It's the Hallowed Evening. Even wolves have heard of the time that their ancestors come down from the skies to walk with them, haunt them and cause mischief. It could be seen as a fun night where pups play with ghosts and are tricked, or a serious time for reflection and fear, depending on your outlook. It is also a massive celebration, in which the young females and males have the chance to adorn themselves in a multitude of embellishments in hopes of attracting a potential life-mate. The pack works hard in the upcoming days to get food and all sorts ready. Before the celebration ends for the night, however, there is a meeting that needs to take place.
On this evening, it is the first meeting at the Ancient Oak for moons since the last battle with the Rebels. Peace has returned, and as such one wolf will get the chance to howl for peace to the sky, a very lucky and rare privilege. Ancestors will come from the sky and sit with the pack, if they so wish to, as celestial beings, no more, no less. This is the one time a year that they are visible to all, and not just a few. However, not all the ancestors left the earth in peace with the pack. When something unimaginable happens, suspicions towards these said wolves will rise, leaving the pack at odds with their ancestors and loved ones. Will peace return?
So, any characters, dead or alive, used or unused, young or old, post here. Due to the fact we have a lot of characters each, short posts are fine, as long as they are more than three sentences/lines and not plain, meaningless posts. Once you've posted your wolves here, disregard the unused ones and just Rp your main ones. There will be a fatal twist which I'll let you in on later, so that's when your ready to be killed characters can die, not all at the same time, just slowly throughout the thread. So yeah, have fun! So yeah, attracting mates first, serious stuff later.
Vita
The blonde she-wolf waltzed into the clearing, her bright blue eyes glowing as she stared up at the full moon. It was the Hallowed Evening, when the ancestors would descend from the heavens to meet with the pack, and the yearlings would attract potential mates if they wished to. Though it was a peacetime and a celebration during the Hallowed Evening, not all ancestors that would join them held good intentions during their short time on Earth. They were not pleased with the pack, holding hurtful opinions towards any non full blood wolf. They were stuck in their ways, Vita supposed. They could not harm the pack however, other than verbally. Or at least, that was her knowledge of them. The wistful feeling she had felt for her own pups, now old enough to take part in the celebrations was replaced by fear. She suddenly felt afraid, a sense of foreboding crashing over her like a wave. She felt as though something was going to happen and it was going to be bad. Grimacing, the Alpha female took a running leap at the Ancient Oak, taking her place on the highest branch that would take her weight on the tree, watching as her pack gathered below. Shaking her head, she almost laughed. It was a celebration, yet she was afraid! What ludicrous thoughts she had. Little did she know that perhaps these thoughts rung true.
Tikora
Tikora kept her eyes downcast as she wandered into the clearing. She was assumed to be a pack member, but she held her own. The pack was really only a place for her to sleep. Since all of the pups had been born, she'd been more of a threat for their misbehaviour than any other sort of help. It wasn't as though she took their food. Iris seemed to be the most afraid of her; she was unsuspecting to the fact that her father and the once rogue had once been so close, now so far. Taking her place on the dirty, damp ground, she drew circles in the dirt with her paw. She didn't plan on finding a mate today, though she'd been coaxed into wearing a myriad of feathers laced among her ears, along with blue paint made from a rock striped across her face. She remembered to curse Pandroa later on for letting Ronan do this to her.
((She doesn't know of Leafs death yet.))
Holly and Jack
Holly jostled with her brother, grinning in a shy sort of way as she tripped over the young male. She was very sensitive and serious most of the time, but Hallowed Evening was the one night all wolves got to let their guard down and just enjoy the night. She wore red and blue feathers on her head, red paint on her face and looked like a true warrior goddess. Her brother laughed too, showing his sharp teeth in a playful snarl. He wore a tooth on his neck that he had found in the forest that was just outside the territory, along with a strange, elongated pawprint that couldn't have belonged to a wolf, as well as a steely, long tooth and some strange looking contraptions that looked like awkward, detached paws. Though he hadn't mentioned that to his parents, he planned to later on so Pan would praise him for being so diligent. For the moment now though, he would enjoy this night, looking ready for a battle of appearance, which he was. Grinning, he looked around for someone he could sit with other than his siblings, but only saw Tikora there. He shuddered at the thought of talking to the witch and decided to instead just sit with Holly.
Ghostly Ancestors
Their pale, clear bodies lined the high tree tops that surrounded the clearing, their expressions mixed. Some were blankly staring ahead, some conversed, some glared down at the pack in envy and others smiled in pride.
Pandroa, Ronan and Yuki
The mystics entered the clearing and scanned the place for Leaf. He hadn't returned to the den as of yet, and Pandroa had screamed out in her sleep about death in the ranks of the mystics, so tensions were high as they hoped to see his face in the area. They didn't see it. Ronan was distraught, whimpering in worry and sitting quietly to the back, unsure if he wanted to converse. Pandroa had forcibly 'prettied him up' for the night, against his will, making a deal that he could do the same to Tikora, much to her dismay. Ronan did not plan on finding a mate. His feelings lay with Leaf, not that he'd ever tell, however.
