Almost anywhere you travel across the Globe, you are likely to see rolling pastures dotted with grazing cattle. These remarkable animals have long been a cherished part of rural life, agriculture, and community traditions. The admiration for bovines is truly universal, and we are proud to share that passion with you.
The American Bovine Association warmly invites you to enrich your barnyard with one — or perhaps a few — exceptional cattle. We welcome breeds from across the globe, carefully selected for quality, temperament, and health. Whether you are interested in dependable dairy producers such as the Holstein or Jersey, renowned beef breeds like the Angus or Hereford, or distinctive imported breeds including the Brahman and the striking Watusi, we offer a diverse selection to meet a variety of goals and preferences.
With our commitment to high health standards, responsible breeding practices, and calm, manageable temperaments, there truly is a bovine suited for every farm, homestead, and enthusiast. We look forward to helping you find the perfect addition to your herd and to supporting you every step of the way.

Welcome to the American Bovine Association! Ready to get started on your journey? Below you will find the ABA Tutorial. Completing it will give you an idea of how to get going and jumpstart your progress. If the entirety of the tutorial is completed users may submit to claim a founder cow. Users may only complete the tutorial once. This includes if you leave the species and come back later, delete your account and rejoin later etc. The only exception to this is if a user does not complete the tutorial, gives away all their currently owned cows and comes back at a later date. As long as they own 0 cows, have no pending breedings and has not previously completed the tutorial they can now complete it for a founder.
Tutorial: OPEN
*Important!* Please only post to the Founder's Page when the it is open
Please fill out the correct code below and post it in the Founder page when open. Founders will be completed in the order they are posted by available artists. If your forum is overlooked or skipped please PM Black.Wings so I can get it taken care of!
Step One: Create a Barn!
"We need to get you registered into our system before we can allow you to take any cows home. Please fill out this form below and let me know if you have any questions!"
-Like most UMAs or Closed Species you will need a storage area for your characters to track breeding slots, owned items etc. This can be done here on CS in the Character Storage tab. Or if you'd rather you can store them on external websites like Toyhouse. ABA cows can share a storage thread with other Closed Species or UMAs or be stored independently, that's up to you. As long as its easily accessible and visible to both staff and other players its fair game.
-Pick a unique name for your Barn, this is for both ARPG and Archival purposes.
Step :2 Choose your Identification system
"Next we need to choose how you will identify members of your herd."
-Every ranch is different, and how you choose to identify your cows should be too. Please visit the Getting Started tab of the guide and review the three different identification methods. Once you've read up on your options go ahead and pick one that fits the vibe of your ranch. Don't worry, you can change this later. Just make sure you understand the repercussions of changing, if there are any.
Step :3 Choose your First Cow
"Now that you're all registered, lets choose your first bovine companion."
-This is the exciting part! Please check out the Genetics tab of the guide and get an idea of what you'd like your first cow to look like. You'll get to list some likes and dislikes and an artist will make a Semi-Custom cow based off your choices.
Optional Prompts
"Well, we're all done here, unless you've got more you want to talk about."
These prompts are not required to complete the tutorial, but if you want to jumpstart your lore and earn some extra XP this is the place to be. Please remember you cannot edit your founder form once it's submitted. If you'd like to earn these extra rewards it needs to be submitted with the rest of the tutorial.
-Make a site map or plot plan of your ranch.
Reward: 10XP (Limit of 1)
-Tell us about your goals and plans for your ABA cattle. Are they wild or domesticated? Maybe a mix of both. Looking to breed the best stats, colors or champions? Looking to make friends and develop characters? Just love cows and adoptables? Lets hear it all
Reward: 5XP per 200 words (No limits)
-Write about how you came to the ranch, backstory or the lore surrounding it. Everything that happened before you got here. Are there any legends, rumors or gossip that surround your ranch? A curse, blessing or something else.
Reward: 5XP per 200 words (No limits)
-Introduce your founder cow. Tell us about their personality, quirks, habits, or role on the ranch. Tell us about your founder cow’s first day on the ranch
Reward: 5XP per 200 words (No limits)
-Write about your ranch’s daily/yearly routine. What does a normal day look like? Tell us about the weather during the year. What are some hardships or blessings you've received? Everything modern day about your ranch.
Reward: 5XP per 200 words (No limits)
-Draw a photo of your ranch horse/dog, or truck or favorite piece of farm equipment. Feel free to add writing.
Reward: 5XP per 200 words (No limits) Colored sketch (5XP) Clean drawing (10XP) Full scene (15XP) Comic page or animation (20XP)
