Nine little clan cats hanging on a thread...

Petalstorm shuffled in her nest, unable to sleep. It was a quiet night, so she decided to at least get some fresh air and take a moonlit walk, maybe find some useful herbs. Sliding out of her nest and into the open, she breathed in the chill air, unknowing that 2 cats were following her.
She had gotten some distance before the first one padded up to her - the murderer. They grinned as they approached, undistinguishable from the faint sounds of night. An owl hooted, spooking Petalstorm to look at the murderer, who resumed a normal position. "[Redacted]? Why are you up?" she asked, tilting her head. "Could you not sleep as well?" "Oh, no, but you will very soon..." They grinned again, large and exposing their shining fangs. Before Petalstorm could respond, they quickly overtook her, pinning her to the ground. She thrashed, but the murderer quickly twisted their head, snapping their neck quickly. "Oh, that wasn't as fun as I thought. I'll have to make it longer next time."
Flowerfoot, the second cat, came to find out what happened to her sister, but instead found herself rooted to the ground, looking at the murderer covered in blood. "[Redacted]- What-" She cried, but was pounced on as well. Landing on the ground, her foot bent at an odd angle and she screeched in pain. [Redacted] dragged their claws along her, before leaping off the body and grinning. "Now that is better. Don't go eavesdropping, Flowerfoot." The murderer said her name with venom, leaving her to slowly bleed out through the night to go wash.

Widgeonpaw is to be renamed Widgeonmask and to become the new Medicine Cat.
Wasppaw's mentor is to become Harrierheart.

One fell off and snapped their neck...
Two fell and found that eavesdropping wasn't the best...
