Arenia's eyes widened in relief "Thank you! All these Valentines day letters!" she mumbled around the letter as she held it in her jaws and stuffed it gently back into her bag. "It would have broken my streak if I lost this letter." she mumbled sheepishly.

" You just need to practice drawing and I bet you will be great at it! " Retho said smiling. Retho was a little surprised and panicked as he leaned against her to get away from the mud, Retho blushed. " It is fine Cylan. Really, it is fine.. "

Retho look at the stars, " even though if we hardly even friends.. I am glad I get to spend a day with him.. " she thought happily. She curled her tail beside her and tried to keep warm.

"But, you got dirt on yourself."
Cylan sneezed, wiping a clod of dirt off his nose. Digging in his bag, he saw he forgot to pack wipes. Now this, he surmised, was a disaster. A total dilemma. For this, this was world ending. He'd be dirty either way!

Cylan twitched.
"There's dirt... on my nose. And on my face!" He said as if he didn't know himself, fretting. This was a disaster! How was Cylan to clean himself? Grovel on the towel like a dog? Then his paws would get dirty. And his rear.

Yarps smiled.
"It's fine, I understand." He showed his satchel in pride.
"I'm Yarps by the way." Yarps softly bowed, adding,
"That's quite a bundle you have there. Must be a lot of deliveries!" The Courier laughed, adding with a pat to his satchel,
"I just managed to finish mine before coming here, luckily. I get a moments rest, but all the emotions, murr."

Arenia's eyes sparked with reconization of the names "Oh! Hello Yarps! I'm Arenia." she gave him a tiny dip of the head. "Yeah....I was kind of side tracked..." she mumbled grudgingly. "I'll finish soon though, maybe have times to look at the stars." she shrugged shuffling her paws. "Never really found them interesting, maybe I will this year." she shrugged again shuffling through her bag "Ah!" she pulled out a package "Here you are Yarps!" she set the package at his paws.

Retho smiled, " Oh.. It doesn't matter that much. " she said. She took out out a packet of wipes and passed to him after she took one out. She cleaned off the mud and place the wipe into a plastic bag. Retho closed her bag properly, and tied the plastic bag, she would throw it later.

She took out a box of chocolate chip cookies, and offered, " Would you want one Cylan? " she hoped that if he took, it would taste nice because she had made them by herself. Retho closed her eyes for a few seconds and opened them, she knew it was important to rest her eyes.

Retho hope Cylan would be fine after wiping himself properly and cleanly. For her, she was auctully fine with getting dirty, but she won't admit why. Retho look all over herself, not a single speck of mud or dirt on her at all. Retho grinned as she remembered what happened earlier.

"At least you tried." Rauga sighed leaning back as he flopped backwards on the grass.

They fell into companionable silence, each lost in their own thoughts and drawing comfort from the other's presence.

"So...where do you live, Rauga? In Avalon, possibly?"

Rauga blinked, slowly contemplating her question as he turned it around in his mind. He tilted his head to the side before he finally answered softly. "Currently, yes. My work needs me close to the capital of Vinara." he smiled gently but gave no other explanation. His ears twitched slightly as he drew in a deep breath, analyzing the ever changing surroundings. The night grew cold and squeals from nearer couples were heard, the vibrations felt by his sensitive paws told him many were cuddling close or moving away. He was so absorbed with listening to what his honed senses was telling him, for a moment he was lost in his own world, before the feeling of warmth reminded him he was not alone.

"How's the world outside of Vinara? Did you come back just for stargazing? Or are you meeting a special someone?" the Faerre teased lightly, inwardly curious about the outside world -a world he'll never be able to reach.

He lived in Avalon, around the palace- she felt happy to know that, just felt quite reassured that she had one more of a good friend to have in Vinara. However, was that wistfulness in his voice? Before she could be sure he stopped speaking and just returned to his usual smile.

"Oh yes, I've been out to the other world-I met my companion, almost a year ago from now.But I always come back. I just came back for a while. Vinara's good enough, usually. Out there isn't really that much different, only that there are much less faerres and much more humans...and there are giant machines, which are like, stuff people make and they can work on their own? Nobody ever walks. They just ride things called cars.

"If you like the fresh air and the wind and the trees, it's probably a good choice to stay in Vinara- because out there there's less nature. Since I love machines and those things, outside is perfect for me! But probably not to most faerres.

"If I stay here I'd just be one little greasy faerre. But out there, I can do much more that I want to do."
She paused then. "If you could leave Vinara, would you like to? At least visit some new place for a while and..figure out how things work around there?" she cocked her head.

He listened quietly as Citrin explained the wonders of a new world to him, enjoying the excitement laced through her words as she talked about the things she's passionate about. How wonderful and thrilling it must be to be passionate about something, to be able to chase one's dream and to be able to accomplish it. These 'machines' and 'cars' she talked of sounded interesting, but no matter how hard the Faerre tried, he couldn't picture the objects. The world he's living in was completely blank, there were no pictures, everything was defined through their textures or scent. It was an interesting world for him, yet at the same time, completely frustrating to know his world was different from the others. He never showed his frustration though.

"Leaving?" Rauga repeated softly as he turned the idea in his head. Had he ever though of leaving Vinara?

"I guess so." He chuckled, a mirthless sound from his throat. "But it's impossible. No, it's time consuming. See..." He rolled over to the side to face Citrin, glassy eyes met brown and for a moment it seemed like Rauga could see with his faded orange eyes. "Unlike others, I can't adapt as fast. Others might take just months to get used to their surroundings, but I could take years." he smirked, turning his head away and breaking the empty gaze. He knew how people reacted if he stared too long with his glassy eyes. Though blind, the way he acted was so natural that most would've dismissed his disability as a lie, but not one was able to stare into his eyes for an extended period of time without feeling creeped out.

"But yes. I do want to go out one day, even if it's a hopeless wish."

"Hopeless?" she echoed. "I don't know about that."
Adaptation did, yes, take a long time. Though blindness was a severe obstacle that could thwart the process, it wasn't impossible, was it.

Though she had known him for a few minutes or so- she saw more in him than a blind, random faerre who was helpless in a new world. He actually seemed thoughtful and welcome, and had a special trait that she couldn't put into words- but it existed. She was sure there were people who could care for him dearly and fufill his personal wishes. She was sure.

"But you won't be alone, right? You'll have your companion, who will explain to you the details of their world. I don't think it's a hopeless wish, Rauga- there are always people to help you, or anyone. Adapting is hard! Blindness might slow it down a lot, but that's not all of it."
"Still, though...maybe one day, we can go out together to visit other places for a while. It's not that different, the other worlds. And you'll have me?"
Then she gave a big, hopeful grin at him. He may not see it, but he'll feel her eagerness anyhow.

Companion... Rauga smiled thoughtfully as his tail flicked from side to side. That's right, Faerres usually announce their departure on the Altar and find a companion. But did Rauga wish for a companion? His hopes of finding others that were willing to put up with his disability, to be patient enough to wait for him to catch up were slim. No... If he chose to leave, he'll probably leave alone.

"Perhaps." he replied softly. "One day." He smiled.

"You seem to understand a lot Citrin. Have you been secretly studying me for a time?" The Faerre turned to the female, his voice teasing as he changed the topic. "Oh? A pretty lady offering to accompany me on my travels? How can I resist?" he chuckled, the smile on his face showing that he was only teasing her. "Thanks for the offer. You're really kind."

Rauga could feel the eagerness and excitement radiating off of his companion and inwardly he felt happy that there's someone who's willing to understand. Even though they only met for a few minutes, it felt like they had been best friends for a long time. Rauga's ears perked up suddenly as he turned to face Citrin again.

"Would you mind showing me how you look like?" the male Faerre tilted his head curiously as his tail twitched beside him. Now that they were a bit more familiarized with each other, Rauga was quite curious how his companion looked like in his world. But sometimes asking others to describe themselves or to feel them turns really awkward. For them, but never for him.

In a world of darkness, touch and scent was a necessity. Currently, 'Citrin' was a textureless form associated with only the scent of oil and metal. He wanted to know more about this friendly existence and in a way, also act as a reassurance he didn't go mad with loneliness that he started imagining friends.
