[̲̅y̲̅]ou are a lion. Since the day you were brought into this world, you have been taught of natures cruelties and the hardships of life. Ever since you were a cub, you have been taught that only the strong survive. Only those who can prove their worth are meaningful. You, as a lion, have witnessed many move to the next world because they didn't have the strength that has brought you this far. The year is 2013, not that the date it meaningful to you in any distinctive way. You were born in the Maasai Mara National Game Reserve located in Kenya, but to you this place is only called home and territory.

Times are hard. You are still young, and you have been chased from your pride for one of many reasons. Maybe it was to avoid competition, or maybe the pride was growing to large to manage? Whatever it be you are now alone. Alone during one of the worst heatwaves ever recorded in the Maasai Mara. Will you find a new pride to help you push through this hardship? Will you try to push through it alone?

Note- All characters will start off as either young adults or adults that have recently become or always been prideless. Cubs will only be available through roleplay as they are born.

1.

As always, follow all of Chickensmoothie's rules. Not that I doubt you would but it is mandatory it gets stated. ^^ This includes the character image rules, and the no force mating / fade to black for mating&birthing rule.

2.

This is a realistic roleplay. Your lions age, they die, they get hurt and they don't always win. If a male takes over another males pride and the pride has young cubs, the new male will kill all existing cubs. A male will mate with all females in his pride besides his offspring. 80% of cubs die before adulthood, so if you have a litter of five only one or two cubs would likely survive. There will usually only be one male in a pride, as the pride male will usually chase off younger males once they are two years of age.

3.

Please have decent grammar and spelling. I don't mind how much you write, as long as it is enough to reply to. Meaning not "He smiled." A post that could be responded to would look something like "He smiled and shook his mane, hazel eyes locked on the female. The males thoughts would come to wonder how his pride would come to grow over his lifetime now that he was no longer alone. After all, the scents of lionesses in his territory were becoming more distinctive and once the sun began to rise he would set out again to search for them."

4.

This is one roleplay that I'm honestly not to worried about gender ratios with, since it is likely that there will probably be more lionesses than males played anyways. However I don't want to see fifteen females and zero males.

5.

You can play as many characters as you can manage. I just expect that if you have five characters that you are active with all of them.

6.

Please do not kill off another players character without permission (Cubs exclude this rule, if it is a new male taking over a pride). You may however seriously injure them.

7.

Personality: A shy and gentle lioness with somewhat of a fiery side when it comes to cubs, Ziwa has always been a bit submissive. Being basically condemned shortly after birth to the life of a wayward soul, the young lioness has always felt somewhat like an outcast and hasn't ever really viewed herself as anything more. Knowing that her father wasn't at all fond with her, nor did her pridemates expect much of her, it had left its tole on the white feline. She often views herself as a lesser being compared to others of her kind.
History: As you may have been able to tell by Ziwa's colouration, she was born with a light variation of albinism. Her mother, a soft-hearted lioness by the name of Viaao, tried her best to keep the cub from her sires eyes as long as possible, but it was only a matter of time before the primed pride male named Krirc found out about Ziwa's birth. When her abnormality was indeed discovered, the male wasn't happy. After all, he ran his pride strictly, but it was what allowed them to survive and flourish. Krirc wasn't evil, nor was he cold, and told Viaao that once her cub reached the age of two years that she would be chased from their pridelands. If she survived, maybe another pride would find her and take her under their wing. If she didn't survive, mother nature would carry out what Kiric expected. After all a white-furred lioness can easily be spotted through the tan grass if she hunts during the day. From then onward, Ziwa has been just trying to keep herself alive, scavenging off of other kills and avoiding what seemed to be hostile pride territory.

Personality: Upesi is care-free in most instances and can be somewhat of a hard-head when he doesn't want to change his opinion on something though will 'agree to disagree'. Often scavenging off of lions kills he doesn't fear the felines as most birds his size do. However, that doesn't mean that Upesi exactly trusts them not to eat him, and there for can be kinda jumpy around the large cats.
History: Nothing that interesting to be said in Upesi's history so far. The young piapiac was born into a clutch of two others, a brother and a sister. The two, to his knowledge, ended up flying off to start their own lives at the same time that Upesi did. Be they dead or alive is not something that the bird dwells on as the future and present are more important for the time being.

Personality: Talutah is a rude, selfish player and has little to no feelings for anyone. She will treasure you like a pierce of fresh meat, but you better watch out or she'll rip your heart out. Although her heart is full of hatred, there is a but of warmth there, but it only fits one thing: cubs.
