Ah! Before you turn away, wait for a moment. I'd like you to think about a lush forest, thick with vegetation and natural streams. Mossflower Country. This land seems endless, stretching a vast expanse. It is the foundation to many groups: Redwall Abbey, Salamandastron, and the Clans of the Southern Shore.
-Redwall Abbey-
Redwall is home to many creatures such as mice, hedgehogs, moles, otters, squirrels, and a few shrews. They are bound by a code of non-violence:
-Always heal the sick and wounded, regardless of their appearance.
-Redwall is a place of abundant bounty. Therefore, always offer charity and hospitality to all.
-Last but not least, you must never resort to violence unless the order is threatened. Doing so can result in punishments.
Most of them haven't experienced war, yet it was shown that in the past that when push comes to shove, they can just as easily take up arms and fight. Redwall is ruled by a single monarch, usually hailed as Abbot [Male] or Abbess [Female]. They are usually addressed as Abbot, Abbess, Father, or Mother. Occasionally, there can be badger mothers within its walls. They are the care-takers of the Dibbuns, children of the Abbey.
-Salamandastron-
Translating into "Fire Lizard Mountain," Salamandastron was an extinct volcano. Its interior was hollowed, so that a quite large number of animals may live inside of it. They are known as the Long Patrol, a group of hares devoted to the protection of the shores and the inhabitants of Mossflower Country. The hares are skilled with a variety of weapons [Most of them forged by the Badger Lords] and even boxing. The Long Patrol is headed by a few high-ranking officials. [General ranking the highest and gallopers the lowest.]
Generals - Usually aids the Badger Lord and oversees the activities of the Patrol.
Brigadiers - Commands a brigade and ranks lower than a general.
Colonels
Majors
Lieutenants
Sergeants
Corporals
Gallopers - Scouts the area ahead for enemies and are usually seen as recons.
At the patrol's head, stands the Badger Lord. He/she is generally wise and great in battle. Most of the past badger lords have been possessed by a condition called: "Bloodwrath." When overcome by it, they are oblivious to anything and can only concentrate on their enemies. Unfortunately, the downside is that usually, they acquire many wounds while in that state, and are more prone to death than their fighters.
-Clans of the Northern Shores-
A relatively new group that has began to make it's appearance in Mossflower. The group is a large horde with strangely enough, four leaders. To break it down even further, the clans are made up of a random assortment of foxes, stoats, rats, and ferrets. Because of clans used to argue constantly, over which species of vermin is superior to the other. Each clan is headed by their own head chief, a member of their own species that generally is the strongest of the group. Before they've migrated to Mossflower, fights and slaughter has broken out among the ranks over which species is superior to the other. However, they've recently banded together, to form a horde thirsty for slaughter and plunder. So as a result, fights have died down, yet occasionally, some still break out over greed and pride.
-The Cartel-
The Cartel is a small company set up by Thaen. They have been at sea for many years, to the point where most of the crew can barely remember their homeland. (Devika, especially, considers herself very much a child of the sea.) The small boat that they inhabit is not meant for overseas travel, but is instead a small cutter that can go inland somewhat. Over the past twenty years, the Cartel ship - styled the Honeyspear - has slowly made its way northwards. Finally, the Honeyspear is on its way to Mossflower.
The ship has a crew of around 10 desert jirds (of which will be largely NPC'd). Jirds are favored because of their ability to do with little water for a long period of time.

Plot
Shortly after the alliance of the clan leaders, they set off to conquer both Salamandastron and Redwall. [You know how vermin get, greedy greedy.] I've never seen a beast conquer Redwall, so it could be interesting for Redwall to fall first compared to a battle mountain fortress. [So they establish their head-quarters there, and each vermin could maybe get a little over arrogant towards one another?] With the Redwallers they haven’t killed as prisoners, the vermin continue to conquer and become greedier. They ultimately are at each other's throats for more power. With this said, the leaders try to kill the others of their rank to try to have more power. They could do this by various ways: Stir up trouble between their followers and the species of another leader, hire an assassin, arrange the “accident” of another leader, etc. As the inner turmoil rages on, one night, the remaining Redwallers could escape and go to Salamandastron and join forces with the Long Patrol/Badger Lord.
Then, it literally becomes sort of the opposite of the books. Rather than have the vermin attacking them, the Redwallers and Salamandastron forces try to take the abbey back with force.

-Please roleplay in third person [So no: I saw the vermin and growled softly]
-Not really a rule, but it would be nice to have more vermin than Redwallers and hares
