In a land that humans never touch, there is a breed of cats called Runecats. They are born with runes imprinted onto their fur, which enable them with special abilities. There is a large lake in the middle of the forest, which is where the Runecats got there powers. The original Runecat, was named Una. He was being chased by a wolf, and fell into the lake. His need to be stronger in order to protect himself, a water-witch drew a rune onto his back. He was given the power of the Elements. His ancestors inherited his magical abilities, but were only given one. Over time, more powers developed. Now a large variety of runes exist. Sometimes, though, a cat is born with a single red eye, while the other is a different color (Example: One is green, the other is red) and that means they are Demonists, part demon. A demonist can't control themselves, and go on a rampage when at full power (Usually some time, like Full Moon, New Moon, Solar Eclipse, Lunar Eclipse, Etc... You get the point)
