Pinestar blinked open his eyes as soft sunlight streamed into his den. He uncurled himself and got up. He stretched. before beginning to give himself a quick wash.

Forestsoul yawned as she paced around the camp's circumference. She had been given the unfortunate task of sentry duty during the night. She sighed in relief when the first rays of the sun began shining on the camp. Soon her replacement would come!

Leafpaw slept curled up in a tight ball in the apprentices den. He was worn out from taking care of the elders the night before. He was the only apprentice, so he had to do it all himself.

Firekit sat patiently in the nursery. Today was the day he would be made an apprentice. Despite himself, his tail gave an impatient flick.

Sweetleaf wakes up as her green-blue eyes open from a ray of sunlight over her. The tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat lifts her up to the sky, hearing an eagle's screech from above. She turns to one of her clanmates, Tarclaw as the brown tomcat opens his eyes. "Do you know what's going to happen next?" she asked. Tarclaw shrugs with a short deep hum.

Flutterstream was already awake after she groomed her pelt and checks on the herb supplies. "Let's hope StarClan has something in mind for today."
