Icewing flattened her ears in pity for the tiny kit. Though she could not see him, she could tell he was distraught. "Of course they will. It'll be okay." She purrs comfortingly to Larkkit.
Milkkit rouses from her sleep, yawing. "Merrhhh.. What's going on?" She squeaked, blinking, and began to look around. "Hey, I think I know you." She chirps, waddling over to Icewing. "Aren't you Daddy's sister?" She mewls, tilting her head a bit.
Icewing turns her attention over to Milkkit's tiny voice. "Oh, Yeah, I am." She purrs. She couldn't tell that she was looking around Milkkit, and not right at her.
Milkkit blinks confusedly at Icewing. "Why aren't you looking at me? Did I do something wrong?" She mews pitifully.
Icewing blinks, trying to perfectly locate the kit by sound, but she could only do so well. Luckily, her gaze did land on Milkkit, but purely by chance. "Oh, no, no no. You didn't do anything wrong, little one. I just..." She mews, trying to think of a way the kits would understand it. "I can't use my eyes. I can't see anything. I find my way around with my ears and my nose, and of course the other warriors helping me." She purrs, having grown adjusted to her blindness.
"You're like my sister!" Tigerkit chirps, having woken up just a moment before. "Swankit can't use her eyes either. SHe can only smell and hear stuff." He explains.
Icewing raises her invisible cat eyebrows in surprise. "Really?" She mews. Well, blindness does run in our family.. Poor kit.. She thinks to herself. "Hmm.. Hey, how about we play a game out in the clearing?" She mews with a smile, trying to change the subject and lighten up the mood.
Milkkit's eyes light up like stars at Icewing's words. "Okay! Okay!" She chirps, scrambling out to the clearing, waiting for the others.
Tigerkit looks over to his mother, an excited spark in his eyes. "Can I, mama? Can I go play with Icewing and Milkkit?" He mews excitedly.
Icewing purrs. "I promise I'll keep an eye on him." She assures Dawnstripe, then turns to Larkkit. "How about you? You wanna come play a game with us?" She mews with a smile.
