The un-usual peaceful sunset gently clouded Corridors skies, decorating the amber sky with purple clouds. The bright sun supporting the life on this distant planet glazed the bustling cities a yellow tinge, the windows of buildings and cars alike sparkled like stars on a sheet of night sky...
The usual ships flew by, only the higher classes of Corridaians possesed enough money to own one of these ships, able to fly the hight of the tallest building on the planet, before cutting out and beging its decent back down to the floors.
Some gunships, ships of the local malitia- the Scardi, patrolled the higher skylanes. Each one patrolling a huge building in the centre of the city. Known only as the great Temple of Corridor. Inside, housed hundereds of powerful animals, known as the Scardi. Aswell as thousands of Jackels, their loyal troopers. More and more Jackels began to patroll the streets in these times of peace, in fear of The Corruption striking a devestating blow to the Scardi home.
Inside one of the ships, sat a highly decorated Scardi. His unmistakable tanned fur with striking brown stripes whipped in the current as he leant out an open gunnery-door to the ship. His dark Sapphire eyes slowly studdied the city below. He wore the Royal Robes, A bright golden cape and bracelet, as well as the beautiful, delicate, crown of the Scardi. It was of a silver mould, barely 2cm thick, encrusted with blue gems and patterned in what looked like a leafy way. However it was barely noticeable, against his huge sword and thick, bloodstained, sash that sat comfortably across his shoulder. This was none other that the leader of all Scardi, Blackshmeir.
"The skies are quiet tonight." He called, his deep voice over-sounding the hum of the engines. He leant in as he looked at his acompanying crew. Two Elite Guards, Two special J's and a Small red Fox, Also wearing the royal robes.
The Guards said nothing. Their heavy golden masks hid their faces, only their bright eyes visable. However their pupils were not clear. From afar, they would seem pure white. Like glowing orbs settled on a blue, green or orange base.
"At least Exali has kept away..." Rose stated, swishing her tail in a dominant way. Her crimson fur also rippled in the current, yet not as much as the great leader. Her canid fur being shorter than Blackshmeir's feline coat...
Blackshmeir huffed. "'Being quiet' isn't his style, Rose. If he's making noise we know where he is and what he's planning..." He explained. He looked in her direction, meeting her aqua blue gaze breifely before she looked away.
"But 'Being Loud' means someone out there is dying..." She said, lifting her head high, Her thin nose lifting snobbishly as she spoke to her High Leader.
"In war, people die. You've never been on the battlefeild Rose. You don't know..." Blackshmeir replied in a swift growl.
Rose gritted her teeth. She wanted to reply yet through sheer respet, didn't. True, she'd never seen war, but she had seen death. "Atleast the new Cubs are ready for Apprenticeship." She mumbled. However Blacks keen hearing depicted her sly speech over the engines hum.
"Yes... This year we have fresh blood to throw into the front lines..." He said hopelessly. He swished his paw in the air and looked back out into the Amber sky.
"You see the new breed as slabs of meat?"
"I see the new breed as much hope for this war as Battlestar and his Armada..."
"Battlestar has brought more victories to our cause than any other Scardi. He's even starting to match your records Blackshmeir." Rose smiled playfully.
Blackshmeir sent a peircing look at Rose. His eyes looking straight into her soul.
Rose didn't break. She sat as still as she did before.
They sat silent for a few minuets, the Jackles daring not to speak. Turbulance jogged the ship a little as they turned in the air lane.
"The new breed-" Blackshmeir began. He left the subject of his close friend, Battlestar, to a side. "They are going to be trained by the best. Tali, Jorah'an and Jarreck. Because we both know the victory to this war lies in the old soldiors hands- not the fresh 'slabs of meat' as you put it."
----------------------------------------------------------
Tali walked slowly down the corridors of the Temple. The dim lights of the hallways lighting up her beautiful, slender face. One side, uniquely decorated with beautiful red markings. Spirals and odd shapes decorated all the way down her face to her hand. However her other side completely bare, only her dull purple fur. She worse a dark blue scarf around her neck, that hung the full way down to her waist. It was bare, no markings, but she saw it as a very valuable object in her life. As one would see his or her sword.
The fox like Scardi master walked with a small smile printed on her face. Soon, she was to become a master to a young cub. Forbidden herself by religion from having any cubs, she could only find that certain feeling of parenthood by fostering and training a cub. A master saw their apprentice as their own, treating them as they would their own child. Tali looked forward to helping a young one on their way to ultimate power.
