Logan didn't quite agree with what Jay said about trusting people, but he shrugged slightly in response, as though he was indifferent to it all. "...I see. Well, see you around, then," he said, watching as Jay walked off. Then, he glanced around as well, deciding to make it a goal to speak to at least two more people that evening. He just needed to find someone else to talk to - but he didn't want to end up being the only person making an effort, so he also figured that if someone was not looking interested in conversation, then he wouldn't bother approaching them.

Upon glancing around, he spotted some girl sitting with her foal. Logan rolled his eyes at that - he didn't think that it was appropriate for any animal to be around where humans ate. He also saw another girl, looking way too overdressed for the occasion, which he rolled his eyes at as well, considering it to be showing off. Finally, he spotted someone who looked to be relatively normal, sitting at a table, and he walked over to the young woman. Once he reached her, he greeted her, fairly neutrally, "Hello..." he still wasn't too sure how to actually start the conversation, so he introduced himself again, "I'm Logan,"

Rory jumped and turned around when she heard Valour’s voice, she punched him lightly on the shoulder and said, “I saw you found Chance. Seems like he gets in trouble with that girl’s dog.” She quirked an eyebrow, “I think he likes Lei better anyways.” She grinned and then clapped excitedly when she saw the food coming out. Turning back to the guys behind her she asked Valour in particular, “You ready to eat? I am hungry.” she walked over to one of the tables and sat down. She left an open seat for Valour next to her, he was the only person she had really met, anyway. When she went to sit, she pulled her dress under her and set out the napkin. Lei sat obediently at her feet. She leaned down to rub the dog’s head.

bella stood there, looking a little out of place. she watched valour and the other girl as they talked and smiled. they don't act like a couple... she didn't really want to get her hopes up, but she couldn't help it. then again, it wasn't as if she actually knew valour well. she jumped as someone spoke to her. "oh! um, hi! I'm bella" she noticed that the food had started to trickle out of the kitchen and her stomach rumbled in response to the delicious smells wafting over. bella noticed that the girl and valour were heading over to the tables...together. she sighed through her nose. she would have liked to sit next to someone she had actually spoken to, like valour, but she had a feeling that the girl wouldn't appreciate her company. she looked at molly. "do you mind if I sit with you?" bella asked, trying not to seem awkward.

eli frowned at her hand. he'd never been one to socialise and did not particularly like touching strangers, let alone shaking their hand. he shook her hand tentatively, not entirely sure whether he was doing it right. he was pretty certain he gripped her hand too hard, though. "I'm eli" he responded. he saw her pat the dog at her feet. eli didn't have anything against dogs really, but he preferred cats. cats were much less sociable and needy, in his opinion. he noticed that the food was being brought out, but he really didn't feel like going to eat, so he just sort of stood there awkwardly, waiting for avalon to say something.

Nico wondered about how much Liam spoke. “Uh, that was more of an accident. Finding a job so easy as a vet is something you can’t deny. We did a lot of welfare work and I somehow started to collect my ponies. I wanted to try something new, somewhere where my ponies could live close to me and I had more regular patients with less bad diseases and injuries than in welfare. So I applied here and got accepted.” He thought back to the times he worked in animal welfare. He saw so many so sick horses, a lot of them did not make it. And then his colleague, he had worked with regularly, was involved in the abuse of Vince and other ponies… He just had to quit that. He saw how a young woman entered the hall with an even younger foal. Why would you do that?! Alaska finished bottle feeding before she then put her foal halter on her and grabbed a short lead before clicking and the filly followed her as Alaska then walked to the event hall once again. Alaska then kissed Felicity's nose before walking in and Felicity followed befire stopping to look, her ears perked looking around and Alaska spotted an open corner before going to it before sitting down and the foal laid down next to her and watched people "hmm? Okay, and that wont be needed, unless you feel the need to and its time anyways for her to be bottle fed" she answered polietly before getting up ger foal getting up also. She then gave the man a nod, before making her way out the door and she walked with her foal to the barn and too the stall before walking to get the milk made. She then came back, locked the stall and nursed her foal, once the foal was finished, Alaska then washed it out before sitting with her foal,

Avalon barely noticed Eli’s strong grip, though she was well aware of her clammy hands that had probably gripped too lightly. She finally stood, not being able to look up to him anymore. Maddox stood right next to her. To any dog lover, the shepherd’s perfect manners and attention to Avalon’s whereabouts would be surprising, but she guessed Eli wasn’t a dog lover. Her voice was quiet as she spoke “It’s ok. Maddox has had years of...” she paused, about to say emotional support dog training, but instead settled on, “Training. Many, many years of training.” She coughed and looked up, noticing the food was coming out. They happened to be next to a table so she sat. Though she wasn’t sure whether she wanted Eli to sit next to her or not.

He nodded at Molly and gave her a small wave as she turned around and left to go talk to a blond-haired woman. He turned back towards Jacob. "So, are just a bull rider, or do you do other events too?" he asked. As he waited for the man's response, a flash of brown hair caught his eye. From where he was standing with Jacob, he couldn't quite see what it was, but its legs seemed way to long to be any sort of dog. For a split second, he caught a full view of the animal, and was quite surprised to see it was a foal, of all things. A dog? Now that's a little strange, but a foal? I'd say that's a first, he thought, and it made him chuckle. He watched as what he guessed was its owner led it to a table in a corner, and it settled down at her feet. "Well, it looks like this'll be an interesting dinner," he said, gesturing to the filly.
