Comet sniffed the air. Smelling no prey he turned back and padded towards the camp. "Zaxa?" The beta called. He hadn't seen the fae in a while and she was a good friend of his.

She turned to him and raisedher ears. She couldbt believe it was comet. He was the same. Didnt chabge a bit. "Comet?"

Comet hadn't seen Zaxa since he was appointed Beta Male, he was honestly scared to confront her. The brute feared him being Beta would ruin their friendship. Maybe Zaxa would consider Comet higher then her. He liked the mutual friendship him and Zaxa had, if she considered him higher then their friendship would be over.

Comet went of his way to not seem dominant, instead he wagged his tail and barked enthusiastically. "Zaxa! I haven't seen you in forever!" He greeted, a warm smile across his face. He was both overjoyed to see Zaxa and afraid how she would react to his new rank.

She jumped around playfully. "where have you been!?" she wagged her tail. Sh felt reborn, because hher life returned.

Comet drooped his tail. "Honestly?" he asked the fae. "Honestly I've been sort of hiding. I guess this whole being Beta thing is bugging me. I'm only two years old and about as responsible as a rock. I don't think I'll manage being Beta, let alone Alpha when Blaze retires. I don't think I'm ready." Comet explained. He turned his head away and let out a soft whimper. "And... I was also worried that maybe our friendship wouldn't be the same now that I'm Beta. I like the way our friendship is, I don't want this new responsibility I have to get in the way." Comet finally admitted, avoiding eye contact with Zaxa.
