"yessss," the small white and grey molly mewed under her breath, and she hopped up and looked around the clearing. "okay, will do. i won't take long," she reassured the dark tom. wrenstripe was grooming his fur but he heard voices and looked up, his leg stretched out in front of him. he saw nettleheart talking to brokenlight then signal him over with her tail. for a moment, he thought it was something serious, seeing adderstar with them, but realized it was just a patrol. "well, i can't eat it right now, so i'll catch another one," he shrugged the thought off, then perked up. "if you wanted to share you would have to go to my camp," he said hopefully, although in his mind he knew it was a hopeless request. "and i'm, rainstep, the noblest cat of them all," he mewed, jokingly, as he knew this wasn't true.

nettleheart nodded and followed close behind adderstar as he led the patrol. she almost bumped into him when he stopped, sighing in relief. when she heard him, she turned and opened her mouth, also smelling a strange cat. and rainstep's. "who is that?" she asked quietly. the patched molly turned to brokenlight. "he's not yowling, and knowing him, he's quite loud when he fights," she mewed and narrowed her eyes.

Thunderslash snorted, curling her tassel around her paws. Her fur prickled, staring at the mouse laying limp inbetween her paws. With a huff, she bent down and grudgingly finished her meal.
