Pound Glitching?

I just tried to visit the pound after stalking it for ages but instead of loading straight away & instantly reloading after each 20second wait like it usually does it took ages each load and it even came up a few times with "There was an error please try again", which of course made it take even longer. By the time it finally loaded to the second page half the pets were gone. I have a decent computer and net connection and don't usually get this issue when I visit the pound so was wondering if there might be a glitch?

I dont have much of a decent computer/net connection, so when it starts to do that I usually just click the pound's link at the top of the page to get it going again.

It's due to the server being overloaded from so many people visiting at one time
