Snowpaw nodded. "I suppose." She meowed while she watched Spiritwhisker bound over. "Hello Spiritwhisker!" She purred. "The patrol is almost ready!" she thought. Snowpaw giggled at Shadowstep's remark, but then fell silent as it seemed he wasn't joking. "Where can Darkpaw be?" Snowpaw scratched her ear with her hindpaw. "Ill go speak with Smoketail." She meowed to Spiritwhisker and her mentor. Snowpaw stood up and bounded over to the apprentice's den. She spotted Smoketail poking his head through the den. "Is Darkpaw still sleeping?" She tilted her head slightly. "The patrol is waiting." Snowpaw didn't want to seem rude, but she was getting slightly impatient.

He looked toward his apprentice then around the clearning for his mate Firewillow, before stopped for a moment "wait there a little bit Rosepaw, I am back soon" he meowed to the young she-cat then walked to the medicine cat "Firewillow, Hey...I just thought do you need any herbs or anything, I am going out with Rosepaw, so maybe I could bring you some..or you can join us?" he meowed with a soft smile.

She watched around the other members, with a smile "So everyone is here, so lets get going" she meowed sighing stooding up. She didn't want to take the lead, but it seemed that nobody else was not doing it and all cats which was involved was already there.

Sunfeather felt a smile creep onto his face at the fact that Rainypaw knew two of the three herbs he had listed.
"That's correct! I'm impressed. Back when I was an apprentice, around your age, I barely knew what cobwebs were used for!" He chuckled.

That's why it so useful, and it's bad that we are running low on it. Shall we get to it? The more we find, the merrier, after all." He flicked his feathery, fluffy tail in the direction of the camp exit.
Already in his mind, he conjured up a few good places where they could go, and he could show Rainypaw the best places for certain herbs.

Smoketail sighed and looked back down at his apprentice. She was dead-asleep. "Doesn't look like she'll be up anytime soon. Guess we'll just have to go without her or wait a whole moon until she gets up." Smoketail told his patrol of cats who were huddling around the apprentices' den. "I vote to let her sleep. And where's Tigerlily?" Smoketail asked.

Riverbriar laughed "Rabbitleap!" she exclaimed surprised by his sudden appearance and compliment. "You're such a charmer." she pawed at him playfully before she nodded trying to regain her seriousness "Appears to be so. And now we've gone and missed the morning patrols again." she said offering him a small shrug. "Pity isn't it?" she asked thought by the tone of her voice it was clear she didn't seem to mind as much anymore. Though she wasn't quite sure how she felt about the assigned mates or about being Rabbitleap's mate she did find him great fun to be around. If she had to be stuck with anyone she couldn't complain that it was Rabbitleap. At least she'd never be bored.

Sootnose shrugged as she moved away from the two apprentices, flicking her tail for them to follow her over to the rest of the patrol. "I'm not sure, we'll have to see where the others want to go." she said as she made her way over to Limeleaf "Hello Limeleaf." she greeted softly, she then offered a much more friendly smile to Hazelmoon as she was her brother's mate. "Hello Hazelmoon. I hope we didn't leave you waiting for too long." she said glancing back at the apprentices to make sure they'd come with her. She felt slightly bad for Nightpaw having to wait till they could train more but.. She was sure this wouldn't take that long. And in her opinion it was the better of the two patrols, she'd rather go hunting than make small chat with everyone while they searched for loners.

Sootnose nodded slowly, falling quiet as Limeleaf took control of the patrol. Her gaze flickered back to her apprentice before she looked over at the camp entrance eager to get out and hurry this patrol up. She faintly wondered if anyone had brought fresh kill to the new queen.. Should she ask Nightpaw to do that later? Or would someone have already taken care of her? If nothing else perhaps she should ask him to just check on her.. She flicked her tail as thoughts of taking care of her clanmates flooded her mind drowning out the thoughts of hunting or where they might want to go.

Shadowstep glanced at Spiritwhisker nodding in agreement before he rose to his paws and trailed after his apprentice. Pricking his ears slightly as he listened to her and Smoketail. "I'd have to agree with you, she'd have been up by now if she was getting up anytime soon." he replied simply before he frowned, glancing behind them. "Tigerlily?" he snapped slightly impatiently, had she gone wandering off? They were just about to get going.

Rainypaw snorted "I don't know if I believe that.. You're so wise Sunfeather.. I heard that you knew all the herbs right away." she said. Of course you couldn't always believe everything you heard in a small clan.. That did seem like it could possibly be true. Sunfeather had always seemed very sure of himself whenever she'd seen him make any sort of decision. Though.. that hadn't been much. She had only been an apprentice four moons and not much had really happened during that time. She moved towards the camp entrance falling silent as she tried to commit what he'd just told her to memory. Soothing throats..
curing wounds and poisonings... could anyone ever even get poisoned?? ... stop greencough.. she thought to herself.

Stormypaw nodded in agreement as his mentor spoke "Makes sense.." he commented. He supposed his mentor was right, maybe he had a lot more to think about and learn... He stood up and began to follow after his mentor his head held high "Hunting patrol? Sounds good to me-" he cut himself off and made a face at his mentor. "Oh.. Er.. Ew." he said. "I don't want to be mates with one of my friends" he grumbled. Sure he knew he needed to get closer to his fellow apprentices, he was sure his sisters were closer to them than he was, something Rainypaw was quick to remind him of. But he still considered them all his friends.. Sort of.. But he hadn't really been thinking about how one of those she-cats was his future mate. He wasn't sure how he really honestly felt about that. They were all friends weren't they? Wouldn't that ruin their friendships?

Snowpaw watched as the awaiting border patrol padded to the apprentice's den. "I hope Ashstar won't get mad at us for taking so long to leave. Snowpaw sighed. "I thought I saw her leave without us." she meowed to Smoketail. She rose to her paws and licked her forepaw. "We might as well be on our way then." Snowpaw stiffled a yawn.

Frogleap thought it was rather odd having an assigned mate. He's hope he'd have a mate with somebody he loved. Still, Frogleap was willing to give the 'assigned mate' thing a try. Frogleap padded toward Dawnflight, who was near the fresh-kill pile speaking to Shellsong "Goodmorning Dawnflight, Shellsong" he meowed. "I hope I'm not interrupting." Frogleap sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. "How are you feeling Shellsong?" The queen looked heavy with kits, it was any day now she'd bring them into the world.
