it out. Damn, hell, and easy things like that are okay by themselves, though

- I can change/add/take off any rules whenever I feel like it.

The Layout

Deep in the recesses of a land filled with magic and myth, there is one large forest that is seemingly more intimidating than everything else in the land.
At the furthest edge of it, in the corners of the land, not far from the sea, is a small village that is mostly inhabited by simple, small-town folk.
On the complete opposite side of the wood is a large range of mountains, nearly completely cutting this region off from the rest of the world.
Just below the mountains is a large, well-known and well-feared cave, rumored by many to be haunted with viscous creatures.
In the middle of the forest, at the end of an overgrown path, there lies a serene waterfall, though few ever dare venture far enough into the trees to actually find it, which is why not very many people are aware of the fact that behind one of the falling sheets of water, there is a cave hidden in the spray, seen only by the sharpest eyes.
Overall, life is very dangerous. Human hate mythical creatures, and vice versa. Each with reason; species have been at each other's throats for ages, and there have been heavy casualties on each side. Peace is craved, yet it seems that everyone is far too proud to ever admit to being wrong. Hopefully, things will change...

(Okay, in the previous one I had a bit of a problem with this, so I'm going to address this now:
The time period in this roleplay is not modern, instead being much more Colonial-like. It would be hard to name an actual era from real life, but the technology and such would be quite similar to and will be referenced from things like Skyrim, Game Of Thrones/A Song Of Ice And Fire, Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters, etc. If there are any questions, feel free to ask.)

Name: Trinity Spade

Personality: Trinity is a bit hard to explain. She doesn't do very well with people at all, and trusts no one but her brother, Ash. The best way to explain her is to say that she probably has some form of Asberger's; she prefers to keep to herself, and she has her own strict set of morals that she judges people on, deciding whether or not to tolerate them. If provoked, she may react violently, stay completely emotionless, or even break down and cry. She loves to draw, and once she gets started on a drawing, it can be extremely difficult to pull her away from it. It's as if she transports to a whole different world inside her head.
Description: Trinity is of average height, but what's normal about her body is always made up for by something weird. She's scarily skinny, her ribs visible even when she's not pulling her stomach in. It's odd, since she doesn't starve or anything, she's just like that naturally. She has natural straight black hair, and relatively pale skin. Her eyes are a dark brown, almost black.

Self-Defense Preference: She carries a dagger on her waist at all times, especially when traveling to the well or going to the outskirts of town.

Personality: Ash is a relatively sweet kid, always looking out to do what he believes is best. He loves to make people happy, though he is aware of a lost cause when he sees one. Like a typical big brother, he is fiercely protective of his sister, Trinity, and shares a very close brother-sister bond with her. Despite his outgoing exterior, he knows hardship underneath, but decides not to let it show because he knows that moping around gets him nowhere.
Description: Ash is almost of a tall kid, about six feet tall. He is of average build, a bit skinny but with slight lean muscles. He, like his sister, has straight black hair and brown eyes, though his eyes are not as dark as hers.
Sexual Orientation: Gay.
Self-Defense Preference: Ash keeps a crossbow,once his father's, often slung across his back if he's out, or propped up next to his bed while he's indoors.

Personality: Hunter is a bit of a bitter person. He stays secluded, only ever going around any other living creatures when he has to, like to hunt. He hates humans with a burning desire due to his parents being killed when he was just a kid since they were also wolves like him. Sarcastic doesn't even begin to describe this guy, and when he does ever make contact with humans or other creatures he makes sure that it's as unpleasant as possible for them.
Description: Hunter is taller than most people, about 6'3" tall, towering over the average man his age. He isn't super muscular, but he definitely isn't skinny. He mainly has lean muscles, and is quite strong from living out in the woods. He has straight dark brown hair, almost black, and crystal blue eyes. He has the ability to change into his wolf form at will, though also experiences a forced change at every full moon, in which he becomes more feral-acting than ever.

Species: Witch
Personality: Shadow is... different. She changes a lot. She can easily be happy, or angry, and all within short times of each other. She is entirely engrossed in her magick and studies almost all the time, and loves to learn new things. Animals seem to love her almost instantly, and she tends to help them at times. She avoids humans only because she knows that they'd burn her on a stake if they found her, and if they didn't persecute witches so much Shadow would gladly enter the town, since humans and their way of life fascinate her greatly.
Description: Shadow is actually tall for a girl, about 5'10". She is of average build, though more on the skinny side from living in the wild. She has somewhat wavy dark hair and light brown eyes.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual.
Do You Attack Humans?: No, she'd rather study them.
Living Area: A small shack hidden deep in the woods, away from human's prying eyes as she experiments with magick.

Name: Salacia Sea-Born. Being born out of wedlock, she has a given last name, not an inherited one.
Age: 21
Gender: Female, obviously.
Personality: Salacia is a very care-free girl. She doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks of her, or how she lives. She does what she wants, when she wants, without asking permission. If anyone tries to get in her way, she'll be quick to put them in their place. She can be very sarcastic, and has a sharp tongue, unafraid to snap at or insult people if they need it.
Description: Salacia looks almost dainty- she's just barely average height, with slender, curved brows and high cheekbones. She's thin, though has some lean muscle from working a ship, and surprisingly lithe. Her hair is an odd aqua color, but it's actually natural, which is the main thing that gives her away as not wholly human.
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual.
Self-Defense Preference: She carries a typical rapier-style sword that is the common weapon of choice among people of her occupation.
Housing: She mainly just stays in her ship, though sometimes she'll stay a few nights in an inn or tavern.
Other: In case you can't tell, she works on a ship, and is a sailor by trade- though don't call her that to her face, she's a bit sensitive about her title as captain. Her father was the captain of her ship before her, and, being the only child, she inherited the title from him after he died. Also, she is only half human, her mother being a sea nymph.

Name: Axton Rydde
Age: 23
Gender: Male.
Personality: Axton is a very simple man. No, not simple as in half-wit, Hodor Hodor Hodor, but simple as in... eh, how do I say it? Down to earth? He is a very direct person, cutting straight to the chase with things, never bothering to sugar coat them. Though he doesn't seem like it, he can be pretty tough at times, and can take a beating, though he is also a bit caring and has a larger-than-most heart.
Description: Axton is tall, with short(er) dark hair and dark eyes. He may not be the most attractive man ever, but hey he's not that bad looking. He has slight stubble along his jaw and relatively high cheekbones, giving him an almost gaunt appearance. He's almost skinny, must is mostly in shape from working a ship.
Sexual Orientation: Straight.
Self-Defense Preference: Like his captian, he just carries a typical rapier-style sword.
Housing: He stays in Salacia's ship, considering he's part of her crew.
Other: He could be compared to Ser Jorah the exiled knight. Faithful, loyal, and completely friendzoned.

Personality:
Really, no one has ever gotten to know her, but from what others see, they see her as a little girl with long crimson hair and eyes the color of dried blood, no whites, iris's or pupils to be seen.
But she does like to terrorize others, despite her innocent giggles that is a tell-tale sign that she is near...
If you hear that giggle, it is no coincidence, she is hunting you.
Description:
Other than her picture, blood-colored eyes and crimson waist-length hair, this girl stands at a 'staggering' five foot three and weighs just under one hundred pounds.

Unknown, and I doubt you'd be able to find out, seeing how she kills everyone within seconds of them spotting her.

Description:
Standing at six foot five and weighing in at one hundred thirty five pounds, Creed's no little guy, he's gained most of his muscle from working in Ireland where he was born and from practicing with his twin blades that never leave his hips, in easy reach.
He has thick black hair that usually is kept long but for now is cropped pretty short but when wet it sags and reaches down to his cheeks, just passed his ears.
His body itself is lean, tattoos covering most of his torso and back, one on his left side, just below his ribs read, "The scars on my arms remind me how I got this way,
I can taste the stain of your sickness on my lips,
of all the stupid things I did, I fell for this" In bold cursive that was a soft charcoal black color.
On his right bicep is a wilted black rose with a intricate spiderweb looping around each blackened petal, a Black Widow perched on the edge of one near the stem.
And on the lean muscles of his stomach in jagged bold letters it reads "Justice and Fortitude are Invincible,"
The family coat of arms takes up most of his back, the same quote read within it.

But instead of being an arrogant beast, he doesn't like being the center of attention, though he will not pass up an opportunity to screw with someone... That's right, a mischievous Dragon...
Description:
Reaching to six foot three and weighing in at one hundred and twelve pounds, it's safe to say that Rebel is tall and really lanky, another reason why he is never in his human form, I guess.
With a pale blue-white mohawk that is usually flipped to one side and more than a few piercings and tattoos, Rebel is clearly, well, a rebel! His septum and lip are pierced while he has tattoos covering most of his body, one of an eclipsed sun on the side of his neck, the others are hidden and he probably won't show you them unless he really trusts you.
Once again, a Dragon with trust issues, interesting.

Well, usually Dragons are pretty asexual, are they not? But being part human as well, Rebel prefers the company of men over women, though can date either, he just sees it as females aren't as adventurous, more drama-filled.

He lives in a cave rumored to be riddled with creatures, though he has claimed a spot farther back where the darkness is suffocating and the heat is scarce, but having eyes fit for darkness as well as light, Rebel finds it quite homey.

One thing she cannot stand is being mocked, especially when she is trying to be serious.
Her fears are quite simple, death of those surrounding her and being invaded.
Though she is a kind female, she doesn't tolerate any cruel or derogatory terms that are used not against her, but against innocence.
Description:
Elensar has long black hair that falls in silky straight volumes down to her waist and is usually pulled back and out of her face. Her skin is a pale ivory and is completely flawless aside from a small scar that she bears on her left wrist from when she was a child and a man attempted to kill her. Ethel's eyes are almond shaped and the color of the sea during a sunset, framed by thick black lashes, for an Elf, she's of course quite slender and tall, standing at five feet and nine inches and weighing at 119 lbs, her body is more slender than muscled.

Unknown, no one really gets a chance to see the she-Elf.
Description:
Quite tall, being that she is an Elf, though her build is slim and slender.
Bearing many scars from battles won, the Elf has a hardened look to her, though she has given up her armor and bears normal dressings, usually gowns made from Elvish material, fighting the urge to hook her armor back on and continue her fighting days.
Though she may be a battle-scarred Elf, her Dragon bears much more.
Her Dragon? Ah yes, I should probably explain that; while walking past the forest edge one day, a large orb within the caught her eye. Puzzled by her finding, she dove within the woodland area and examined it as a shell of an egg, the contents empty yet still warm.
Striving for the gloomy light of the canopy, a sinking feeling took in her gut and she began trembling, as if an unknown predator was stalking her right in it's depths.
Though what she did not expect to find was a small grey Dragon fledgling sulking towards her shyly, clearly a newborn. Startled by her new discovery, the Elf made quick work of getting the Dragon to trust her, and in turn, she cared for it, helping it live as it was abandoned before.
Now that it is full grown, the Dragon in turn, cares for her, just as she had done for it.
Naming the small beast Anloric, a bond grew between them.
Now the two, Dragon and rider have moved from their old home and have moved to the forests and mountains of this one, their goal to eliminate any threats that may come to them.

Description: Star has blonde hair but she died some of the parts in the back brunette. She is about 5'3 which is very short and she knows it but in her wolf form she is definitely not short. She is a tall wolf. She can change whenever shes wants to but is not forced to change on the full moon being a full blooded werewolf she has the choice. She is a very pretty girl or said so by many guys she meets. She has yet to find on that she wants to spend the rest of her life.
