Frozengaze lay in his den, which he shared with Pinestar. He took in the scents around him and sighed happily.

Pinestar placed down a paw into the squishy mud, it slightly sank into the gooey substance, sticking to her fur. Pulling it up, she saw the print she left flood with swirling murky water. The tortoiseshell she-cat then turned her head skyward, her amber eyes searching the stars for answers. Her eyes widened; was she just imagining it, or was StarClan sending her another message? Twinkling stars started to cluster together, forming shapes. Two bright cats danced across the sky, sending spirals of misty light from their paws. Suddenly they changed, merging into one cat, who ran with all speed. It's almost like... Sunflash! Pinestar thought, squinting her eyes against the brilliant light. Then it was done, the apparation disappeared into gray clouds, covering the crescent moon that hung from above. The she-cat stared for a while longer, seeing if there was more, but a swift breeze brought her back to present. Glancing down again, she closed her eyes to ponder over what had just happened.

Dusk was on his tail, her own streaming out behind her. Her green eyes narrowed slightly against the harsh wind that stung them.
