Personality/Background Xander had always been the more quiet type, but ever since he had gotten into the new high school he wasn't really quiet at all. He had fallen into one of the more well-known cliques and quickly became top dog, the guys all calling him Wolf because of his gruff appearance, behavior, and also for the fact that it was much easier than Xander. he had never really had a female parental figure in his life as his mother died in a plane crash along with his grandparents when he was only three years old, and he and his father were never really close. Whenever they were both in the house at the same time, they would both act as if the other didn't exist, so Xander had been providing for himself almost his whole life. He was thankful for that, but still a bit envious of everyone else around him that took their full, loving families for granted. Wolf had gotten his first and only pet at age ten, Kaa. The large albino serpent stayed locked away in his room so that his father, who is afraid of snakes, (let alone sixteen-foot pythons) would stay out of his room.

Zelda had somehow managed to sleep past her alarm. she had never been late for a class in all her seventeen years. she rushed getting ready hoping that her homeroom teacher would just let this one thing slide. She dressed how she did every day, jeans, t-shirt, and hoodie. She ran through the kitchen and into the driver's side of her car. Zel managed to get to school about ten minutes late and calmly walked into her homeroom.

It was the first day of the second semester and Wolf was almost immediately swarmed be Seth, Elias and the others, all going on and on about what they did during the short break and he just told them what they wanted to hear, nothing more and nothing less as always. He had walked throughout the whole school with the boys surrounding him as he usually did, passing by all of their homeroom classes and watching as they started to leave, one by one, until it was just him. Wolf had homeroom with his least favorite teacher and wasn't excited about it whatsoever.

He walked in right as the bell rang and sat in the back left corner, silently scanning the room for familiar faces before his attention was brought to the one late student, Zelda. He had seen her n the halls and at lunch a lot and she seemed quite intriguing to him. She was always pegged as the quiet girl, and he liked that. In all honesty, Wolf needed her kind of calm in his life, but he was almost positive that she would never go for a rowdy, party-loving guy like himself. Wolf let out a sigh and pulled his phone out, hiding it stealthily under the desk as he texted the group chat, setting plans for lunch and the weekend that followed.

Zelda took the last seat that was empty which was in front of Wolf. She set her stuff down to her left. She pulled out a planner and saw that she didn't have any homework. The homeroom teacher didn't say anything about Zelda's tardiness. Zel put her planner back in the bag and pulled out her copy of It by Stephen King. She had her pen and was marking up passages in the book writing little notes in the margins.

Wolf watched her as she went and took the empty seat in front of him, seeing her take out her planner, then a quite large book. He had never been big on reading, but there were rumors going around about a five-page essay assignment in his literature class. If those rumors are true then he figured that just skipping that class the whole semester would be a good option for him. He returned his attention to the group chat, a quiet chuckle rumbling in his throat as he tried to hold it back as he read all the mindless spam the guys had all been sending.

Zel cast a casual glance over her shoulder, taking a quick look at Wolf before refocusing her attention on the book in front of her, reading the same lines over and over again. Zelda had begun to notice Wolf a few months ago. She, like many other girls, had found him quite attractive.

Wolf noticed as Zelda gave him a brief glance, but didn't react to it. The teacher heard his chuckle and he quickly slipped his phone into his pocket, but not quite fast enough. He looked up at the sound of the teacher's heels clicking got closer, her hand held out to him expectantly. Wolf gave her a cold glare as she asked him to give her the device and he very reluctantly gave it up with an aggravated huff. 'Well, now what?' he thought as he looked around the nearly silent room, noticing how many others were on their phones also and coming to the conclusion that Mrs. Ethel just hated him.

Zelda's shoulders shook with silent laughter for a few moments as Wolf's phone was taken away. She kept her head down trying to get sucked back into her novel. Her hair kept falling in her face so she dogeared the page she was on before pulling her long hair into a ponytail on the back of her head.
