As he leaped forward, keeping his foot falls as light as he could. He noticed her eyes closed and as he drew closer, he felt paws hit his shoulder, sending him stumbling and with his velocity and her kick, he actually tumbled to his side. Blinking, Russetleaf felt a smile on his maw as he looked at his apprentice. "You did that move wonderfully. This is a great move that is actually harder to learn than others because it requires patience, listening and you've learned the patience and listening" He purred, getting to his paws and padding over towards honeypaw. "Now, I'm going to attack from your rear flank, and I want you do what I did, which was twirl away, using your hips to send my momentum away from you." He mewed, preparing from where he was to go at her rear flank.

The white she-cat looked over at the warriors den and noticed Redfur padding out. The young apprentice stood, excused herself from the other apprentices and padded towards the warrior. He was sat near Treewhisker, grooming himself. The she-cat came to a halt beside the two toms. "Good morning Redfur, what are we working on today?" She asked. trying to keep her excitement out of her voice so as to not bug the tom.

Red’Fur stopped grooming himself as he replied, “Morning, Tree’Whisker. It’s been alright, didn’t have the best sleep thought. Sad to say I slept a lot longer than I was hoping.” Red’Fur then turned to see Frost’Paw who was trotting over to him. “Good morning, Frost’Paw. As for today unless we are put on a patrol, I was thinking we could continue your hunting training. Though I suppose if you wanna learn something specific we could to that.” He spoke pausing to allow his apprentice to speak her mind.

Cloud’Feather sat quietly watching the clan wake for another day, grooming herself as she slowly adjusted to the morning weather. Her tail swishing ever so slightly as soft hum, as she gazed up at the sky. Unsure of what she’d be doing today, remaining lost in thought. Her ears flicked slightly as she glanced back to the clan.

Ripple’Paw huffed as he rolled over in his moss bed, realizing it was morning he sat up. Padding out of the apprentice’s den, standing as he glanced around. Wondering if Leo’Leap was awake, and if he had anything he wanted Ripple’Paw to do right at the moment. He took a few more moments to glance around not seeing his mentor anywhere. He shrugged before sitting down and patiently waiting, letting out a sigh while waiting. He wasn’t the most patient cat, and he’d eventually get bored and go do something.

Silent’Paw was out of the den at first light, not sure where her mentor was. She didn’t mind to much, she preferred being alone so she didn’t have to worry about driving her clan mates off the den walls. Her claws came out as she climbed up a tree, a ball of moss in her mouth. She set the ball down in her little spot. It was a smallish tree inside of camp where she’d often be when she wasn’t doing her apprentice duties, or waiting for her mentor, she’d lay down with a sigh as she watched the clan.

She nodded to the other queen "yeah same, at the point anything is fine as long it's eatable" she meowed to her, walking out of the nursery. She shook her pelt and looked around the camp, seeing the few cats at the fresh-kill pile already "Hopefully there is enough for us to share if that's fine with you?" she asked at her.

She silently listened to her mentor, with a nod, but didn't really say anything before the Firefinch called for her mentor and her as well "Uh, well then I will take something small and quick to eat before we leave" she meowed to Icefang. She turned to see the fresh-kill pile for something small, noticing the mice there, picking it up she started to eat it.

He waked up at the very moment when his mother got out of the nursery, blinking his eyes he yawned before made a look for his sister Summerkit and the other two kits "hey Summerkit, wake up its morning" he meowed poking his sister's shoulder gently. He flicked his ears as his sister was muttering something but didn't really get what she was saying.

She was in a tight ball, as she slept, not wanting anyone to bother her, but she was not surprised about her brother being up first and poking her up too. She muttered something her face covered by her paws before she opened her eyes to look her brother "I know it's morning, but what hurry, we have the whole day left to do whatever" she murmured with a sight.

Tail curling in amusment the feline nodded, at the sight of the group of cats gathered at the prey pile, as she stuck her head out of the nursery. "That's fine Winterfeather, " she started, chuckling softly. Glancing around she took note of who was up and around, giving her maw a lick as her gaze returned to the prey pile. Stomach growling softly, her ears flickered back with embaressment, and she gave her chest a few lick before padding towards the prey pile.

Owlkit tilted his head in thought, it wasn't very early, but it wasn't late in the day either. With a shrug, he figured that he'd wake up up later if they didn't wake up by sun-high. As he looked around camp, the white and ginger tom decided to find a warrior or apprentice to bother. Spotting Cloudfeather out of the corner of his eye, the tom bound over to the grey and white tabby. "Cloudfeather!" he yowled with excitment, as he came to stop just a tail-length from the young warrior. A grin found its way to his maw, eyes lighting with laughter.

Huffing slightly, the calico glanced toward the entrance of the den just in time to see her mother leave the den. She got to her feet, legs trembling with the left over mix of adrennilin and fear. Shaking away the dream away from her thoughts, the she-cat quietly decided that it would be rude to wake up her den-mates. So, the feline decided to head to the medicine den to see Bonewing and Blackberrypaw. Grimacing at the thought of the medicine cat apprentice, she sighed. With that she-cat as a medicine cat apprentice, there was no way that she'd have her dream rank now.

Letting out a rumble of acknowledgement, before standing. "Alright, let me clean this up and I'll be ready." He mewed in return, motioning to the bones and feathers with his tail. Starting with the bones, he pawed them over to a corner of camp, before digging a small hole just big enough to keep the bones inside. Icefang paused, before gently picked up the upper skull of the Robin, and placed it aside. The tom figured that it would be a good toy for the kits, even if it was only for a short while. Picking up the skull, he padded back to the feathers, placing the skull to the side and started to collect the feathers in his mouth.

Honeypaw fluttered at her mentor's praise, excitement surging through her body and making her bounce on her paws. She began purring absentmindedly, listening carefully to Russetleaf's instructions. She nodded, psyching herself up yet again, and spinning around in her spot. She positioned herself in the same stance she had seen Russetleaf in, and was replaying every motion she was supposed to follow repeatedly in her head, waiting for her cue.
Feeling for the movement of his steps behind her that were echoing his position through the dirt, she held her breath in anticipation. When the moment was right and she knew he was making his move, she copied her mentors movements, twirling and attempting to push him like he had done to her. She did connect with him, but she miscalculated it and only about halfway hit him. Her ears flattened in annoyance, but his kind words from a moment ago reminded her she was doing good, and she felt better even if it wasn't perfect.
"I can use a little work on that one," She laughed a bit, turning to Russetleaf. She licked her lips, her face scrunching up at the dryness of her mouth and throat. "Hey, before we keep going, can we walk to the stream by the lake for some water? I'm kind of thirsty," She asked politely, her voice slightly hoarse.

Bonewing swished his tail, glancing over at the sorted herbs, "A test? Well, maybe, but I don't think you deserve something like that." He gave a crackling chuckle, "We ought to check in on Jaggedeye and Briairfrost, it was a damp night." He gave a little shake, "we should bring some daisy leaf and chamomile, if we have it."

Bonewing walked over to their herb storage, gently rooting through the carefully sorted herbs. He paused, straightening up, and gave a dopey half smile, "Why do you think I picked daisy leaf and chamomile?"

Russetleaf felt the pressure, and was almost gently nudged away and he put the brakes on, so he didn't actually hit Honeypaw. His ears pricked forward as he heard her request and noticed his own throat was quite dry as well. "You are doing a great job, but I agree. Perhaps in the time we get a drink, Softpaw and Sablesnook will show and we can try you two apprentices together" He mewed, heading towards the lake. It wasn't super far but it was a few minutes walk. The fluffy orange tom licked his jaw as he spied the water up ahead. He picked up the pace into a slow trot before slowing as he approached the water. The plan was to slow down, that didn't happen. In fact, the tom tripped foolishly and tumbled into the lake water. The liquid engulfed him and he pushed himself up to the air and took in a big breath as he pulled himself up above the water. Once he could breathe, he brought his maw to the water and drank some of the water. Then he padded onto shore and shook his thick fur, droplets going everywhere.

The apprentice heard her mentors suggestion and agreed with it. She needed to do more work on her hunting techniques. Her stalking was okay, and her pounce needed work. "I think working on hunting is a good idea. I didn't do so well the last time we went out." Her ears went back as she remembered the last time. She had swished her tail on accident when stalking and the bird flew away.

Red’Fur nodded watching the apprentice’s expression, whiskers twitching in amusement. “It takes time you should’ve seen my first time, I was stalking prey I completely missed when I went to pounce. Landed in a thorn bush even!” He spoke trying to make Frost’Paw feel a bit better about her first time trying to hunt. “Anyways, as long as we aren’t on a patrol we can work on your hunting.” He spoked, reassuringly.

Honeypaw happily followed alongside her mentor, and as soon as the smell of the lake drifted over her, she was immediately calmed. She watched Russetleaf trip and go falling over into the water, and she burst out laughing, making sure to carefully get closer so she didn't do the same. Though, as she saw him emerge from under the surface of the water, her chest tightened. For just a moment, she saw her dad in his place as a flash to their time at their lake appeared in her mind. Her eyes grew watery, but she just pushed out a smile, shook her head to clear the memory, and leapt into the water after Russetleaf. She didn't mind the water- she was raised to love it and she was more than happy to have a few minutes here. Nothing made her happier than being here, after all, and it was plain to see.
She shot back up from under the water, taking big gulps of air and a large, genuine smile spreading across her face. She paddled in the shallow end as she giggled watching Russetleaf try to get all of the water off of his long coat. She playfully swatted at some small fish trying to get away from the two cats, before finally taking a drink, having gotten side-tracked by the memorizing gleam of the lake in front of her. "This is my favorite part of our territory!" She purred happily, starry-eyed and smile bigger than it had been all morning.

She didn't even hear her sister as the white molly jumped away from the calico. Maplestar sighed and looked over the camp to see if everyone was awake. A sudden cold breeze assaulted her fur and stung her like a bee, causing her to fluff up slightly. The leader's piercing-blue eyes traced Firefinch's figure, a small smile creeping onto her face. He'll make a good leader when my time comes. The calico shook the thought from her head.

Ravenwing whispered something to her sister before jumping away from the calico to find her apprentice, or go on a patrol and give Hickorypaw some time to herself. Heading over to the prey pile, she picked up a small mouse in her maw. It wasn't much more than a few bites but it would get her through the morning. She eventually settled down near the warrior's den.

The molly shook her head, though she knew Jaggedeye couldn’t see it. “No, no, but thank you, Jaggedeye.” Briarfrost murmured, a soft smile etched in her face. Though the tom’s seen a lot, he was always good to have by you. She was glad to have him around even when she didn’t show it.

The ginger-and-white tabby’s fur spiked up, their green eyes wide with fear. As they looked from a tree that they climbed up into, Foxdung! They cursed themself under their breath, taking a moment to hope down from the tree to look at the cats. I’m going to have to come up with a lie to get me out of this. Maybe into the Clan if their willing to take me in. The cat cleared their throat. “I’ve been looking for my father, Nettleshadow. His mate told me that he would be here in this area. Does the name bring a memory or two back?” The cat murmured, making it sound as if they were truly scared of these cats. They knew Nettleshadow was dead as he was killed by his former friend Lilywhisker.

Snowpaw smiled softly at the she-cat. "I always enjoyed fishing but sometimes the water can be too cold. Any smart cat knows not to get into freezing-cold water in leafbare, especially if they hair fur like me." Snowpaw chuckled, remembering the days when he and Fernbreeze would fish together at the river. A sudden drop of sadness took over, his ears slightly pinned back. "A bit after I first became an apprentice, Fernbreeze and I would fish at the river. I used to not be able to just reach a paw in, so I would jump all the way in. I'm surprised I even caught anything doing that." The tom sighed. "The last time her and I went fishing together, we passed by one of her favorite spots. It was surrounded with her favorite flowers, each being beautiful and vibrant, just like the she-cat who raised me." The smaller tom sighed, taking a small bite of the mouse he had at his paws.

Jaypaw smiled softly. He enjoyed the older tom's company and great personality. "Alright, alright. Well, how about we do some hunting?" The apprentice questioned Flintdusk. "The prey pile does look a bit pitiful as of now." Jaypaw murmured, his green eyes trailing back to the pile. We could clear it of old and put fresh in.
