There's a simple question that I must ask, I'm purely curious and all ears to anyone who can answer this question. Why do we fall in love? All it creates is a cycle of love, hatred, sorrow, regret... And it continually plays; laughing in your face as the girl you met last night, the one you thought you clicked with.. Yeah, her, well she didn't even give you a chance. After you left the party she crumpled the piece of paper with your number on it and threw it on the nearest table. Or that guy you've been crushing on, daydreaming about him while you're supposedly plotting book ideas... He doesn't know you exist. The cruel truths of the world. The cruel truths about love.

Background

Who knew that when a mere decade passed, rules for love would rise and be enforced. There were never restrictions on the topic, never. It was one of the few things in this world that had freedom. Government performed tests, like it always did when something seemed unstable or threatening. Well, somehow they tested love. There's no doubt about it, love is unstable, unpredictable.. Sometimes it can be harmful. Testing with five female and male subjects, they agreed love should be banned. It caused too many unneeded emotions such as- Frustration, Depression, Feel Physically Incapacitated and much more.

The government dealt with the situation by enlisting everyone on a special program named 'Unit 34-B'. This new program is to ensure that those unneeded emotions are unused. This program puts together a pair {A Male and A Female} generically, of which they have to abide by all the rules set before them. If they don't choose to get paired, disagree with who they've been paired with or do not follow the rules; consequences will be made. To view the Rules and Consequences, please read forth.

Character Rules

{ These rules are for the Role Play; not the overall rules you as a Role Player have to follow. These rules are for your characters.~ Let me say; please read the section after Consequences. You will get most all the Role Play's information out of that one. }

The government proved it's power by taking away the one thing we thought we needed so badly. What teenagers longed for during High School. What made you feel braver, more confident with yourself.. Love. Like stated above, love is banned. Here are the rules you must abide by.. Or else.

▫ You must sign up for the program at 13 years old, before August 3rd.
▪ You will be paired at age 16 on December 16th. The Male or Female you're paired will be your fiancee.
▪ Marriage will be at age 24 with the fiancee you were paired with at 16.
▪ You can have children after marriage. Children are assigned to you
▪ If your fiancee dies or falls ill, you will be repaired a week later.
▪ After age 35, if your husband or wife passes or falls ill, you will not have a replacement husband or wife. Sadly you must carry on life alone.
▪ Whatever you do, you may not show affection. Your fiancee is just a companion, not a boyfriend or girlfriend.
▪ When completing everyday activities in public, you may not take long looks towards other pairs. You stay loyal to your fiancee.
▪ When in public, you are representing your family. Whether it be you and your husband's or wife's family, or your family.
▪ The last rule, whatever you do, you may not teach anyone, or learn about.. Love.

Consequences

{ These rules are for the Role Play; not the overall rules you as a Role Player have to follow. These rules are for your characters.~ Let me say; please read the section after Consequences. You will get most all the Role Play's information out of that one. }

These are some consequences when the rules are broken.

▫ Jail { Time depends on crime. }
▪ Instituted { For reteaching the Rules of the community. }
▪ Shunned { Extreme Cases }
▪ Disowned Degree One { You will loose your Fiancee / Husband / Wife ;; Family and loose your custody over children. }
▪ Disowned Degree Two { You will loose your Fiancee / Husband / Wife ;; Family and will be kicked from the town. }

Wait, What?!

"No, I love, love! Love is great, why are you taking it away?! No!" Some people obviously will disagree with the rules... Which is why I say, go ahead and break them. The main point of this Role Play is for people to override and try to rebel against the government. The main theme of this Role Play is, Forbidden Love.

Love is never lost. Just merely astray.

Your, The Role Player's, Rules

Oh joy, rules.

▫ Literacy
Literacy can vary. There is no set minimum; neither a set maximum. All I ask is you Role Play the best you can at the point of the Role Play. Writer's Block is acceptable, but please don't repeatedly announce you have it. Say it once then move on. Please no text talk. I will say this once. You use text talk, you're out. No 'u' for you, no 'r' for are, no 'gtg' for got to go... Etc. Period.
▪ Modern
This Role Play is set in a modern time period; as in there's no 'funky' technology. It's the same as current time, so please keep that in mind.
▪ Stick To The Plot
Always keep the plot in your mind and enforce it into your posts. Don't put, 'Suzie held hands with John as they walked'. You know love is banned, so you shouldn't allow your characters to be unconcerned about it. It's a big deal.
▪ Genders
Please keep genders even. Easily said- Make a girl and boy. My apologies if you don't like Role Playing a guy, but how would you feel if this is a romance Role Play, everyone has a match besides.... You. Just because there weren't enough guys, or in rare cases, girls.
▪ Matches
Don't get upset with your match. I match you randomly. Please just accept it, besides... You may break the rules.
▪ Your Character's Rules
Break em'! Who needs them anyways? They may be there but nobody can force their beliefs on you.
▪ Complaining
Over all, no complaining. Without a warning, complainers will be kicked. No if's or but's about it.
▪ Swearing
All forms of swearing accepted, {{ Besides the few I'll list out in a second. }}, just star it out please. { A** ;; Sh*t ;; Dumba** ;; B*tch } The only words I don't accept are any form of the male genitals, and retarded. Those are not accepted and you will be kicked if you use them.
▪ Character Forms
Please make your own forms, just so I can get a grasp on your creativity and literacy. Bowtail generously created a generic form if you need one. It's on page two, fourth to last post.

Obviously,

Obviously this is a small community of people. Every day new people come in, but aren't offered a way out. Once you come in you are part of the community. If you don't like the rules you can't leave, you have to deal with them. The dictators came up to this rule due to how many people would leave the town after they heard of each rule.. Especially the 'love' rules. Many people would come in with a loved one, only to be torn way from them and assigned a fiancee... One they barely knew.

All citizens have their opinions. Sadly they're not heard by the government.

Sure. I'd also like to mention as I'm trying to put the rules together as quickly as possible. I'd like both genders to remain even. Please make both a girl and boy. I will make a few exceptions, but they're not usual. This is a rule set in concrete. Now this isn't pointed just at you V i b r a, it's for everyone.
